Neighbors heard a fight and called police, who showed up at the residence. Police Sgt. Trent Crump said Dwyer hid in the bathroom until police left. The next day, Crump said Dwyer snatched the woman’s cellphone and threw it from the second floor of their home to prevent her from calling police about another dispute.

The woman came forward last week, providing police with information about her injuries and text messages that indicated Dwyer “was going to harm himself because of what had been going on,” police said.

On July 21, Phoenix police were called to the home and were met at the door by the victim who denied there was anyone else in the home. She indicated she was in an argument on the phone. The officers left. Police later learned Dwyer was hiding in a bathroom at the home, Crump said.

On July 22, the victim tried calling 911 during a second incident, but Dwyer allegedly grabbed the cell phone and threw it from the second floor of their home to keep her from calling police, according to Crump. He also said after the alleged physical altercation, Dwyer threw a shoe toward the child.

In the wake of the alleged attacks, the victim, whose name hasn’t been released, left the state with their child, Crump said.

The victim, still living out of state, contacted Phoenix police on Sept. 11 with details about the injuries suffered during the alleged attacks. She alleged Dwyer has sent her a photo of a knife and also described threatening text messages she had received from Dwyer.

Arizona Cardinals released the statement after deactivating Dwyer on Wednesday:

“We became aware of these allegations this afternoon when notified by Phoenix police and are cooperating fully. Given the serious nature of the allegations we have taken the immediate step to deactivate Jonathan from all team activities. We will continue to closely monitor this as it develops and evaluate additional information as it becomes available.”

I wonder how long before Al Sharpton and Jr. Jackson start crying racism to the NFL. This is just the tip of the iceberg .

This culture of violence stems partially from upbringing, but also back into how these guys were treated in college.

It starts with the girls that are helping recruit the kids into the college when the kids tour the campus. Easy nookie as part of the recruiting programs. When they come to campus, they walk through campus as if everyone should bow down to them (strangely, this culture is not only at Division I schools, but also at Division III).

They begin to think they own the world in college. Where they actually want to study, they are provided tutors. If they don’t want to study…they are guided to classes that will let them skate by.

One only needs to look at some Big 10 programs to see what monsters it creates:

In Minnesota – a man almost murdered by the Gopher QB who had just transferred to Rutgers.
      http://minnesota.cbslocal.com/2014/05/12/family-linebacker-hurt-in-assault-is-determined/

Three players jailed for raping a girl.

In Michigan – School covers up a rape by a kicker. All American (and first round draft pick) threatens he will personally rape the girl again if she doesn’t drop charges….crickets out of Ann Arbor.

Wisconsin’s blue chip recruit for 2014-15 charged with rape on his recruiting visit to the campus!

Ohio State – Three player’s accused of rape in 2013…quietly has gone away ($$$).

Iowa – Player has sex with 13 year old….still gets to play though!

You could take any conference football – or basketball – and develop a similar list. These are the breeding grounds for the Ray Rice’s and Jonathon Dwyers. Colleges that look the other way…$$$ from alums to provide recruiting “perks” or pay off victims. How come you never hear much about hockey and baseball players in the police blotters?

While some of the problem can be traced back to childhood for these players…the dangerous cocktail served up at college makes them feel invincible and expands their lack of morals or integrity…and ultimately stupidity.
