What a joke … Edwards says he will take a paternity test while his co-conspirator/ex-mistress Reille Hunter states there will be no paternity test. All Edwards and Reille have effectively done is leave the unanswered Edwards baby daddy question open for interpretation and speculation. The National Enquirer has yet to be wrong on this story, so why should they be wrong now?

Why would anyone go to a hotel to see someone and their baby who they supposedly stopped an affair with in 2006? This is not new math or a trick question.

How convenient for John “Love Lips” Edwards and the Democratic party as Edwards ex-mistress Rielle Hunter rules out a paternity test for her child. Why would anyone want to know who the actual father is of her 5 month old. Maybe its because she and John Edwards both know who the father is and do not want his identity ever known. Ya think? Because every child wants to grow up never knowing who their actual father is. What a complete cop out as she lets Edwards off the hook. This whole baby daddy drama and attempt to keep the fathers identity an mystery is nothing more than a completely fabricated conspiracy, nothing more. Is it possible that Edwards as promised Rielle Hunter hush money to make this embarrassment go away? Come on folks lets just use some common sense and filter it with the fact that John Edwards has done nothing but lie about this story from the beginning.

Family of Rielle Hunter Challenging John Edwards to take a DNA Paternity Test … Edwards, You are on the Clock

Former Democratic NC Senator, Vice Presidential and Presidential candidate John Edwards has finally admitted that he had an affair with Rielle Hunter in 2006. However, John “the Breck girl” Edwards has stated that he his not the father of Rielle Hunter’s baby, Frances Quinn Hunter. Interestingly enough, no father is reported listed on the birth certificate. Frances Quinn was born in February in Santa Barbara, CA.

John Edwards has claimed that he is not the baby daddy of 6 month old Frances Quinn Hunter and was willing to take a paternity test to prove it. Edwards, don’t ask for things as they might come true. However, Edwards’ comments have managed to infuriate Rielle Hunter’s younger sister Melissa. She is incensed that Edwards is painting her sister to be promiscuous. The family of Rielle Hunter is now forcing John Edwards hand and challenging him to take a DNA paternity test.

The family of John Edwards’ former mistress, Rielle Hunter, is challenging the former senator to take a DNA paternity test after his claim that he did not father Hunter’s 6-months-old child.

In the first reaction from Hunter’s family, her younger sister Melissa told ABC News that Edwards should immediately follow through on his pledge to take a paternity test.

“I would challenge him to do so,” the sister said.

“Somebody must stand up and defend my sister,” she said. “I wish that those involved would refrain from bad-mouthing my sister.”

Edwards thought that this story would go away following his contrived interview with ABC’s Nightline. The MSM, Democrats and Barack Obama also hoped that this story would vanish. Nothing could not be further from the truth. It appears that Reille Hunter’s sister has called the Breck girls bluff with regards to a paternity test. The Edwards story and events do not make sense and do not pass the smell test. The following statement by John Edwards during the Nightline interview makes no sense. None, what-so-ever. Edwards met in person with his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, to keep his affair secret. WTF! Who is he kidding? Why would anyone make them self in the public eye if they wanted to keep something a secret?

And it led to this most recent incident at the Beverly Hilton. I was at the Beverly Hilton. I was there for a very simple reason, because I was trying to keep this mistake that I had made from becoming public.

Also, Hot Air brings up some rather interesting premises that pretty much show that John Edwards is still lying and has not come completely clean. If Edwards is the father then the affair did not end when he claims and continued and actually continued after Edwards’ wife Elizabeth was seriously ill and diagnoses with cancer again.

Now, why would Hunter’s sister publicly challenge Edwards to take that paternity test?  It certainly isn’t to encourage him to clear his name, as the rest of the article makes Melissa’s hostility plain.  Melissa apparently has some knowledge of her niece’s paternity.  This strongly indicates that Edwards indeed fathered the child, and that Edwards is still lying.

It is obvious that this scandal is not going away any time soon because it is apparent that Edwards has not been fully honest about it. Hell, he has denied every aspect of the scandal … why not also being a baby daddy? So if Edwards has first denied being at the hotel, then denied the affair with Rielle Hunter and now that he fathered Rielle’s baby … why are we to believe John Edwards seeing that the affair is true? So if the National Enquirer has reported correctly all along about the John Edwards affair while the MSM has remained quite, then why are they not correctly reporting that Edwards is the father? Why is he holding the baby in the above pic?

John Edwards Admits affair with 44 year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he loved only his wife, Elizabeth and he is not a baby daddy. Sounds an awful lot like Bill Clinton when he said he smoked pot but he didn’t inhale. Looks like the Breck Girl lied when he was a Presidential candidate. So first Edwards was not at the Hollywood hotel, then he claimed there was no affair and now he claims that he is not a baby daddy. The Breck Girl hardly has any credibility.

In an interview for broadcast tonight on Nightline, Edwards told ABC News correspondent Bob Woodruff he did have an affair with 44-year old Rielle Hunter, but said that he loved only his wife, Elizabeth.

“Two years ago I made a very serious mistake,” Edwards said, blaming the prominence of being a vice presidential candidate. “All of which fed a self-focus, an egotism, a narcissism that leads you to believe that you can do whatever you want,” he said.

Edwards made a point of telling Woodruff that his wife’s cancer was in remission when he began the affair with Hunter. [Gee John, that makes it perfectly ok then]

John Edwards … YOU PIG!!! Take a good look what the Democrats almost had a heart beat away from the Presidency if John Kerry had ever won in 2004. John Edwards thinks that some how it lessens the fact that he had his affair when his wife Elizabeth Edwards’ cancer was in remission. Yeah, John that some how makes you less of a cheating liar that you had an affair didn’t have incurable cancer.

Edwards said the affair began during the campaign after she was hired. Hunter traveled with Edwards around the country and to Africa.

Edwards said he told his wife, Elizabeth, and others in his family about the affair in 2006.

“She was mad, she was angry, I think furious would be a good way to describe it,” Edwards said.

Edwards made a point of telling Woodruff that his wife’s cancer was in remission when he began the affair with Hunter. Elizabeth Edwards has since been diagnosed with an incurable form of the disease.

The Breck Girl should have spent more time combing his and trimming his hair than getting trim. Do you feel pretty now?

Oh shut up! I hardly think that your wife thinks that you are 99% honest. He started to believe he was special. Started to believe? So which America does a lying cheating dog live in?

In 2006, I made a serious error in judgment and conducted myself in a way that was disloyal to my family and to my core beliefs. I recognized my mistake and I told my wife that I had a liaison with another woman, and I asked for her forgiveness. Although I was honest in every painful detail with my family, I did not tell the public. When a supermarket tabloid told a version of the story, I used the fact that the story contained many falsities to deny it. But being 99% honest is no longer enough.

 The National Enquirer is claiming to have pictures of John Edwards and his love child Frances Quinn Hunter. The  main stream media claims they are being responsible in reporting this story. Or is it that they just want this embarrassing John Edwards story to go away and be the the story that you never see?

The problem with any type of story like this is that if there is not an emphatic denial and reason provided by John Edwards to explain away the pictures, the perception is that one is hiding something. There usually is a little truth in all stories, even if the story gets stretched a bit. The blurred tabloid pics cause pause. However, it is 100% confirmed that John Edwards was at the hotel. Now the question he must ask is why. Is the above pic real or faux, who knows. The fact that the MSM refuses to cover the story because they are claiming to be responsible is nonsense. If John Edwards was a Republican this story would have been covered much differently.

However, one would pose the question if the tabloid story is an unfounded lie … where is the John Edwards law suit??? He is a trial lawyer.

Think that the National Enquirer article is not having an effect on Edwards? With two weeks to go before the Democratic National Convention, the tabloid’s claims threaten Edwards’ role at the Democrats party convention. This little scandal just doesn’t seem to be going away. Now with the Convention just a short time away, the MSM may be forced into covering the John Edwards love child scandal and as Flopping Aces says, “forced to report the news”.

If Edwards fails to clear up the story in short order, he risks party officials deciding not to have him speak or, if they do, creating a distraction from a week focused on Barack Obama accepting the nomination.

“If there is not an explanation that’s satisfactory, acceptable and meets high moral standards, the answer is ‘no,’ he would not be a prime candidate to make a major address to the convention,” said Don Fowler, a former Democratic National Committee chair.

Dems call on Edwards to address affair rumors

Instead some Democrats say convention organizers will try to avoid the lingering questions if Edwards himself doesn’t talk.

“He absolutely does have to [resolve it]. If it’s not true, he has to issue a stronger denial,” said Gary Pearce, the Democratic strategist who ran Edwards’ 1998 Senate race. “It’s a very damaging thing. … The big media has tried to be responsible and handle this with kid gloves, but it’s clearly getting ready to bust out. If it’s not true, he’s got to stand up and say, ‘This is not true. That is not my child and I’m going to take legal action against the people who are spreading these lies.’ It’s not enough to say, ‘That’s tabloid trash.’ ”

Media Double Standard, Why are They Ignoring the Edwards “Love Child” Story?

The media double standard is at it again … they only do the news that they want us to read and hear. It isn’t the first time that a story was first covered on the internet and then the MSM was guilted into covering.

The John Edwards “Love Child” … “Baby Daddy” story has once again shown the hypocrisy and the double standard of the main stream media. One might ask themselves, where is the coverage? After all, we are talking about a man in John Edwards that was a VP candidate and had John Kerry won the 2004 election would have been a heart beat away from the highest office in the land. Although John Edwards has denied the allegations, since when has that stopped the MSM from digging? Edwards calls it tabloid trash, yet these days how does one tell the difference from the MSM?

As Slate reminds us, the media fell all over themselves when it came to the Senator Larry Craig story. The press was also all over the Bob Livingston’s affair and sexual indiscretions. They could get enough of the Clarence Thomas sexual harassment accusations by Anita Hill. What about the coverage of McCain and Vicki Iseman by the media? What do all these people have in common? They are either Republican or have conservative leaning ways.  However, when it comes to Democrats and John Edwards … the silence on the part of the media is deafening.

Yet, if the press craves consistency, it owes its readers some sort of assessment of Edwards. Is he, like Craig, a public hypocrite? Edwards is still very much a public figure. As Drudge notes today on his site, as recently as June the Associated Press reported that he was a vice presidential short-lister. If Edwards had no affair and fathered no love child, it should be easy to erase the hypocrisy charge, and the press owes him that, pronto. If we give Edwards the benefit of the doubt, which he deserves, visiting the woman who recently gave birth to the out-of-wedlock child of a married campaign aide is completely OK. But meeting her at a Beverly Hills hotel in the early hours of the morning and running from tabloid reporters when approached and hiding in a hotel bathroom for 15 minutes, as the Enquirer reports Edwards did, is not completely OK. Not if he wants to avoid the hypocrite label. (Slate)
