GAO Oversight Report: Obama Administration Broke the Law by Freeing 5 Taliban Terrorists in Exchange for Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl

The GAO, Government Accountability Office, issued a report that concluded that the Obama Administration broke federal law when it released five Taliban prisoners from GITMO in exchange for Bowe Bergdahl without notifying Congress in advance. According to the GAO, the Pentagon “violated” the 2014 Department of Defense Appropriations Act “when it transferred five senior Taliban prisoners to Qatar without providing at least 30 days notice to certain congressional committees. The GAO also found that the DOD violated the “Antideficiency Act,” which prevents unauthorized government expenditures. As Hot Air opines, many Democrats in Congress spent much of the summer dismissing Republicans’ claims as partisan and even callous, preferring to focus on the return of an American soldier held captive rather than the politically expedient removal of the “Taliban Five” from American custody. Now we know what many had suspected and alleged … The Obama Administration broke the law.

The Obama administration violated federal law when it released five senior Taliban leaders from prison without notifying Congress, as is legally mandated, according to an investigation by the Government Accountability Office (GAO).

The GAO concluded in a report issued Thursday that the Obama administration failed to provide proper notification of the Taliban release and illegally used taxpayer funds that were not appropriated to enable the inmate transfer, according to the report.

The Obama administration in May secretly struck a deal with the Taliban in Afghanistan to free from the Guantanamo Bay prison camp in Cuba five of its top leaders in exchange for the return of captured U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl, who was later accused by fellow soldiers of having deserted the Army prior to his capture.

The Pentagon was found to have “violated” the 2014 Department of Defense Appropriations Act “when it transferred five individuals detained at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, to the nation of Qatar without providing at least 30 days notice to certain congressional committees,” according to the report.

Barack Obama 5 for 1 swap was already on the wrong side with the American people and their belief that it was wrong to release 5 senior Taliban individuals in exchange for what many believe to be a military deserter, now we find Obama is on the wrong side of the law as well.

Dyer County, TN High School Student Kendra Turner Suspended For Saying ‘Bless You’ After Classmate Sneezed

To the IDIOT teacher that would be so offended by a student saying bless you … Bless your heart.

So much for the Bible belt … Kendra Turner, a  Dyer County High School senior was suspended for saying “bless you” after a fellow classmate sneezed. HUH? Mind you the high school student did not even say God bless you, just bless you. But for this she was told to go to the school administrator and then served the rest of the class period with in-school suspension. According to reports, bless you is on a list of words that this teacher does not allow in her class that include: stupid, dumb, boring, stuff, i don’t know, other peer expressions, bless you, hang out and my bad. I am guess they don’t teach the US Constitution at Dyer County high School and namely the First Amendment. In this day and age where we yearn for our youth to be responsible and kind to one another and battle school bullying, this is the crime that gets a student suspension? Really, why stop there … had she said God bless you would that have meant being expelled?

KUDOS to Kendra Turner for standing up for her rights.

Action News 5 – Memphis, Tennessee

A young girl, who claims she was standing up for her religious beliefs in the classroom, was suspended after breaking a class rule of saying “bless you” after a classmate sneezed.

When Dyer County High School senior Kendra Turner said bless you to her classmate, she says her teacher told her that was for church.

“She said that we’re not going to have godly speaking in her class and that’s when I said we have a Constitutional right,” said Turner.

Turner said when she defended her actions, she was told to see an administrator. She said she finished the class period in in-school suspension.

Students sent WMC a photo of the teacher’s white board that lists ‘bless you’ and other expressions that are banned as part of class rules.

Pretty amazing how this high school senior is a bigger individual than her teacher. I guess God will do that.  Kendra Turner said she doesn’t want trouble for her teacher but says she’ll stand up for her faith … “It’s alright to defend God and it’s our constitutional right because we have a freedom of religion and freedom of speech.”

Here is my note to the teacher that would some how think that bless you and stupid would ever be included in the same list. As I was hanging out I came across a teacher that was outraged that a student said bless you.  This educator might be the most stupid and closed minded individual ever that would some how be so dumb that words like boring and stuff would be used in the same sentence as bless you. I guess if I said this in class it would get me suspended or expelled, sorry, my bad!

NBC/WSJ Poll: Barack Obama Approval Rating Hits All-Time Low … Also, 71% Say Country Headed in Wrong Direction

AMERICANS ARE FINALLY FED UP WITH BARACK OBAMA’S DISASTROUS PRESIDENCY … HOW’S THE “HOPEY-CHANGEY” STUFF WORKING OUT FOR YA?

In the most recent NBC/WSJ poll, Barack Obama’s approval rating has hit an all-time low as only 40% approve while an overwhelming 54% disapprove.  It appears the American people have finally grown weary of Obama’s disastrous presidency and 6 years into “Hope and Change,” Barack Obama has no one else left to blame but himself. He has had his opportunity to make positive change, and has only made things worse. An amazing 71% say that the country is headed in the wrong direction, while only 21% say we are on the right track. This number can be easily explained when individuals looks at the domestic and foreign policy issues and see nothing positive. The recession continues as the real unemployment rate is closer to 18%, the US debt continues to spiral out of control, median incomes are down, the US-Mexican border crisis, scandals abound and the the Middle East on the brink, failures in Iraq and Afghanistan, rise of terrorism and Obama siding with, not our allies. Even liberal Democrats have come to the reality that he is nothing but a liar.

Other poor poll results for Barack Obama handling domestic and foreign policy issues:

• The economy: 53% disapprove – 42% approve
• Foreign policy: 60% disapprove – 36% approve

Six in 10 Americans are dissatisfied with the state of the U.S. economy, more than 70 percent believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, and nearly 80 percent are down on the country’s political system, according to the latest NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll.

The frustration carries over to the nation’s political leaders, with President Barack Obama’s overall approval rating hitting a new low at 40 percent, and a mere 14 percent of the public giving Congress a thumbs up.

“We’re in the summer of our discontent,” said Democratic pollster Peter Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican pollster Bill McInturff. “Americans are cranky, unhappy… It is with everything going on the world.”

What’s more, a combined 71 percent say the recession personally impacted them “a lot” or “just some,” and 64 percent say it’s still having an effect on them.

Then there are these numbers in the poll:

• 40 percent say someone in their household lost a job in the past five years;
• 27 percent say they have more than $5,000 in student-loan debt for either themselves or their children;
• 20 percent have more than $2,000 in credit card debt they are unable to pay off month to month;
• 17 percent say they have a parent or a child over 21 years old living with them for financial or health reasons.

Check out the average job approval polling at RCP, if not for that bias Republican Rasmussen poll, Obama’s average approval would be at 40%.

Because the IRS is a Non-Partisan Govt Agency … Emails Reveal Former IRS Official Lois Lerner’s Disdain for Conservative Calling Them “Crazies” & “A**holes”

But of course the IRS and Lois Lerner was not operating in concert with the Obama administration in an effort to support the president and attack his political enemies. Latest Lois Lerner emails reveal that she had complete and total contempt for conservatives calling them “crazies” and a$$holes”.

Lois G. Lerner, the former Internal Revenue Service official at the center of the tea party targeting scandal, expressed contempt for conservatives and called them “a—holes” in newly discovered emails, fueling a drive by House Republicans for a special counsel to investigate the tax agency.

The email was among a batch of evidence that House Ways and Means Committee Chairman Dave Camp, Michigan Republican, turned over Wednesday to the Justice Department in support of an investigation into criminal wrongdoing at the IRS.

In the Nov. 9, 2012, email exchange from Ms. Lerner’s official IRS email account, she demonstrates “deep animus towards conservatives, which she refers to as “–holes,” Mr. Camp said.

In other emails, Ms. Lerner appeared to refer to conservatives as “crazies.”

In one email highlighted by the committee, she wrote, apparently referring to conservative critics of the administration: “So we don’t need to worry about alien teRrorists (sic). It’s our own crazies that will take us down.”

In another passage, she replies to a friend bemoaning the negative critiques of President Obama and administration policy on talk radio shows. Ms. Lerner responds: “Great. Maybe we are through if there are that many a—holes.”

Protest Against Illegal Immigration in the Liberal State of Massachusetts … SEND THEM HOME!!!

If you think that protests against illegals being allowed into the United States is just a Red state, Republican issue, think again. Rallies across America are happening, including in states like Massachusetts. It would appear that people in the Bay State have awoke and are protesting. Interestingly enough, The Right Scoop has more video (see below) of a portion of the speech where radio host Jeff Kuhner welcomed Hispanics and legal immigrants, and the audience applauded. Much of the media, Barack Obama and Democrat politicians want to depict anyone who would protest illegals as racists. However, that is not the case, We the People, that includes men, women and children of all nationalities who are LEGAL American citizens are protesting.
