Paul Ryan’s Speech at Norfolk, VA Accepting to be Mitt Romney’s Vice President … Obama, a Record of Failure … Obama Has Refused to make diffuclt Decisions Because more Worried about their Next Election Than They are About the Next Generation!

“We can turn this thing around.  Real solutions can be delivered.  But, it will take leadership.  And the courage to tell you the truth.

“Mitt Romney is this kind of leader.  I’m excited for what lies ahead and I’m thrilled to be a part of America’s Comeback Team. And together, we will unite America and get this done.”

Paul Ryan, Romney’s pick as Vice President for the Republican Party in 2012 knocked his speech out of the park this morning. Paul Ryan, the young, intelligent and fiscal House rep from Wisconsin introduced himself to America today and hit a home run. While Obama runs negative ads because they cannot run on their failed record, Ryan presented a positive message to prevent America from going over the cliff. America is not just a country, it is an idea. Ryan went on to say, “But America is more than just a place … it’s an idea.  It’s the only country founded on an idea.  Our rights come from nature and God, not government.  We promise equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. This idea is founded on the principles of liberty, freedom, free enterprise, self-determination and government by consent of the governed. Amen!!!

“Our Rights Come from Nature and God, Not Government”
“We won’t duck the tough issues…we will lead!”
“We won’t blame others…we will take responsibility!”
“We won’t replace our founding principles…we will reapply them!”
“I’m proud to stand with a man who understands what it takes to foster job creation in our economy, someone who knows from experience, that if you have a small business—you did build that.”

Thank you Governor Romney, Ann.  I am deeply honored and excited to join you as your running mate.

Mitt Romney is a leader with the skills, the background and the character that our country needs at a crucial time in its history. Following four years of failed leadership, the hopes of our country, which have inspired the world, are growing dim; and they need someone to revive them. Governor Romney is the man for this moment; and he and I share one commitment: we will restore the dreams and greatness of this country.

I want you to meet my family.  My wife Janna, our daughter Liza, and our sons, Charlie and Sam.

I am surrounded by the people I love, and I have been asked by Governor Romney to serve the country I love.

Janesville, Wisconsin is where I was born and raised, and I never really left it. It’s our home now.

For the last 14 years, I have proudly represented Wisconsin in Congress.  There, I have focused on solving the problems that confront our country, and turning ideas into action; and action into solutions.

I am committed, in heart and mind, to putting that experience to work in a Romney Administration. This is a crucial moment in the life of our nation; and it is absolutely vital that we select the right man to lead America back to prosperity and greatness.

That man is standing next to me. His name is Mitt Romney. And he will be the next president of the United States

My dad died when I was young. He was a good and decent man. I still remember a couple of things he would say that have really stuck with me.  “Son you are either part of the problem or part of the solution.”

Regrettably, President Obama has become part of the problem,…and Mitt Romney is the solution.

The other thing my dad would say is that every generation of Americans leaves their children better off. That’s the American legacy.

Sadly, for the first time in our history, we are on a path which will undo that legacy. That is why we need new leadership to become part of the solution – new leadership to restore prosperity, economic growth, and jobs.

It is our duty to save the American Dream for our children, and theirs.

And I believe there is no person in America who is better prepared – because of his experience; because of the principles he holds; and because of his achievements and excellence in so many different arenas – to lead America at this point in its history.

Let me say a word about the man Mitt Romney will replace. No one disputes President Obama inherited a difficult situation.  And, in his first 2 years, with his party in complete control of Washington, he passed nearly every item on his agenda.  But that didn’t make things better.

In fact, we find ourselves in a nation facing debt, doubt and despair.

•This is the worst economic recovery in 70 years. Unemployment has been above 8 percent for more than three years, the longest run since the Great Depression. Families are hurting.

•We have the largest deficits and the biggest federal government since WWII.
•Nearly 1 out of 6 Americans are in poverty–the worst rate in a generation.  Moms and dads are struggling to make ends meet.

•Household incomes have dropped by more than $4,000 over the past four years.

Whatever the explanations, whatever the excuses, this is a record of failure.

I feel slightly lukewarm about this pick…

Rubio would have added more momenteum to the ticket,
but I will get behind a Romney-Ryan pairing because the central theme of the moment is the economy.

FINALLY, there WILL be a budget and it will be respected.

SM: I think Rubio would have been a good pick, but I am not disappointed with Ryan. Or I should say, this is a good pick as well. I would have been peeved if he had gone with Portman or Pawlenty. Ryan is an up and coming star in the GOP. much like Rubio. He is a brilliant, well spoken and great family man.

I can’t wait until the VP debate between Biden and Ryan, they may have to stop it on the 10 rune rule.

Rubio would not have been a good pick because the simple fact is that he does not meet the constitutional requirement for natural born citizen. Rubio was born four years before his parents became naturalized citizens.

We the people are going to follow the constitution or we may as well trash it.

After doing a bit more reading and research on Ryan, what stands out about him most is that Ryan has been warning for years of the fiscal costs of not addressing government over-spending, debt and entitlement programs.

This is a good, smart and stronger VP Choice than I had originally thought, and I was wrong to label Ryan as boring without really knowing much about his background or views.

I hope Millions of Americans don’t make the same mistake they did in 2008, and be fooled once again by Obama’s Mantra and all the negative, bogus Campaign Smear-Ads he currently has running.

Ryan says: “Our rights come from nature and God, not government.”

I wonder how these rights were working our before a government was instituted to ensure them? And ever since, we’ve needed the courts and laws (more government) to support that these rights are not ignored or taken away.

As the Constitution begins: “We the people . . .”. That’s what I believe in.

This is the people we need now. The current unqualified person and his crowd are about to pull a scorched earth tactic on us.

The $50 lesson for the people who are going to vote for Obama

Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what she wanted to be when she grows up. She said she wanted to be President some day. Both of her parents, liberal Democrats, were standing there, so I asked her, “If you were President what would be the first thing you would do?” She replied… “I’d give food and houses to all the homeless people.” Her parents beamed with pride! “Wow…what a worthy goal!” I said. “But you don’t have to wait until you’re President to do that!” I told her. “What do you mean?” she replied. So I told her, “You can come over to my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I’ll pay you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless guy hangs out and give him the $50 to use toward food and a new house.” She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight in the eye and asked, “Why doesn’t the homeless guy come over and do the work, and you can just pay him the $50?” I said, “Welcome to the Republican Party.” Her parents aren’t speaking to me anymore. Thanks to Alex for this nugget of wisdom.

#6 – That is too perfect (and contrived) to be a true story. After all, anyone reading it on Facebook doesn’t know for sure if its true or not.

      I’ll bet its apocryphal.

#7- While you may be correct, your response in #7 is just your opinion of it’s origin.

Perhaps the Authorship is doubtful, but did not appear that way from the manner in which it was posted. Really, I guess you do think I am just as dumb as a box of rocks that I wouldn’t know the difference? Oh, OK-RK—-Well, color me Stupid then.

      Happy now?

#8 – I only offered my opinion; no intent to discuss your’s or anyone else’s intelligence. You do seem a bit sensitive, however. Maybe you’re second guessing its veracity?

To correct you a little; I would say it was my considered opinion, based on my reading and analysis of the story content, it’s potential meaning to an audience, and the tidy manner in which the story is near perfection in plot. I didn’t want it to be true or false; having a neutral posture let me discover an apparent nature that might have eluded others.

After all, you didn’t really think a FB post would be true, because someone simply said so; did you?
