It’s Official, Rep. Paul Ryan (WI-R) Named Mitt Romney’s Vice President Candidate

IT’S OFFICIAL …

All the rumors and speculation are over … Paul Ryan named Mitt Romney’s VP pick!!!Fox News and many other news agencies had broke the news last night that Romney was going to select Ryan, the House Budget Committee chairman as his pick. What is being described as a bold pick by Romney, the choice of Paul Ryan will force the subject matter to the budget and the economy rather than the ridiculous and shameful attack ads.

Mitt Romney has selected House Budget Committee Chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis) as his running mate, and will unveil the ticket at an event in Norfolk, Va. Saturday morning, Republican sources confirmed to POLITICO.

The move is a bold choice for Romney and one that a number of conservatives had urged him to make in recent weeks, with some of the loudest calls coming from the pages of the Weekly Standard and the Wall Street Journal. At about 3 a.m., a new web site, Romneyryan.com, debuted, paid for by the Romney campaign.

The official announcement will be made at 9 pm et in Norfolk, VA in front of the USS Wisconsin. However, it has already been confirmed via Romney’s VP iPhone ap, Romney selects Ryan.

MITT ROMNEY & PAUL RYAN: AMERICA’S COMEBACK TEAM

Boston, MA – Mitt Romney today announced Wisconsin Representative Paul Ryan as his Vice Presidential running mate. Below is Congressman Ryan’s biography:

U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan is in his seventh term in Congress representing Wisconsin’s First Congressional District.  He is Chairman of the House Budget Committee, where he has worked tirelessly leading the effort to reign in federal spending and increase accountability to taxpayers. He also serves on the House Ways and Means Committee, where he has focused on simplifying the tax code and making health care more affordable and accessible.

In January 2010, Ryan gained attention nationwide after unveiling his “Roadmap for America’s Future,” a proposal to eliminate the federal deficit, reform the tax code, and preserve entitlements for future generations.

Representative Ryan was born in Janesville, Wisconsin on January 29, 1970. A fifth-generation Wisconsin native, Ryan was the youngest of four children born to Paul Ryan Sr., who worked as an attorney, and Betty, a stay-at-home mom.

In April 2000, Ryan proposed to Janna Little, a native Oklahoman, at one of his favorite fishing spots, Big St. Germain Lake in Wisconsin. Later that year, the two were married in Oklahoma City.

Will the choice of Paul Ryan change the debate of the Presidential election from the silliness and viciousness of the attack ads of Team Obama and his Super PAC’s accusing Romney of murder and the endless Bain ads? How will it be perceived by Americans when the GOP ticket wants to talk about the budget, jobs and the economy and how to fix it rather than the negativity of Team Obama? After all, we know after 3+ failed years under Obama and no budget that their plan has not worked. Obama has nothing to run on but going negative.

Romney starts a bus tour on Saturday through four politically divided states that he needs to win in November: Virginia, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio.

The choice of Ryan will bring the debate over how to reduce government spending and debt to the forefront of the race for the White House.

Conservative leaders, increasingly anxious over the state of Romney’s campaign, had urged him to pass over reliable – but not particularly inspiring – figures such as Ohio Senator Rob Portman and former Minnesota governor Tim Pawlenty, and instead go for Ryan.

The Wisconsin congressman is a favorite of the conservative Tea Party, an anti-tax, limited-government movement that helped Republicans take over the U.S. House of Representatives in 2010.

Remember when Paul Ryan dismantled Obamacare in front of  President Obama (see VIDEO below) and showed it for the fraudulent cost savings gimmick that it was. Ryan called Obamacare nothing more than smoke and mirrors and that it raised deficits, not lowering them. One thing is for certain, Ryan will not be in awe of the spot light, he is a bright, intelligent and sincere individual who is responsible and wants to fix Medicare, Social Security, the economy and America … not pandering for votes.

      Decent choice, kinda’ boring.

Here is my question, does Romney/Rubio have enough of a “like-ability” factor to win the votes need to beat Barack Obama?

Not according to about 20 Guests at a Dinner Party in Massachusetts last night. Figures. All agree that Obama has not done a very good job as President and don’t really want to vote for him again, but they don’t like the alternative either.

A few were just not going to vote at all since they have Obama Buyers Remorse but can’t say they think Romney is the Man for the job, simply because they don’t find him really “likeable”.

Because this took place in Massachusetts, of course, there are several of die hard Uber-Dems in the mix as well.

      20 Total Votes:

      7-Obama
      4-Romney
      7-Undecided
      2-Neither Candidate, will not Vote

Interesting. Think this election is going to be closer than even the experts are predicting.

It worries me. Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan need to really start hitting home with their message and hope that America is paying attention this time.

Go, Mitt! Expose Obama for the hypocritical, lying, Socialist that he is and you might have a chance!

BINGO!! However … I could be wrong but …I don’t think it is going to happen.

Until Obama’s Marxist/Socialist/Racist/pro-Islamic ideology which define his policies of the past almost four years are CLEARLY identified … until Obama’s past and current associates who were/are instrumental in shaping his far left worldview are exposed … many Democrats are being deceived by a President who embraces a left-wing philosophy that goes far beyond what most defined as a liberal agenda.

This morning Mitt Romney quoted a Chinese proverb to the Nation …. “It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness.” I disagree. I believe the deceptive dark needs to be define or many may never seek the light.

I can assume that neither Romney nor Ryan will be referencing Obama’s polices of the past almost four years as furthering a Socialist or Marxist agenda/ideology. It is a strategy that Sarah Palin calls a “one sided ceasefire call” when recalling the John McCain campaign.

In my world … if the truth is considered “demonizing the opponent” or “cursing the darkness” then so be it.

Democrats charge at Ryan, targeting his budget as expected
      Published August 11, 2012

Romney called his new running mate a man of “steadiness” and “integrity” when introducing him.

“He doesn’t demonize his opponents,” said Romney, who at a campaign stop Saturday afternoon in Ashland, Va., called for an end to campaign attacks ads.

And at a trio of packed rallies across Virginia, Romney praised his new partner as a servant of America’s working classes and a citizen of integrity, character and vision.

“He’s never been content to simply curse the darkness,” Romney said of Ryan. “He’d rather light candles.”
