17 Years Later after the Death of 6 Year Old JonBenet Ramsey, Murder Indictment to be Unsealed Over Family’s Objection

The unsolved death of 6 year old JonBenet Ramseyback in the news …

17 years later after the death of 6 year old JonBenet Ramsey, the murder indictment is to be unsealed. The murder indictment of her parents, John and Patricia Ramsey Ramsey, was kept secret all these years and never prosecuted. The Ramsey family has objected to the release of the indictment; however, Senior District Judge J. Robert Lowenbach said he was “sympathetic” to the Ramsey family’s position but was only allowed under law to release the indictment.  JonBenet Ramsey was found dead  beaten and strangled in the basement of her parent’s Colorado home on Dec. 26, 1996. Patricia Paugh Ramsey died of ovarian cancer in 2006.

Seventeen years after the nation was riveted by the unsolved murder of 6-year-old beauty-pageant queen JonBenet Ramsey, an indictment of her parents — which was kept secret and never prosecuted — will be released Friday.

It’s unclear what light the 18 pages of grand jury documents will shed on the mystery that spawned books, TV movies and countless theories about who killed the little girl found dead in the basement of her Colorado home on Dec. 26, 1996.

Scott Robinson, a prominent Denver defense lawyer who has followed the case for years, said the court papers probably include a statement of supporting facts that would “give us a sense of of what the grand jury was thinking when they saw the evidence available at that time.”

It will be interesting to see what is in these court documents, more to come …

Missing Child Alert Issued for 9 Year Old Thalio Otto & 8 Year Old Michael Otto … 28 Year Old Mother Yessenia Suarez Also Missing after Domestic Violence Incident in Volusia County, FL (Update: Police Say All Missing are Dead) (Update: Luis Toledo Attempts Suicide)

9 year old  Thalio Otto, 8 year old Michael Otto and their 28 year old mother Yessenia Suarez have been missing since Wednesday, October 23, 2013 in Deltona, Florida. Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert after they went to their home to check on them after relatives of Suarez reported her missing when they had not heard from her. Prior to the disappearance, Suarez’s husband, Luis Toledo, showed up at her job at American K-9 Detection Services on Tuesday, started a fight and slapped her face. Toledo was arrested on domestic violence charges Wednesday.

According to reports, the family has dealt with domestic issues in the past and Luis Toledo was arrested in 2000 on charges of attempted second degree murder, robbery with a firearm, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and kidnapping with intent to inflict harm with a weapon in Orange County, FL. However, the case was never prosecuted. The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office are considering the two missing children and the mom as endangered under suspicious circumstances.

A manhunt is underway for a Deltona mother and her two children who went missing after a domestic-violence incident.

“Keep your eyes open and please look for them,” said Emilio Suarez, father of the missing 28-year-old mother Yessenia Suarez. “Life is not the same without them.”

The Florida Department of Law Enforcement issued a missing child alert for 9-year-old Thalio Otto and 8-year-old Michael Otto Thursday morning. Authorities said the children could be with their mother.

Volusia County deputies are still at Suarez’s home searching for clues that will lead them to the family.

Deputies started exploring the house Wednesday after relatives of Suarez reported her missing around 9:20 a.m. because they were worried that they had not heard from her.

Suarez’s husband, Luis Toledo, 31, showed up at her job at American K-9 Detection Services in Lake Mary on Tuesday about 1:30 p.m., started a fight and slapped her cheek, an arrest report states.

UPDATE I: 2 children missing from Volusia County.

They may be with their 28-year-old mother Yessenia Suarez, the news release from the Department of Law Enforcement said.

Thalia has black hair and brown eyes and is 3 feet tall.

Otto is 3-foot-4 with black hair and brown eyes.

Suarez is 5-foot-3 and weighs 130 pounds.

UPDATE II: Authorities say missing Florida mom and her two children are dead, husband (Luis Toeldo) person of interest in case.

Sad news to report, but not unexpected when the facts of the story were first reported. 9 year old Thalio Otto,  8 year old Michael Otto and their mom,  28 year old Yessenia Suarez are all considered deceased by authorities, however, their bodies have not yet been found. Luis Toledo is considered a person of interest in the triple murder.

Gary Davidson with the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office tells MyFoxOrlando.com authorities have determined the three are dead but their bodies have not been located.

“The search for the victims’ bodies and the investigation into their deaths is still ongoing, and no one has been charged at this time,” Davidson said.

Police are considering her husband, Luis Toeldo, 31, a possible person of interest in the case.

UPDATE III: Husband of Suarez and sole person of interest in the case attempts Suicide in Jail.

Of course he did, that is what cowards do.

UPDATE IV: Search continues for remains of Deltona mom, kids … remains found not that of missing mom and children.

Authorities said they found remains in a wooded area off U.S. Highway 17-92 while searching on Sunday for a missing Deltona mother and her two children.

The remains are of an adult, said Shannon Cordingly, a Sanford police spokeswoman. But it’s likely they’re not of 28-year-old Yessenia Suarez, who has been missing for about a week, Cordingly added. She said the medical examiner still needs to conduct an autopsy.

“The skeletal remains have been there for a long time,” she said. “It was bones we found.”

Hmm, I wonder what missing person’s remains police might have just found in the search for  Thalio Otto, Michael Otto and  Yessenia Suarez?

If anyone has any information about Suarez or her children can call the Sheriff’s Office at 386-736-5999 or 911.

Shots were fired from a semiautomatic handgun at 7:16 a.m. at the Sparks Middle School in Nevada just before classes got underway. The gunman was a 12 year old boy.  Two boys were wounded, a teacher and the shooter are dead. Michael Landsberry, a 45 year old 8th grade math teacher and former US Marine is being hailed as a hero as he was fatally shot trying to shield children from the shooter as the teacher tried told the boy to put the gun down. However, the gun went off killing Michael Landsberry. Sadly, how does a Marine survive two tours in Afghanistan, only to be killed by a 12 year old school boy? To a true American hero … Rest in Peace.

HERO -  Michael Landsberry, Rest in Peace

A mathematics teacher was hailed as a “hero” after being fatally shot while apparently trying to shield students from a 12-year-old boy who opened fire at a Nevada middle school on Monday.

The slain teacher was identified by his brother as Michael Landsberry, 45, a former Marine and a member of the Nevada Air National Guard who celebrated his wedding anniversary last Friday.

Authorities suggested that Landsberry tried to protect students, but stressed they were still investigating. Two boys were wounded before the shooter took his own life at Sparks Middle School, east of Reno. The Associated Press reported that the incident was witnessed by 20 or 30 children.

“We have a lot of heroes today, including our children … and our fallen hero, an amazing teacher,” Washoe County School District Superintendent Pedro Martinez said.

UPDATE I: Nevada student shoots teacher dead, wounds two before killing self.

“A kid started getting mad and he pulled out a gun and shoots my friend, one of my friends at least,” a seventh-grade student identified as Andrew Thompson told local television station KOLO. “And then he walked up to a teacher and says back up. The teacher started backing up and he pulled the trigger.”

“The teacher was just lying there and he was limp,” he told KOLO. “And me and five other friends went to him and said ‘come on, we’ve got to get him to safety.’ We picked him up, carried him a little bit far and we left him because our vice principal came along and said ‘go, go, go, get to safety, get to safety.’ So we left the teacher there and we went to safety.”

UPDATE II: Teacher Michael Landsberry, killed in Sparks Middle School shooting, called a hero.

It came as no surprise to Michael Landsberry’s family that the Sparks Middle School math teacher is being called a hero for trying to get a student to put his gun down before being shot and killed.

“To hear he was trying to protect those kids, that he stepped up and tried to stop the situation, doesn’t surprise me at all,” said Chanda Landsberry, who is married to Michael’s brother younger brother, Reggie. “He could have ducked and hid, but he didn’t. That’s not who he is.”

“He was trained to help.”
