In an effort to get media attention to spin their stories, promote tourism on Aruba; the three suspects in the Natalee Holloway disappearance and others on Aruba have shaved their heads, ala Britney Spears.
All were heard to say … it worked for Britney, it can work for us. Britney is a successful person and respected singer. We are honored to be just like her. Not comprehending that it was adverse publicity Britney Spears received and they fact she is now in rehab for the 3rd time, the Aruban contingent went forth with their plan for more media. If successful, the ATA and AHATA will be having a chrome dome shaving party this weekend.
Hell, they have attempted everything else to spin away the story of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, whats a few lost hair follicles.
Deepak and Satish Kalpoe have figured that they needed more media attention for their law suit against Dr. Phil. Deepak stated, Dr Phil is bald … now I am more bald … I have the upper hand.
Joran and his father Paulus figured it was about time that they get back in the limelight as the media has paid no attention to them lately. They always seem at the most inopportune time to come out with something as they just can’t stand not to be in the media’s eye.
Prime Minister Nelson Oduber predicts that the media attention that he will gain from a shaved head will benefit his both politically and Aruba financially. Oduber commented … I know this is a winning idea, it worked so well for Britney.

Good Humor…but, on a serious note….
WHY HASN’T THE NEW ATTORNEY GENERAL RETRACTED THE KARIN JANSSEN LETTER FROM THE JUSTICE DEPARTMENT STATING PAULUS IS NO LONGER A SUSPECT.
This letter was written to add a layer to the onion so that it would be more difficult to solve the case. It should be retracted for two reasons; 1) Karin Janssen was a friend of Paulus Van Der Sloots; and 2) it is clear from the recent ruling that Paulus’ timeline is very, very screwed up for the evening and that he was a participant in the murder and disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
With this RETRACTION, they then can reverse/VOID the decision made by the courts protecting and insulating Paulus by calling him no longer a suspect (a luxury not even afforded to the two black guys that Paulus and his kid tried to frame).
MONKEYS….THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT. ALL BOARDS/BLOGS SHOULD BE SCREAMING FOR A RETRACTION OF THE KARIN JANSSEN LETTER! JOSSY SHOULD WRITE AN ARTICLE ABOUT HOW THE ‘BLOGOSPHERE’ IS BUZZING ABOUT THIS RETRACTION NEEDS TO BE DONE IN LIGHT OF THE RECENT RULING AND EVIDENCE THAT WAS PRESENTED.

They have been caught with the cover-up. Karin Janssen’s hands were tied early on because she helped with the cover-up and providing the letter to Paulus.

However many suspects they may have, they appear indifferent to doing anything about any of them. When was the last time we heard anything from Aruba about the Natalee Holloway investigation? Or from the Netherlands, for that matter?

Yoyo, I can draw a distinction between those airlines and hotel chains that had business ties with Aruba before Natalee disappeared and those, like JetBlue, which forged them only AFTER she vanished. Never until May 30, 2005 (at least, not as far as I know) was there a concerted public outcry against Aruba.
Just my feeling. Obviously, we want them all to step back from Aruba, but there is that fine distinction.
While I’m here … has anyone ever seen a photo of Anton Szandor La Vey, who founded the Church of Satan? He’s now dead. I’m not advocating his church or ideas, just pointing out that his resemblance to the image of bald Nelson Oduber is striking, at least in my eyes.

Dear Mr. Kirchhoff:
I recently learned that your company is sponsoring a drawing offering free trips to Aruba. I believe this offer is contrary to the interests of your clients, especially women, and is inappropriate at this time. I therefore request that you consider retracting the promotion.
Since Natalee Holloway disappeared in Aruba on May 30, 2005, Americans largely have heeded the call of her family to avoid the island. Nearly two years later, the case is still unsolved and Aruba shows no interest in finding answers. The Dutch government has assumed the leading role in the investigation, yet it also seems to be sitting on its hands.
Events since Natalee vanished provide strong reason to believe that elements of Aruba’s law enforcement and government are complicit in a cover-up to protect certain persons from prosecution in this case. American tourism comprises 80% of Aruba’s economy; it is the one tool that we have to persuade Aruba that we will not let this crime be forgotten.
Although your company is not a law-enforcement agency, it seems irresponsible if not cynical for you to encourage travel to Aruba, even at low prices, while that island is reeling from the impact of our collective boycott. It also seems simple justice to support an American family that for two years has contended with a hostile foreign government.
Last year, Curves International was running an offer similar to yours. When contacted on the matter, the Curves chief executive swiftly canceled the ad campaign, which he had not authorized, and agreed that Aruba was no fit destination for American women. I hope your company also will decide that without a solution in the Natalee Holloway case, we stand united against travel to Aruba. “No justice for Natalee? No tourists for Aruba.”

I don’t know if Karin was forced to write the letter.
It seems to me the letter was written prematurely and was not afforded to the two black guys who were actually innocent, but continued on as suspects because Karin wouldn’t write a letter for them.
My take is this. Karin was friends with PVS. Karin wrote the letter to assist him in utilizing the court system to insulate and protect him from his crimes.
Karin, in light of the complete destruction of Aruba’s tourism industry and most likely additional pressure from Holland, appears to have decided on her way out to begin the process of letting the cat out of the bag. She appealled the ridiculous $30,000 payment to Paulus (done to add an additional legal ‘layer to the onion’ and protect Paulus further) and expose that Paulus was intricately involved with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.
In essence, Karin may have had a change of heart in her final months due to knowing that she was a participant in destroying Aruba as a country. Or perhaps she knew that someone new was coming into the case and that as they reviewed her conduct in the cover-up she would come under heavy scrutiny (probably still will at the end of the day).
In the end….her letter needs to be RETRACTED by the Prosecutors office/New Attorney General. Our friend Rammstein, who seems to have disappeared, would come here and site that you can’t REVERSE/VOID the judgement calling Paulus no longer a suspect because of Karin’s letter.
They need to RETRACT the letter and then file to VOID the judgement. The problem in VOIDing the judgement is that it would have to site “CONFLICT OF INTEREST” of either Karin or Paulus’ judge buddy. In the legal world…you don’t eat your own….you protect each other because one day you will need a favor or need something covered-up. To site “CONFLICT OF INTEREST” in reversing the judgement is the equivalent of ‘eating your own’ and it is rare in courts here in the US as well as overseas.
Long story – short….they need to drag the PERPS ass back into this case or it will be conveniently tossed into the ‘cold case’ file on May 31st. md

Natalee’s Last Night and Paulus Van der Sloot
The following is a literal translation (from Diario paper) as it appears in the sentencing of the Superior Court for Paulus Van der Sloot. “With attention to the lying declarations that the son of Paulus, Joran Andreas Petrus van der Sloot (hereafter Joran) gave about his last contact on the 30th of May 2005 with the disappeared Natalee Holloway, the suspicion is not unreasonable that he made himself guilty of a conduct that can be qualified as murder, manslaughter, or kidnapping that resulted in death.
The possible involvement of Paulus with that could then be deducted from the file with the official reports of witnesses, amongst which two people suggested a contact existed between Paulus and Natalee Holloway the night of her disappearance, and a taped report (that was given by the Prosecutor in her final note 1 to the Court).
The taped information and his declaration that he picked up Joran and Natalee by the McDonalds Palm Beach and brought them to the Holiday Inn, are clearly understood by the Dept. of Justice, and could in the judgment of this Superior Court, be considered as an indication of the involvement of Paulus in the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.”
Yes, in the decision that the Court made, it was also mentioned that there were a couple of witnesses that saw Paulus in company of Joran and Natalee (in the jeep).

Yes, those witnesses told the ALE and Prosecutor’s Office that Paulus van der Sloot was seen picking up Joran (around 11:00 p.m.) and Natalee at McDonald’s and giving them a ride to Holiday Inn, a few hundred feet down the road.
The telephone information was in relation to a tap that was done on the family in which the ALE and prosecutor concluded that it might have been possible that PvdS had contacts with Natalee before she disappeared, maybe even twice… but that was when he was detained and could not substantiate that. They only had the statements.

You are right….it appears that Dutch Boy (aka AHATA employee) hasn’t figured out that his postings are futile.
It seems AHATA has a group come flying through here all at one time and then they run out of $$$, and it isn’t for several months until they have a new $1 million marketing campaign commencing that we see more postings here.
Give Aruba/AHATA credit. They fully now understand the power of blogs and that if they aren’t out trying to counter the crap…then they will only be in worse shape.
