Barack Obama Falling in the Polls … Just in Time for Larry Sabato’s First 2012 Electoral Map
Can Obama get to 270 electoral votes with record unemployment and gas prices heading toward $5 and $6 a gallon? It’s 18 months away …
Larry Sabato takes his Crystal Ball and presents the first electoral map of the 2012 Presidential election. Although it is a bit soon, it is a good baseline to start. There are so many GOP candidates that will toss their hat or scarf in the ring for the 2012 election. Much will change along the way and a better picture will come into focus as we get closer to a GOP nominee and general election campaign. However, much has changed since 2008. You can make the calculations from the map below, 270 electoral votes are needed to win.
With 18 months to go until November 2012, there is exactly one use for a current projection of the 2012 Electoral College results. This is merely a baseline from which we can judge more reliable projections made closer to the election. Where did we start–before we knew the identity of the Republican nominee for president, the state of the economy in fall 2012 and many other critical facts?
However, it seems like a lifetime since the 2008 election that saw Barack Hussein Obama win the US Presidency over John McCain. Much has changed since 2008 and none of it for the good. Obama finds his present polling data falling fast. Almost as fast as gasoline prices are rising. His average job approval polling average from Real Clear Politics is presently at 45.4% approve, 50% disapprove. These are hardly the numbers that an incumbent president wants to see as an economy continues to sputter, jobs continue to grow at a snails pace, unemployment rate still high and voters are about to feel a pain at the gas pump as they have never experienced. All polls now have Obama underwater.
Gallup: 43% – 49% (-6)
Rasmussen Reports: 46% – 53% (-7)
ABC News/Wash Post: 47% – 50% (-3)
McClatchy/Marist: 44% – 49% (-5)
Democracy Corps(D): 44% – 50% (-6)
CNN/Opinion Research: 48% – 50% (-2)
Reuters/Ipsos: 46% – 49% (-3)
Sabato’s above 2012 initial electoral map hardly looks like the one from 2008 where Obama/Biden beat McCain/Palin, 365 – 173. There certainly is a lack of blue on the 2012 electoral map as compared to the mood of the country in 2008. Does any one think that states like New Hampshire, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, North Carolina and Florida will be Obama wins? America will finally get a chance to show Barack Obama just exactly what they think of Obamacare, Obamanomics, his policies, agenda and a “Hope & Change” that America could have done without.
Then there is the 2010 Electorial Map as pointed out by Protein Wisdom where “The One” must worry that pretty much all toss up states in 2010 went RED to the GOP. Thus one would expect a
Barack Obama will have defend his last four years as President, no cute slogans or catch phrases … unless its, No Jobs You can Believe In. There is a long way to go until 2012; however, Obama also has an up hill climb and he cannot fall back on any fallacy that he is a DC outsider.

The Divider in Chief: Obama Uses False Information for Minnesota Bridge Collapse to Push Political Agenda for More Taxes
Barack Obama cannot get any more offensive, or can it? OBAMA, THE DIVIDER … IS THIS REALLY WHAT AMERICA NEEDS?
The President is in full campaign mode and once again just like when he was candidate Obama, the truth means nothing. In a speech yesterday at a Town Hall meeting at Northern Virginia Community College in Annadale, VA. Barack Obama referenced the bridge collapse in Minnesota as a reason to not raise taxes to get funds for transportation infrastructure. Obama condemned the GOP plan to cut the transportation department by 1/3. In doing so he said that there would be more pot holes and bridge collapses.
LIAR.
As pointed out by Hot Air, to suggest that the Minnesota bridge collapse was a result of a lack of spending is a lie and offensive. However, the Minnesota bridge collapse had to be with structural design, according to the National Transportation Board. Can anything Barack Obama says be believed? This is just a flat out lie to use the deaths of Americans in a terrible bridge collapse for his political agenda. Sick, just SICK!
If his lips are moving, can a lie be not far behind?

Obama Job Approval Rating Now Below 50% With Even the Poor
Even the poor are asking themselves if they are better off today than they were before Barack Obama.
President Barack Obama even failing with his job approval with the poor. According to a CNS report, Obama’s approval among the poorest Americans dropped to an all time low of 48% last week. This presents Obama with quite a perplexing situation. He now is under 50% job approval with all income classes.
Each week, Gallup publishes the president’s average approval rating for the previous week among four income brackets: those who earn $2,000 per month or less, those who earn between $2,000 and $4,999 per month, those who earn between $5,000 and $7,499 per month, and those who earn $7,500 per month or more.
For the week of April 4-10, Obama’s approval rating was 48 percent among those making $2,000 or less per month, and 46 percent among those in each of the three higher income brackets.
Think this has any thing to do with Obama’s new class warfare in proposing taxes on millionaires and billionaires, even though it means any one who makes more than $200 K. Barack Obama is in for quite a tough run in 2012.

Obama’s Trip to Williamsburg: With a Government Shut Down Hours Away … Does Obama Have the Audacity to Take Another Vacation
Are you serious, another Obama vacation? Barack Obama with yet another example of more Presidental skin in the game …
Whether the government is on the verge of shutting down or not, what is up with this President going on yet another vacation? As reported at the Daily Press, President Obama and the First Family are planning to visit the Colonial Williamsburg. They are calling it a long planned family trip. And to make matters worse, on Thursday morning, the Federal Aviation Administration established a no-fly zone over Williamsburg that will be in place from Friday through Monday.
So the question remains, will Barack Obama have the audacity to take this vacation if the government shuts down? Also, the question needs to be asked why Obama and Michelle think its ok to continuously take vacations when most of America cannot afford to. Did Obama run for President so that he could receive the perks of the job? It is certainly looking that way. One would think that a President would have a bit more empathy for the plight of Americans and not continue to take a vacation or going golf at every opportunity. Not only have people questioned whether Obama has the ability to lead and is late to the show when dealing with important issues like Libya and the budget crisis resulting in a possible government shut down … Obama gives the perception that he is not engaged with the disastrous situation in America.
Just the other day Obama stated that he “remembered what it was like to pump gas”. Maybe Obama would also like to show “We the People” that he remembers what it is like to do without. As the Lonely Conservative opines, “while so many Americans suffer through this rotten economy and endure the inflation caused by his policies, we can still live vicariously through the Obama family. Lucky us”. No wonder Obama wanted an answer on the budget battle this morning and the pending government shut down because he has a vacation planned for this weekend.
UPDATE I: Doug Ross has Obama’s calendar and asks the question … Is this the calendar of a President concerned with a budget, a government shutdown, the troops, unemployment or rising gas prices. The answer would be no.
2012 cannot come soon enough.

Obama: Do as I Say, Not as I Do Green Vehicle Policy … Presidential Limo & Security Vehicles Exempt
Green for thee, not for me …
Yet more hypocritical policies from President Barack Obama … Presidential limousine, security vehicles exempt from fed ‘green’ vehicle policy. Should we have expected anything less? Barack Obama stated last week that he would use the government’s purchasing power to promote fuel efficient cars and stating that 100% of new government vehicles would be ‘green’ by 2015. All will be “green” except Obama’s limo and a Secret Service vehicles.
Barack Obama’s presidential limousine will be exempt from his drive to make all government vehicles environmentally friendly, the Secret Service has revealed.
The president last week insisted that he would use the government’s purchasing power to promote fuel efficient cars – insisting 100 per cent of new government vehicles would be ‘green’ by 2015.
But the Secret Service said that the directive would not apply to some vehicles used for law enforcement and security including the president’s Cadillac limousine.
How typical and convenient. So this is what “Hope & Change” looks like.
