Terror Free Gas Coming Soon to a Pump Near You in Omaha, NE

Well hopefully. However, Omaha, NE is about to open a gas station made from “terror free” Terror_free_oiloil. Granted there is no guarantee that 100% of the oil may not come from the Middle East; however, the point is well made that ever effort will be done to attempt to accomplish their goal. What do you think of the idea?

The gas station is associated with the Terror-Free Oil Initiative. The group’s objective is to encourage Americans to buy gasoline that originated from countries that do not export or finance terrorism. A representative said that Omaha’s will be the first of several terror-free oil gas stations to open across the country.

“The terror-free oil initiative is dedicated to encouraging Americans to buy gasoline that originated from countries that do not export or finance terrorism,” according to the group’s Web site. (News Net5)

Got to the page and take the survey: Would you buy your gasoline from a station that receives its inventory from countries that don’t sponsor terrorism?

New Passport Rules Begin on Tuesday … How Will This Affect Caribbean Tourism?

Prior to the new passport rules going into effect, the Caribbean has been doing a lot of US passportcomplaining, HERE, HERE and HERE that their tourism will be greatly affected. However, in the United States national security trumps tourism. Will this further impact Aruban tourism?

ATLANTA (AP) — Americans flying to Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean made sure to bring their passports Monday because of a new rule going into effect Tuesday that requires them to show one to get back into the country.

Only about a quarter of U.S. citizens hold valid passports, and most Americans are accustomed to traveling to neighboring countries with just a driver’s license or birth certificate, which have long been sufficient to get through airport customs on the trip home.

The new regulations requiring passports were adopted by Congress in 2004 to secure the borders against terrorists.

Fox News Poll: Are You Kidding Me … 49% of Democrats Unsure They Want USA to Win in Iraq?

Which is worse? Not wanting to win a war or not knowing if you want to win a war. Democrats wonder why people think they are weak on defense? Another thing, what is up with 33% of the people in general? You either do not want to win or don’t know yourself?

Maybe someone from this polled group can explain how losing in Iraq is in America’s national interest seeing that about 46% of people polled think a loss in Iraq would encourage terrorists to attack the US.

New ePassport Can Be Hacked In 5 Minutes

E-passportsWhile we know that international borders and travel need to be closely monitored, the use of technology in passports is truly lacking and will most likely cause more problems than it will solve. The initiative called ePassport is the use of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) to monitor the passports. While on paper it sounds like a great idea, in reality it is an older technology that has loopholes all throughout it. The signal can be read, copied, and duplicated onto a fake passport with the right tools (available on eBay) in about 5 minutes.

But as we know, governmental officials will force this plan forward no matter how poorly concieved because it is a plan. And terrorists and other “bad guys” will use it to harm others. As one technology expert said “It is almost like writing your pin number on the back of your cashpoint card.”

But this is also the bad thing about them because, as Lukas demonstrated to me, he can easily download the data from his passport using an RFID reader he got for 200 Euros on eBay.
Lukas is less forthcoming about where he got what is called the Golden Reader Tool, it is the software used by border police and it allows him to read the chip on his ePassport, including the photo.
Now for the clever bit. Thanks to a software he himself has developed, called RFdump, he downloads the passport’s data onto his computer and then onto a blank chip.
Using a standard off-the-shelf component you can just buy at a component store you can have a cloned ePassport in less than five minutes.  via the BBC NEWS

National Immigration Raids Show Identity Theft Rampant with Illegal Aliens

Illegal_immigration_raidWe all know that illegal immigration is a huge problem. Well, today Homeland Security raided workplaces around the country arresting 1,200 illegal aliens working mostly in the meat packing factories for Swift and Co. All well and good. Well, think again.

How did these people get a job if they are illegal aliens. Well folks, if you do not have a social security number, no work. But these people ALL were working at a company that HR at it.

If you say they stole, or shared, someones identity you are correct. So here we are stuck in this morass of political correctness concerning illegal immigration when we are facing a huge problem with stolen identities. And don’t you dare bring this up or the PC police will be down your throat in a heartbeat.

Part of the investigation came about when a border officers social security number showed up associated with an employee at the processing plant. Or the lady who got a notice demanding $5,400 dollars for not paying her payroll taxes from the IRS. Imagine getting nailed for back taxes because some illegal alien stole your identity?
