Illegally Blonde … Oscar Winning Actress Reese Witherspoon & Hubby James Toth Arrested, Charged with Disorderly Conduct and DUI, Respectively (Update: Witherspoon Apologizes)

It would appear that Oscar winning actress Reese Witherspoon’s husband James Toth could not “Walk the Line” during the early Friday morning a field sobriety test by police in Atlanta, GA.

Reese Witherspoon, 37, and her husband James Toth, 42, were arrested Friday morning after their car was pulled over by police for not staying in its lane. According to the police report, the driver of the vehicle, James Toth, had droopy eyelids, watery, bloodshot eyes, and his breath smelled strongly of alcohol. Before the field sobriety test began, Witherspoon got out of the car, but was told to get back in by police, which she did. However according to the report, as the test continued, “Mrs. Witherspoon began to hang out the window and mock the officer saying that she did not believe that I was a real police officer.  Just what you need to tell  Georgia State trooper. Brilliant Reese. The officer stated that Toth told him he only had one drink, but as first reported by Variety,  when given a Breathalyzer test, Toth’s blood alcohol level was .139. Oops, not even Elle Woods is going to get you out of that one.

Hey Reese, you might want to go back and take a look at the below video and remember what it was like before you hit it really big and be humble

As James Toth was being arrested for DUI, Witherspoon then got out of the car again after being told to return to the car. Witherspoon stated that she was a “US Citizen’ and that she was allowed to stand on American ground.” Yes you are Reese, and the police are also allowed to arrest you, which they did. Reese Witherspoon was charged with disorderly conduct. Toth was then placed under arrest and charged with driving under the influence and failure to maintain the lane.

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon was arrested on a disorderly conduct charge after a state trooper said she wouldn’t stay in the car while her husband was given a field sobriety test in Atlanta.

Witherspoon was released from jail after the Friday morning arrest and was in New York Sunday night for the premiere of her new film “Mud.” She posed for cameras on the red carpet but did not stop to talk to reporters.

The trooper noticed the car driven by her husband wasn’t staying in its lane early Friday morning, so a traffic stop was initiated. Her husband, James Toth, had droopy eyelids, watery, bloodshot eyes, and his breath smelled strongly of alcohol, according to the report.

It would appear that there were no lessons learned from Witherspoon’s role in ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ where the point of the movie was to remember your roots. According to the police report when the police began to arrest Witherspoon, she did her best John Kerry imitation of, don’t you know who I am and played the elitist Hollywood celebrity card. Just a note to Miss Witherspoon, that never works with Georgia state troopers. Just saying. How sad, it looks like some one has forgot their Southern up-bringing in Nashville, TN.

Do you know my name?” Witherspoon is quoted as asking the trooper. She also said: “You’re about to find out who I am” and “You’re about to be on national news.”

UPDATE I: Reese Witherspoon ‘Deeply Embarrassed’ About Disorderly Conduct Arrest- “But I do want to say, I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said.”

The apology came after Witherspoon and Toth’s mugshots in the incident leaked and news emerged of the couple’s arrest and brief jailing on Friday morning in Atlanta. Variety, which broke the story, reported that police spotted the couple’s silver Ford Fusion weaving in and out of lanes and pulled them over. As officers were speaking to Toth, an agitated Witherspoon reportedly stuck her head out of the window and said she did not believe the arresting officer was really a cop. After stating that she was a U.S. citizen and that she as allowed to “stand on American ground,” Witherspoon reportedly said to the officer, “Do you know my name?,” at which point he responded, “No, I don’t need to know your name.”

American Traitor “Hanoi” Jane Fonda Says to US Military Vets Boycotting Her Movie, “Get A Life”

HYPOCRIT MOMENT OF THE WEEK …

Jane Fonda continues to be one of the most loathed/hated/despised individuals of all times. “Hanoi” Jane Fonda tells US military veterans boycotting her movie, ‘The Butler’ to “GET A LIFE”. Larry Reyes, a Navy veteran and founder of the “Boycott Hanoi Jane Playing Nancy Reagan” Facebook has criticized the casting of Hanoi Jane Fonda as Nance Reagan. Gee, ya think? If there was anything ever that might be more boycottable that this American traitor be cast as the beloved former first lady Nancy Reagan, I am not sure what it is? Because nothing says Nancy Reagan as does Hanoi Jane.

When Jane Fonda was cast as former First Lady Nancy Reagan in Lee Daniels’ forthcoming film “The Butler,” some Reagan fans were not pleased. Now, with the biographical due to hit theaters in October, a movement to boycott the movie is gaining some momentum.

Larry Reyes, a Navy veteran and founder of the “Boycott Hanoi Jane Playing Nancy Reagan” Facebook page has been particularly vocal about the casting decision, given Fonda’s past frolicking with the enemy during the Vietnam War.

[...]

I made a commitment early on not to support her projects,” Reyes told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column. “Then when I heard she was going to play such a well-liked and highly respected president’s wife, it got to me. They (the filmmakers) knew by picking Jane for the part they were going to stir up some stuff. I’m not a conservative or a liberal, I’m an American. And that was a slap in the face.”

This week, Fonda had a simple message for Reyes and the page’s fans … “Get a life.”

So the uber-LEFTY Jane Fonda thinks that it is perfectly A-O-K for her to protest and boycott the Vietnam War, but it’s not ok to boycott her movie? Seems like typical liberal hypocrisy. One might want to tell Jane Fonda to “GET A LIFE”!

BREAKING NEWS: Venezuela President Hugo Chavez, Dead at Age 58 (Update: Sean Penn Says … “I Lost a Friend”), (Update: Carter Praises Positive Legacies)

BREAKING NEWS: Venezuela President Hugo Chavez, Dead at Age 58.

Hugo Chavez will not be down for breakfast. The socialist dictator of Venezuela has passed away from cancer. Make room Kim Jung Il, Hell has a new resident. After numerous claims that Chavez was recovering from cancer from his propaganda machine, Chavez succumbed to complication of cancer. His death leaves Venezuela bitterly divided.  But isn’t that exactly what a dictator does while in power, divides the people so that they are too busy fighting each other and blaming eash other, than focusing on the real problem, the man in power. Doesn’t that sound familiar, but I digress.  Chavez, a devoted enemy of the United States, was praised by his bud, former Democrat President of the United States Jimmy Carter.  How misguided could one possibly be and a glimpse into what Democrat presidents believe in and call help to the people. Other Democrats like Rep. Jose E. Serrano (D-NY) released a statement praising former Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez; however, neglecting the crackdowns of his political opponents. A glimpse into the Democrat party indeed.  According to accounts, elections will be held in 30 days, and Vice President Nicolas Maduro will assume the presidency in the interim.

UPDATE I: As reported by the AP:

We came to know a man who expressed a vision to bring profound changes to his country to benefit especially those people who had felt neglected and marginalized,” Carter said in a statement.

Carter noted that while he did not always agree with Chavez‘s methods, he “never doubted Hugo Chávez’s commitment to improving the lives of millions of his fellow countrymen,” and said that the former Venezuelan president “will be remembered for his bold assertion of autonomy and independence for Latin American governments and for his formidable communication skills and personal connection with supporters in his country and abroad to whom he gave hope and empowerment.”

President Hugo Chavez was a former paratroop commander and self-styled “subversive” who waged continual battle for his socialist ideals. He bedeviled the United States and outsmarted his rivals time and again, while using Venezuela’s vast oil wealth to his political advantage.

Chavez led one coup attempt, defeated another and was re-elected three times. Almost the only adversary it seemed he couldn’t beat was cancer. He died Tuesday in Caracas at age 58, two years after he was first diagnosed.

UPDATE II:  Hollywood whacko Sean Penn on Hugo Chavez’s Death: ‘I Lost a Friend’.

Hmm, didn’t insanoid, former NBA bad boy and attention whore Dennis Rodman call the socialist dictator of North Korea Kim Jung Un a friend as well? Oh yeah, another enemy of the United States.

“Today the people of the United States lost a friend it never knew it had. And poor people around the world lost a champion,” says Penn in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter. “I lost a friend I was blessed to have. My thoughts are with the family of President Chavez and the people of Venezuela.”

Penn, who has been a longtime supporter of Chavez, made a surprise appearance in Bolivia in December to attend a candlelight vigil for the health of the leader. Said Penn at the vigil: “He’s one of the most important forces we’ve had on this planet, and I’ll wish him nothing but that great strength he has shown over and over again. I do it in love, and I do it in gratitude.”

Take a good look how people are treated by pro-Chavez folks who are perceived being apart of the opposition. A news media crew is attacked under the assumption they were working for the opposition media to Chavez.

UPDATE III: More on the statements from former US President Jimmy Carter because this is really important for Americans to understand about a Democrat party that has so lost its way.  How is it possible that we have such prominent Democrats coddling a man who oppressed his people? These are the same people that slam Conservatives, Republicans and the Tea Party … but praise the good of a dictator. As the Gateway Pundit opines, Carter wants you to remember the positive things that Chavez did. Hmm, didn’t Hitler make the trains run on time?  Think about that America. Give that one a long good thought. Especially the next time you vote.

Statement From Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter on the Death of Hugo Chavez – Carter Center

Rosalynn and I extend our condolences to the family of Hugo Chávez Frías.  We met Hugo Chávez when he was campaigning for president in 1998 and The Carter Center was invited to observe elections for the first time in Venezuela.  We returned often, for the 2000 elections, and then to facilitate dialogue during the political conflict of 2002-2004.  We came to know a man who expressed a vision to bring profound changes to his country to benefit especially those people who had felt neglected and marginalized.  Although we have not agreed with all of the methods followed by his government, we have never doubted Hugo Chávez’s commitment to improving the lives of millions of his fellow countrymen.[...]

At the same time, we recognize the divisions created in the drive towards change in Venezuela and the need for national healing.  We hope that as Venezuelans mourn the passing of President Chávez and recall his positive legacies — especially the gains made for the poor and vulnerable — the political leaders will move the country forward by building a new consensus that ensures equal opportunities for all Venezuelans to participate in every aspect of national life.

UNREAL!!!

‘One Day at a Time’ TV Mom Bonnie Franklin dies at Age 69, Rest in Peace

‘One Day at a Time’ mom Anne Romano dies …

Bonnie Franklin, better known to many as Ann Romano, the divorced working mother with two teen daughters, in Norman Lear’s groundbreaking sitcom ‘One Day at a Time’ has passed away at the age of 69 from complications of pancreatic cancer. In September 2012 it was made public that Bonnie has been diagnosed with aggressive pancreatic cancer. Sadly, she lost that battle Friday night.  Bonnie Franklin played a divorced woman in her 30′s who was raising two teenagers and building a new life for herself in her hometown of Indianapolis. Probably at the time I never realized the sitcoms ground breaking role because I was too busy having a crush on Valerie Bertinelli, Barbara Cooper. However, the show tackled many of the day to day issues of a divorced mom that was happening all too often in the 70′s. On a personal note, I actually had the opportunity to meet Bonnie Franklin as I knew an individual in New Jersey that was close friends with her. She came across and an extremely nice person. Sadly, cancer has taken another life.

Rest in Peace

Bonnie Franklin, Valerie Bertinelli, Mackenzie Phillips and Pat Harrington Jr. of ‘One Day At a Time.’ CBS

Bonnie Franklin, the actress who created an indelible television character playing a divorced, working mother of two headstrong daughters on the long-running series “One Day at a Time,” died Friday at her Los Angeles home. She was 69.

The cause was complications from pancreatic cancer, her family announced.

By the mid-1970s, Franklin was a theater veteran who had earned a Tony nomination for her performance in the Broadway musical “Applause” when she was offered a different kind of role, one that was not then the usual fare on network television.

Developed by Norman Lear, the new CBS series would tell the story of Ann Romano, a divorced woman in her 30s who was raising two teenagers and building a new life for herself in her hometown of Indianapolis. Franklin’s character wasn’t the first divorced woman on network television; but the role, like those of other characters in Lear’s groundbreaking sitcoms, was infused with a new level of social realism.

One Day at a Time – ‘Pressure’ (1 of 3)

I was an avid fan of the show that ran from 1975 to 1984. What made the show great was not that it delved into social issues of the day like teen sex, divorce and birth control. The show and the ’One Day at a Time’s’ producer  Normal Lear never forgot one important fact, it was a comedy.

“One Day at a Time” ran from December 1975 to May 1984, and its ratings ranked in the top 20 in eight of those seasons and in the top 10 in four. Ms. Franklin was nominated for an Emmy Award and twice for a Golden Globe.

The show’s topicality fell squarely in the tradition of its developer, Norman Lear, who had gained renown for introducing political and social commentary to situation comedy with “All in the Family” and other shows. Its co-creator was Whitney Blake, a former sitcom star who, as a single mother, had reared the future actress Meredith Baxter.

Like Archie and Edith Bunker in “All in the Family,” Ann and her daughters, Julie and Barbara Cooper (Mackenzie Phillips and Valerie Bertinelli), used comedy in the service of grappling with serious and thorny real-world matters.

Franklin’s TV daughters Valerie Bertinelli and Mackenzie Phillips react to her death.

Bonnie Franklin is survived by her mother, Claire Franklin; stepchildren Jed Minoff and Julie Minoff; two grandchildren; her brothers, Dr. Bernard Franklin and Richard Franklin; and sisters, Victoria Kupetz and Judith Bush.

It is so very sad that cancer, especially pancreatic cancer, is so unforgiving. Unfortunately, pancreatic cancer spreads quickly and is often diagnosed too late, when it’s already begun spreading in the body. The following is a list of other actors and celebrities who have recently passed away from pancreatic cancer:

  • Patrick Swayze, star of “Ghost” and “Dirty Dancing” died after a battle with pancreatic cancer in September 2009, at the age of 57.
  • Steve Jobs, the founder and CEO of Apple battled the disease for an estimated seven years before succumbing to pancreatic cancer at the age of 56.
  • Donna Reed was first admitted to the hospital with bleeding ulcers, but screening tests revealed that she was suffering from a tumor in her pancreas. She died of the cancer within six weeks of diagnosis.
  • Ben Gazzara, a long-time dramatic actor, died in early 2012 from pancreatic cancer
  • Fred Gwynne, The actor probably best known as the patriarch on the 1960s television series “The Munsters,” Gwynne died from pancreatic cancer at age 66,
  • Michael Landon, famous for his roles in period Western dramas, like” “Bonanza” and “Little House on the Prairie,” but the actor was also well-known for his battle with pancreatic cancer.

Daytona 500 Grand Marshal James Franco Disses Danica Patrick At Start of Race … “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.”

Just another reason why actors should stick to the script …

Did you miss it yesterday at the start of the Daytona 500? James Franco, the Grand Marshall of the Daytona 500, decided to go off script, added his PC’ness to the starting instruction and botched the entire thing. Instead of saying the obvious, “Gentleman and Danica, start your engines” as obviously Danica Patrick was the only female driver in the race. However, Franco flubbed the line and in doing so dissed Danica when he said, “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.” So I guess Danica is not a driver? The sad part was I actually think that Franco was trying to give Danica a special shout out and botched the it completely. Say, who was that doing the start if the race, Joe Biden?

With all due respect to the haters of Danica Patrick, she is a driver. Last time I checked she won the pole, was the first woman to ever lead a lap in the Daytona 500 and is one of a hand full of drivers to lead a lap in the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500. Face it folks, Danica is finally doing the job on the track and getting the well deserved kudos after having received all of the media attention for her off the track exploits and Go Daddy racy commercials.

In fairness to James Franco, the traditional Daytona 500-opening phrase, “Gentlemen, start your engines,” doesn’t really work, what with Danica Patrick in the pole position and all.

It desperately needed a rewrite and, presumably, got one. So Franco probably meant to say, “Gentlemen and Danica” or “Drivers,” but, like hosting the Oscars, this is a tricky gig. And what came out was all wrong.

When will Hollywood actors ever learn to just stick to the script, they are hardly paid to ad lib.
