Natalee Holloway July 5, 2005: Beth Holloway Gives Press Conference After Kalpoe Brothers Released from Jail, Calls Kalpoe’s Criminals … As Joran Van der Sloot Sits in a Peru Prison

A Tale of Two Murders, Two Investigations and Two Prosecutions. Never could two cases with the same suspect(s) be handled so differently.

As the murder case continues against Joran Van der Sloot in the death of 21 year old Stephany Flores in Peru, we cannot help but think back and make comparisons to what was going on in Aruba five years earlier. What a drastic change of events and how the Aruban and Peruvian law enforcement. prosecutors and judges handled the two cases. After all, both Natalee Holloway and Stephany Flores were murdered on the same day, five years apart and the common denominator was Joran Van der Sloot.

Flashback, July 5, 2005, Beth Holloway gives the now famous press conference  (audio can be heard HERE) following the release of Deepak and Satish Kalpoe the day before.

Beth Twitty just gave an emotional statement that to paraphrase said: She is very disappointed with the Aruban Justice System. She thinks that the Kalpoe brothers are criminals and that it is an injustice to have the boys who are free to walk amongst the citizens of Aruba. Also, Beth made the request that the Kalpoe brothers not be allowed to leave the country. Here is the transcript. It is now that I ask the world to help me. Two suspects were released yesterday who were involved in a violent crime against my daughter. These criminals are not only allowed to walk freely among the tourists and citizens of Aruba, but there are no limits where they may choose to travel. I am asking all mothers and fathers in all nations to hear my plea.

Beth Holloway went on to say the following:

I implore you … Do not allow these two suspects, the Kalpoe brothers, to enter your country until this case is solved. Do not allow these criminals to walk among your citizens.  Help me by not allowing these two to get away with this crime. “I am asking this in the name of my beautiful, intelligent, outstanding daughter who I haven’t seen in 36 days and for whom I will continue to search until I find her”.

We flash-forward five years to witness how the Peruvian people reacted when Joran Van der Sloot was arrested and brought before the Peruvian judge to face the music.

Fox News now reporting: Sources: 4th Person Arrested in Aruba Mystery

Authorities in Aruba arrested a fourth man in connection with the disappearance of missing Alabama honors student Natalee Holloway, sources told FOX News.

The new person detained is a 26-year-old friend of Joran van der Sloot — who was with Holloway the night she disappeared, sources said. Van der Sloot, 17, has been detained but not charged.

Of course we know now that Steve Croes provided police with a false alibi for Joran, Deepak and Satish after the ALE already knew the three primary suspects never dropped Natalee Holloway off at the Holiday Inn.

The question remains as to why Steve Croes would have ever knowing lied to the police to confirm the three suspects phony alibi. What does Steve Croes know and why would anyone place themselves at such risk? What was his reward of doing such an act?

Joran Van der Sloot Ignored The Reporter’s Questions? REALLY?

As earlier posted, “Joran Van der Sloot and his father arrived at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, ignored questions from reporters, and quickly departed,“according to CNN. Not only were there photos of what appears to be reporters asking Joran questions and he appearing to answer them, but we now have the following video of Joran answering reporter’s questions via Joran Van Der Sloot.blogsot.

CNN seems to have got the story about as correct as Fox News has got the title of their story correct; Ex-Aruba Suspect Arrives in Netherlands. Newsflash to Fox News, Joran Van der Sloot is still a suspect in the disappearance and sexual assault of Natalee Holloway. Joran is NOT AN EX- Suspect. HE IS A SUSPECT, thus the reasons why there were conditions upon his release.

Three suspects in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway were released from jail in Aruba on Saturday. A judge ruled that they could go free, but they still have to stay in Dutch territory, and be available to police.

The following are more photos of Joran Van der Sloot ignoring the reporters.

Joran Van der Sloot Arrives in Holland

Taking advantage of the conditions of the Aruban Court’s rulings last Thursday that upon his release from prison that Joran could go anywhere within the Dutch Territories; Joran Van der Sloot wasted no time and is now in The Netherlands.

He has come back to the Netherlands for further education. He had wanted to take up study in the US but under the terms of his release from custody he may only travel within the Kingdom of the Netherlands (the Netherlands, Aruba and the Dutch Antilles).

As reported by CNN:

Joran van der Sloot and his father arrived at Amsterdam’s Schiphol Airport, ignored questions from reporters, and quickly departed. The 18-year-old was to attend college in Holland, his mother said.

It would appear that Joran will begin his future and college in the Netherlands after spending time in prison as a suspect in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. Joran Van der Sloot Joran Holl 3an the two other suspects were released but with the condition “they remain available to police”. To many the distance between The Netherlands and Aruba hardly seems or gives the appearance of making one available to authorities when one is still a suspect in two alleged crimes.

Van der Sloot, a resident of Aruba, and two Surinamese brothers who were suspects in the disappearance of American teenager Natalee Holloway were released on condition they remain available to police.

This is compared to the stark contrast of Beth Holloway Twitty’s experience in leaving Aruba after having “exhausted” all her avenues.”

Natural Coral Bridge Collapses in Aruba

Natural Coral Bridge Collapses in Aruba

ORANJESTAD, Aruba – A natural coral bridge that spanned a cove along Aruba’s west coast collapsed before dawn Friday, destroying one of the island’s biggest tourist attractions.

The bridge, the largest of its kind in the Caribbean, was 25 feet high and 100 feet long, said Tourism Minister Edison Briesen. The cause was not immediately known, he said.

“It’s a very sad day for Aruba and for its tourism,” Briesen said. “A picture of the bridge appears in almost every promotional flier, and more tourists visit it than any other attraction.”

He stood among hundreds of Arubans who traveled along a bumpy dirt road to see what remained of the national treasure.

“The people who saw it always marveled,” said Julie Lacle, a 26-year-old taxi driver who often took tourists to the bridge. “They couldn’t believe how beautiful it was.”

The bridge, a formation of coral limestone cut out from thousands of years of pounding waves and strong winds, was a popular picnic spot. Hundreds of visitors walked across it each year.

First Joran being released, now the Coral Bridge collapsing. It is a sad day for Aruban Tourism.
