Family of Rielle Hunter Challenging John Edwards to take a DNA Paternity Test … Edwards, You are on the Clock

Former Democratic NC Senator, Vice Presidential and Presidential candidate John Edwards has finally admitted that he had an affair with Rielle Hunter in 2006. However, John “the Breck girl” Edwards has stated that he his not the father of Rielle Hunter’s baby, Frances Quinn Hunter. Interestingly enough, no father is reported listed on the birth certificate. Frances Quinn was born in February in Santa Barbara, CA.

John Edwards peddling from the truth as fast as he can

Transcript of John Edwards interview with ABC News’ Nightline, Bob Woodruff.

JOHN EDWARDS: In 2006 2 years ago, I made a very serious mistake. A mistake that I am responsible for and no one else. In 2006 I told Elizabeth about the mistake, asked her for her forgiveness, asked God for his forgiveness. And we have kept this within our family since that time. All of my family knows about this and just to be absolutely clear, none of them are responsible for it. I am responsible for it. I alone am responsible for it. And it led to this most recent incident at the Beverly Hilton. I was at the Beverly Hilton. I was there for a very simple reason, because I was trying to keep this mistake that I had made from becoming public. BOB WOODRUFF: Is this affair completely over? JOHN EDWARDS: Oh yes, it’s been over for a long time.

John Edwards has claimed that he is not the baby daddy of 6 month old Frances Quinn Hunter and was willing to take a paternity test to prove it. Edwards, don’t ask for things as they might come true. However, Edwards’ comments have managed to infuriate Rielle Hunter’s younger sister Melissa. She is incensed that Edwards is painting her sister to be promiscuous. The family of Rielle Hunter is now forcing John Edwards hand and challenging him to take a DNA paternity test.

Reille Hunter and John Edwards

The family of John Edwards’ former mistress, Rielle Hunter, is challenging the former senator to take a DNA paternity test after his claim that he did not father Hunter’s 6-months-old child.

In the first reaction from Hunter’s family, her younger sister Melissa told ABC News that Edwards should immediately follow through on his pledge to take a paternity test.

“I would challenge him to do so,” the sister said.

“Somebody must stand up and defend my sister,” she said. “I wish that those involved would refrain from bad-mouthing my sister.”

Edwards thought that this story would go away following his contrived interview with ABC’s Nightline. The MSM, Democrats and Barack Obama also hoped that this story would vanish. Nothing could not be further from the truth. It appears that Reille Hunter’s sister has called the Breck girls bluff with regards to a paternity test. The Edwards story and events do not make sense and do not pass the smell test. The following statement by John Edwards during the Nightline interview makes no sense. None, what-so-ever. Edwards met in person with his former mistress, Rielle Hunter, to keep his affair secret. WTF! Who is he kidding? Why would anyone make them self in the public eye if they wanted to keep something a secret?

And it led to this most recent incident at the Beverly Hilton. I was at the Beverly Hilton. I was there for a very simple reason, because I was trying to keep this mistake that I had made from becoming public.

Also, Hot Air brings up some rather interesting premises that pretty much show that John Edwards is still lying and has not come completely clean. If Edwards is the father then the affair did not end when he claims and continued and actually continued after Edwards’ wife Elizabeth was seriously ill and diagnoses with cancer again.

Now, why would Hunter’s sister publicly challenge Edwards to take that paternity test?  It certainly isn’t to encourage him to clear his name, as the rest of the article makes Melissa’s hostility plain.  Melissa apparently has some knowledge of her niece’s paternity.  This strongly indicates that Edwards indeed fathered the child, and that Edwards is still lying.

John Edwards_Love Child

It is obvious that this scandal is not going away any time soon because it is apparent that Edwards has not been fully honest about it. Hell, he has denied every aspect of the scandal … why not also being a baby daddy? So if Edwards has first denied being at the hotel, then denied the affair with Rielle Hunter and now that he fathered Rielle’s baby … why are we to believe John Edwards seeing that the affair is true? So if the National Enquirer has reported correctly all along about the John Edwards affair while the MSM has remained quite, then why are they not correctly reporting that Edwards is the father? Why is he holding the baby in the above pic?

Gawker: Mistress’ Little Sister Puts the Smack-Down on John Edwards

UPDATE I: Edwards furious with ABC News for pre-promoting the Friday night Nightline interview on ABC webpage. Edwards actually thought he was going to be able to dodge the rest of the media as he has dodges the truth.

Alright scaredmonkeys….here is your chance to raise some additional questions about Mr. Edwards and his affair being over a long time ago.

From the original “tryst meeting” National Enquirer article published several weeks ago:

Said Butterfield: “Edwards was not carrying anything. He walked in alone. He was wearing a blue dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up. He was looking around nervously before he entered the hotel.

OK, he was wearing a blue dress shirt, with the sleeves rolled up. In the Enquirer pictures from the most recent article, he ain’t wearing no blue dress shirt….but a blue UNDERSHIRT.

Me thinks Mr. Edwards enjoyed a sweaty roll in the hay with his mistress before throwing his dress shirt back on and heading downstairs to be confronted by the NE reporters.

Me thinks Mr. Edwards is still lying and dipping the dipstick into the wrong crankcase.

Just a couple of interesting points to sort of prove my point that Johnny boy was most likely (in honor of the current Olympic spirit!) pole vaulting at his mistresses room:

Here is a photo of Johnny boy and his typical wardrobe (dress shirt with cotton T underneath):

Here is a photo of Johnny boy with only his cotton T after a tough day of campaigning:

Why would John Edwards be sweating like a pig and stripped down to his T-shirt in Rielle’s room?

Enquiring minds want to know. I would think Elizabeth Edwards would like to know also as she believes this ended in 2006.

John Edwards is a trial lawyer. They are taught to lie and bend the truth to the utmost extent ‘within the law’. Ethics never gets in the way of trying to meet your end goal.

John Edwards continues to lie and now he is exposed. Edwards needs to come up with something better than what he has come up with so far…something like…like…he has a ‘wide stance’ or something similar!

    7. Alyssa on August 9th, 2008 8:58 pm

He’s probably just scared to admit the truth. But I mean it isn’t as if he couldn’t put it tactfully and poetically: There. Now was that so hard?

    8. Craig on August 9th, 2008 9:22 pm

Why dont you report about the Republicans who had affairs?(including Mccain who was seeing Cindy while married to another woman?)This is more Hypocrisy from Repugs………..

    9. Miss-Underestimated on August 9th, 2008 9:24 pm

In defense of Elizabeth, think about it a minute. She stated that she previously that her cancer may take her sooner that later. That being said, she has two very young children by John Edwards (aka cheating slimebag) What is she gonna do? Leave him and then worry about what happens to the kids? The sad part about this is that Edwards seems to have no remorse, only words of remorse. The man is a cheap imitation of a JFK wanna be

    10. Scared Monkeys on August 9th, 2008 9:54 pm

      #8. Craig

Because this is about the Two Americas piece of garbage Edwards affair and the fact that some how he thinks that to reference the fact that Elizabeth’s cancer was in remission makes his act lesser.

You have the MSM to jump all over Republican affair. Now go back to your Kool-Aide and find some hate you can embrace.

Edwards was caught with his hand in the cookie jar and is still lying. The media still refuses to cover the story.

The MSM has shown its true bias. They are incapable of being a media source anymore … they are Democratic propaganda … nothing more.

whether the pic of Edwards holding the baby is real or not, I’m not sure – but I don’t believe anyone is contending that this pic was taken at the same time he was at the Hilton visiting.

It appears he is in a hospital gown. Taken at a different time like when the baby was born? Photoshopped?

No one can argue that something is “weird” about his story of visiting his mistress that night. He either went to visit her and the baby or to deliver more hush money.

I ain’t buying that the campaign manager paid her out of his own pocket without edwards knowledge either.

John McCain is always eager to compare himself to Ronald Reagan but I doubt he wants to mention this:

The nature and timing of McCain’s divorce from Carol Shepp alienated key friends — and his version doesn’t always match that in court documents.

..The McCain-Reagan friendship was strained by McCain’s decision to divorce his first wife, Carol, who was particularly close to the Reagans, and within weeks marry Cindy Hensley, the young heiress to a lucrative Arizona beer distributorship.

McCain obtained an Arizona marriage license on March 6, 1980, while still legally married to his first wife.

…”Everybody was upset with him,” recalled Nancy Reynolds, a top aide to Ronald Reagan who introduced him to McCain.

…McCain’s swift divorce and remarriage brought a cold shoulder from the Reagans that lasted years.

      Miss U:

      I don’t know…

There is a thing called ‘unconditional love’ and ‘blanketed forgiveness’. Although, I would probably be hurt and leave him; everyone has their own choice.

Besides, when it comes to personal information, it’s no ones business. When they share their personal feelings, it’s confidential… Unless, you’re a politician.

That’s why I usually stay out of it, or try to.

      Kudos :)

      Thank you.

      I understand.

      Kat –

      1) the NE story showed the curtains that were in the background as their proof that the photo was taken in the hotel. Say what you want about the National Enquirer…but they have hit nothing but bullseyes on this story while the MSM slept.

      2) Look at my second link in my prior post. Is that a hospital gown? Looks to me like the same shirt Johnny was wearing in the NE photos.

    17. richard on August 10th, 2008 7:28 am

The point isn’t whether the politician having the affair is Republican or Democratic, or even that he’s a politician at all. People in all walks of life have been known to have affairs.

The issue is … Edwards some time ago specifically said that the story was false. Now he admits the liaison, but denies (last I knew) that he was the father of the kid.

Character does matter. This is someone who wanted to lead the country. I think he’s now the object of ridicule, and that is going to destroy his political aspirations.

    18. Brenda on August 10th, 2008 8:07 am

Oh SM! Why did you chose to place Mr. Edwards in a cartoon that makes him look so much more professional and manly than he is?? ;>)

    19. Brenda on August 10th, 2008 8:11 am

      Hi Richard,

I agree that character DOES matter, but sadly it only matters to those WITH character…or those who admire it in the first place.

Tells alot about those who disregard this affair as a “mistake”. To me, a mistake is putting too much milk in the pancake batter, not committing adultry and lying about it.

The Bible does say “there are none so blind as those who will not see.” Apparently, alot of people will not see this as anything but a little “oops”. So sad that sex is seen as nothing more than a favorite sport for all too many these days.

    20. Susy Q on August 10th, 2008 10:03 am

And to think I gave him the benefit of the doubt… What a creep ! ! ! ! ! I defended him right here…. he’s a total jerk…. He sure does not deserve a wife like Elizabeth…and with her in the fight of her life…his career is over; he could’nt give away free toilet paper in front of a johnny house !!!!!!

    21. on August 10th, 2008 11:09 am

MD: I see what you mean. Does look similar.

#12, 13: Just like John Edward’s “confession” – yeah I’m guilty but someone else did……

Now can you imagine being the innocent child who grows up to learn that his daddy denied him on national TV no less(and yes, if you read the Newsweek story the timing sure seems right for Edwards to be the “baby daddy” regardless of what he says. He remember, he’s not only a cheat but also a liar.

We would be condemning any politician regardless of party for this type of behavior. Unfortunately, liberals like to stay near and dear to their candidates and defend the indefensible.

    22. on August 10th, 2008 11:14 am

Oh yeah, Fox News might be all over the story right now, but remember this story had been going on for over a year and even Fox News was not reporting it then. The liberal newspapers are all over themselves, excusing why they weren’t writing the story before the “confession”. Suddenly they have scruples and don’t report salacious events until they can prove them. Tell that to McCain regarding the supposed but totally unproven story about his “affair” in 2000, tell that Richard Jewel and to all the others whose lives have been exposed on total speculation.

Why is Ms. Hunter refusing a paternity test? Two possibilities: 1) he’s not the father and she can’t keep blackmailing him or 2)there is no 2.
