The uncle of a missing south Alabama teenager was sentenced Thursday to three years in prison for his role in an incestuous sex ring that abused children.

Baldwin County Circuit Judge Jody Bishop imposed a split sentence on Randall Scott Wood, 45, of Mobile during a brief hearing. He must serve three years of a 15-year term, followed by five years on probation.

Wood, who pleaded guilty to sodomy last year and faces similar allegations in Mobile County, was among 11 relatives and friends charged after the disappearance of his niece, 19-year-old Brittney Wood.

The teen was last seen with another uncle in 2012 and is presumed dead. Authorities say Brittney Wood was not the victim in the case involving Wood, a brother of the missing youth’s mother.

Authorities believe Brittney Wood was among the young victims of a group of people who sexually abused their own children and swapped them for sex for years.

Others also have been sent to prison, but authorities still do not know what happened to Wood. Numerous searches in coastal Alabama failed to reveal any clues.

3 YEARS, THAT’S IT? How can some one commit such unspeakable crimes over so many years and incest no less and get a slap on the wrist of a 3 year prison sentence?

Previously, 35 year old Wendy Holland was sentenced to 219 years in prison for sodomy, sexual abuse and the incestuous sex ring in molesting children.

Wendy Holland sentenced to 219 years in prison and it probably wasn’t even enough for her heinous crimes …

On Thursday, 35 year old Wendy Holland was sentenced to 219 years for her role in an incestuous sex ring accused of molesting children for years. Holland was previously convicted of incest, sodomy, sexual abuse, sexual torture, child endangerment and molestation. Prior to sentencing Judge Jody Bishop stated in the ”Fourteen years I’ve been on the bench, I have never seen a case come as close as bad as this one has been in terms of acts of sexual abuse.”  Wendy Holland is the aunt of Brittany Wood who went missing at age 19 in May of 2012 and is now presumed dead. Defendant, William Brownlee, 50, received the maximum sentence of 20 year s for his crimes. This POS was convicted of sodomy and sexual abuse in October 2014. Judge Bishop stated the maximum sentence was not long enough. Agreed!

Wendy Holland

Holland, one of the leaders of an incestuous sex ring, was sentenced Thursday by a Baldwin County judge to 219 years in prison.

Holland, 35, stood expressionless as Judge Jody Bishop sentenced Holland for sex crimes she committed to children. She was convicted by a jury on charges of sodomy, sexual torture, and sex abuse to a child under age 12.

“Fourteen years I’ve been on the bench, I have never seen a case come as close as bad as this one has been in terms of acts of sexual abuse,” Bishop said before sentencing. “The court can’t … understand why you did all of this action.”

Also sentenced Thursday was family friend, William “Billy” Brownlee, 50, to 20 years in prison. He also participated in deviant sexual acts to children inside the Wood homes in Stockton and Fairhope.

Brownlee and Holland also face pending charges in Mobile County.

Holland and Brownlee were among 11 people charged with sex crimes following the disappearance in 2012 of a suspected victim of the ring, 19-year-old Brittney Wood.

In a letter read in court, the underage female victim in both cases said years of abuse left her traumatized. She has a hard time trusting anyone, gets angry easily and rarely feels safe.

“I was a little girl being held down and raped,” wrote the victim, who was in court.

Authorities said the two were part of a group of relatives and friends who sexually abused children and swapped their own kids for sex for years.

Holland is the widow of the alleged leader of the group, Donnie Holland, who was Brittney Wood’s uncle. The teen went missing around the time Holland was found with a gunshot to the head; his death was later ruled a suicide.

Even without Brittney Wood to testify, two of her uncles and an older brother already pleaded guilty to sex charges before juries convicted Wendy Holland and Brownlee.

Arizona Cardinals running back Jonathan Dwyer has been arrested on assault charges, including aggravated assault and preventing someone from calling 911, it was revealed Wednesday evening.

Phoenix police said the charges stemmed from two separate incidents that are alleged to have occurred at his home in late July. A report was first made to the Phoenix Police Department on Sept. 11, and when detectives questioned Dwyer, he admitted to the incidents but denied any physical assaults, police said.

Neighbors heard a fight and called police, who showed up at the residence. Police Sgt. Trent Crump said Dwyer hid in the bathroom until police left. The next day, Crump said Dwyer snatched the woman’s cellphone and threw it from the second floor of their home to prevent her from calling police about another dispute.

The woman came forward last week, providing police with information about her injuries and text messages that indicated Dwyer “was going to harm himself because of what had been going on,” police said.

Arizona Cardinals’ Jonathan Dwyer arrested for domestic violence charges.

On July 21, Phoenix police were called to the home and were met at the door by the victim who denied there was anyone else in the home. She indicated she was in an argument on the phone. The officers left. Police later learned Dwyer was hiding in a bathroom at the home, Crump said.

On July 22, the victim tried calling 911 during a second incident, but Dwyer allegedly grabbed the cell phone and threw it from the second floor of their home to keep her from calling police, according to Crump. He also said after the alleged physical altercation, Dwyer threw a shoe toward the child.

In the wake of the alleged attacks, the victim, whose name hasn’t been released, left the state with their child, Crump said.

The victim, still living out of state, contacted Phoenix police on Sept. 11 with details about the injuries suffered during the alleged attacks. She alleged Dwyer has sent her a photo of a knife and also described threatening text messages she had received from Dwyer.

Arizona Cardinals released the statement after deactivating Dwyer on Wednesday:

“We became aware of these allegations this afternoon when notified by Phoenix police and are cooperating fully. Given the serious nature of the allegations we have taken the immediate step to deactivate Jonathan from all team activities. We will continue to closely monitor this as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available.”

Parents Turn Their 13 Year Old Daughter into Sheriff’s Office after Finding Nude Pics on Cell Phone & Tablet in Dindiddie County, VA

TOUGH LOVE … WHEN WILL TEENS GET A CLUE ABOUT SEXTING?

Dindiddie County, VA  parents  have turned their 13 year old daughter into Sheriff’s deputies after they found nude pictures on her cell phone and tablet. The teens parents were shocked to discover that their daughter was sending and receiving nude pics. Exactly what part about creating and disseminating child porn don’t these teens quite understand? Even though it is possible their daughter could face criminal charges, they did this in order to protect her. The mother, whose name remains anonymous to protect the identity of the 13 year old, said that she is particularly concerned about whether the people she shared photos with were adults. The soon to be 8th grader may not necessarily face charges and go through the court system, but instead go through a program called diversion in the juvenile justice system. However, any older teens involved could most certainly be facing felony charges depending on their ages.

The parents discovered their 13-year-old daughter, who is about to enter the eighth-grade, had been sending and receiving naked pictures of other teens using her tablet.

And the deeper they dug, the worse it got. In fact, things got so bad they called in the sheriff’s department to investigate.

“What scares me is, this is much bigger than we realize. How many others are doing this and you don’t realize it,” asked the Dinwiddie County mother of two.

FOX 4 sister station CBS 6 News is not revealing her name to protect her family’s identity.

The parents became aware of what their 13-year-old was doing, when their other child heard voices in her bedroom around 4 a.m.

The parents then confiscated the electronics.

“Looking through the phone and the tablet we did find sexual pictures, conversations that were very inappropriate for her age,” she said.

While none of the nude photo’s showed their daughter with anyone else, there were pictures being sent back and forth with other boys.

“Everybody wanted to be her friend, because according to these people, she was cool now,” she said.

The sheriff said Howells and Vaisey “were targeting opportunities” and did not necessarily grab the girls because they are Amish.

“There was a lot of thought process that went into this,” Wells said. “They were looking for opportunities to victimize.”

The St. Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement late Friday saying the arrests of Howells and Vaisey “no doubt saved young children from future abuse.”

Howells and Vaisey are being held without bail on first-degree kidnapping charges in the abduction and could face 25 years to life in prison if convicted. Wells added that “there was the definite potential” for additional victims, and the suspects could be hit with more charges.

UPDATE III: More Charges Expected Against child molesting scum bags Stephen Howells & Nicole Vaisey.

Computer hard drives and other potential evidence are still being collected Sunday from the home of Stephen Howells Jr. and Nicole Vaisey, said Mary Rain, district attorney for St. Lawrence County.

“I 100 percent expect more charges,” Rain told The Associated Press in a telephone interview. She said the new charges, which she would not detail, could come after she meets with police investigators Monday or at the hearing Thursday. It’s also possible prosecutors would have to wait for results from forensic tests.
