24 Year Old Karen Dziewit of Chicopee, MA Faces Wiretapping Charges For Recording Her Own Arrest of Disorderly Conduct

It’s illegal to tape your own arrest, REALLY?

24 year old Karen Dziewit of Chicopee, Mass. charged with daring to record her police arrest. She was arrested over the weekend for disorderly conduct and an open container as she was being a little too loud and belligerent while drinking on Chestnut Street Sunday morning in Springfield and refused to cooperate with police. But that is not the story here. It appears the she activated the voice recording feature on her smart phone and recorded her arrest. The Chicopee woman was taken to police headquarters for booking where the officers inventoried the contents of her purse, they found the phone actively recording the entire process. They added the charge of with unlawful wiretapping.

A Chicopee woman apparently got a little too loud and belligerent while drinking on Chestnut Street Sunday morning, and refused to cooperate with police when they asked her to quiet down. When she was about to be arrested, police say the woman activated the voice recording feature on her smart phone, hid it in her purse and surreptitiously? recorded the entire arrest. Now she faces the unusual charge of unlawful wiretapping.

She was arrested. But, before she was taken into custody, she apparently started the voice recorder in her smart phone and put it in her purse.

She was taken to police headquarters for booking and as officers inventoried the contents of her purse, they found the phone actively recording the entire process.

Not sure if I agree with this one at all. The Daily Caller points out that Massachusetts s is among the least friendly states for citizens recording cops.

While it may seem absurd that a person could be prosecuted for recording the police–something that civil libertarians encourage responsible citizens to do when they are confronted by law enforcement–Massachusetts is among the least friendly states for citizens recording cops. In most states, it is either always legal to record another person, or at least always legal to record the police, who don’t have an expectation of privacy when serving in an official capacity.

Massachusetts and Illinois, however, have laws on the books requiring both parties to consent to be recorded–even if one of the parties is a cop.

Eleanor Clift Ludicrous Comments on Benghazi Terror Attacks … “Ambassador Stevens Wasn’t Murdered, He Died Of Smoke Inhalation”

Some Liberal moonbats will go to no ends to protect Hillary Clinton from her actions, or lack there of in Benghazi, including making an ass of them self.

Eleanor Clift has said some pretty ignorant things over the years, but this one might just take the cake. Not so much for her partisan, liberal, progressive partisan Democrat view point, but for the fact that she would continue to propagate a lie, a cover-up and a tape at the expense of a deceased US Ambassador. Eleanor Clift actually said on  The McLaughlin Report, “I would like to point out that Ambassador Stevens was not ‘murdered, he died of smoke inhalation in a safe room in that CIA installation.”. SICK, SICK, SICK!!!

WOW … can we just say, LIAR!!! It is safe to say that no one can ever take this fool seriously anymore. She has been a liberal apologist for years, but this is beyond the pale and crazy talk. Of course her main liberal agenda was to protect Hillary Clinton, the presumptive 2016 Democrat presidential nominee. Clift ended her nonsensical ramblings by saying, “and its still a CIA and if you are going to put people on trial we should put David  Petraeus on trail, not Hillary Clinton.”

Clift went on to continue to blame the video tape, which has all but been debunked at this point. Way to be kept in the informational loop Elenore. It is time to put Elenore out to politic pundit pasture. As Red State opines regarding the misguided Clift, “Next she’ll tell us that the 30o girls in Nigeria weren’t kidnapped by Islamic terrorists..they were actually just out on a school field trip, and are lost  in the woods.”

Get used to this folks, defend, deflect, detract and lie to at all cost to protect Hillary Clinton from her record.

Real Clear Politics:

ELEANOR CLIFT: I would like to point out Ambassador Stevens was not murdered. He died of smoke inhalation in the safe room in that CIA installation.

SUSAN FERRECHIO: I don’t think that’s a fact, Eleanor.

CLIFT: I think that is a fact.

FERRECHIO: I’ve heard a drastically different story from people who are also in the know about that. So, I don’t think it is –

PAT BUCHANAN: It was a terrorist attack, Eleanor. He was murdered in a terrorist attack.

CLIFT: It was an opportunistic terrorist attack that grew out of that video.

BUCHANAN: The video had nothing to do with it.

CLIFT: There were demonstrations across the world.

88 Year Old Russell Dermond Found Murdered & Decapitated, His 87 Year Old Wife Shirley Dermond Missing in Reynolds Plantation, GA

GRUESOME  MURDER AND WIFE MISSING IN  REYNOLDS PLANTATION, GA.

88 year old Russell Dermond was found murdered in his garage and his wife,  87 year old Shirley Dermond is missing and believed abducted. She is not believed to be a suspect in her husband’s death.  Authorities confirmed that Russell Dermond was found decapitated. Investigators believe Russell Dermond was killed between last Friday and Sunday, and they’re still searching for his severed head.  Shirley Dermond is 5-foot-2 and weighs 148 pounds. She has gray hair and blue eyes. She is believed to be in danger. In an area where there is almost literally no crime, the the two lived in a multimillion dollar gated community. Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said he doesn’t believe the attack was random, partly because there was no evidence of forced entry or a struggle.

Investigators are treating her disappearance as an abduction, he said. There is no indication she’s a suspect, and there’s “plenty” to indicate she was taken, he said. Her pocketbook, cell phone and vehicle were all at the million-dollar waterfront home where her husband’s headless body was found.

Investigators believe Russell Dermond was killed between last Friday and Sunday, and they’re still searching for his severed head, Sills told reporters, describing the case as “very unusual” and the most frustrating homicide of his career.

“I don’t think it’s a random incident. I think for whatever reason these people were singled out for this,” Sills said. “They live in the most exclusive neighborhood, or one of the most exclusive neighborhoods, in this county. … They’re on a cul-de-sac in a gated, multimillion dollar resort community that we have no crime in.”

Man Beheaded, Wife Missing From Gated Community.

Investigators fear Dermond’s 87-year-old wife, Shirley, was abducted or killed. They were searching for her with the help of the FBI.

“We looked in the woods adjacent to the house, we looked in the lake,” Putnam County Sheriff Howard Sills said during a news conference. “Her pocketbook and things like that are there, her cellphone is there, the car is there — we don’t have anything to track.”

“I certainly hope that she’s still alive but I’m not overly optimistic because of her husband,” he said Thursday afternoon. “If it’s an abduction, you would expect some sort of extortion demand. If it was an assassination you would think both of the people would be there — both bodies would be there.”

Anyone with more information should call the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office at 706-485-8557.

Former Boxer Rubin ‘Hurricane’ Carter, Who Was Wrongly Convicted of Murder Dies at age 76 of Prostate Cancer in Toronto, Canada

Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, the former middleweight boxing contender who spent 19 year in prison after being wrongly convicted of a triple murder, has died in Toronto, Canada at the age of 76 from prostate cancer. John Artis, a longtime friend and caregiver, said Carter died in his sleep Sunday. Rubin Carter spent 19 years in prison for a triple killing at the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey before a federal judge ruled in 1985 that he and John Artis, who was with Carter on the night of the shootings. His story was made famous by Denzel Washington in the 1999 movie, ‘The Hurricane’ and  the Bob Dylan’s 1975 song, ‘Hurricane’.  However, truth be known, there was much poetic Hollywood license and fiction in the movie. There was a bit to much of the softening of The Hurricane. But that being said, it does not change the fact that Rubin “Hurricane” Carter had been very wronged by the system. Carter was freed in November 1985 when his convictions were set aside after years of appeals and public advocacy.

Carter, 76, died of complications from prostate cancer, Wahrer said.

“I always remember spending hours and hours with Rubin talking about the wrongful convictions,” she told CNN. “He was a great mentor and teacher. I felt very fortunate to have those times with him. … He lived a very full life.”

Carter spent 19 years in prison for a triple killing in New Jersey before a federal judge ruled in 1985 that he and John Artis, who was with Carter on the night of the shootings, did not receive fair trials and released them.

The Toronto Star: Rubin “Hurricane” Carter dead at 76.

His career as a prized, top middleweight boxer ended abruptly when he was wrongfully convicted of a 1966 triple murder in New Jersey. In 1985 a U.S. judge freed him, ruling that the prosecution had conducted “an appeal to racism rather than reason, concealment rather than disclosure.”

After he was released from prison Carter moved to the Toronto area, where he took up the cause to fight for those who are wrongfully convicted. In 1993 he helped establish the Association in Defence of the Wrongly Convicted, a Toronto-based non-profit.

Toronto lawyer James Lockyer, a founding director of the association said Carter “dominated the room with a mixture of power and humour and decisiveness.”

Lockyer said Carter forged close bonds with the wrongfully accused he worked to free, a lengthy list that included Guy Paul Morin, David Milgaard and Steven Truscott.

“He brought such comfort to them and such inspiration to them to carry on the fight,” Lockyer said.

Whenever the association needed an advocate or a speaker, Carter was the natural choice, he said.

And now for a more truthful depiction of Rubin “Hurricane” Carter, his career, the events of 1966 at the Lafayette Bar and Grill in Paterson, New Jersey, the trial and aftermath … from ESPN Sports Century – Rubin Hurricane Carter.
