Tonight Greta Van Susteren of Fox News “On the Record” will interview John Mark Karr.
File this one under the strange getting even stranger. Once again the man who supposedly admitted to killing JonBenet Ramsey only to be let go as DNA proved otherwise and was to be charged with possession of child pornography only to be let go for lack of evidence is back in the news. John Mark Karr and his attorney might have some interesting comments tonight. There seems to be a major difference of opinion with an interview Karr gave last week. Excerpts of Dr. Keith Ablow interview were seen on The Today Show last Friday. The full interview is to air Tuesday. Maybe.
A reliable source has said that John Mark Karr stated that an injunction is being filed against The NBC “Today Show” and “The Dr. Keith Ablow Show,” Telepictures and Cathy Chermol, Executive Producer of the show, to stop an airing of a an interview. Karr is claiming that he was given six drinks at 11 PM. at night.
Sources say that the filming was supposedly only suppose to be a test run through for a future interview. John Mark Karr is claiming that a piece of paper was signed while he was intoxicated. Karr stated to source that “after realizing what that had done to him, he demanded the paper back to only receive a false copy and not the original as represented.”

Please tell me that the media has not stooped this low in order to interview Karr. Talk-show host Keith Ablow defends his Karr interview and has denied that he had given John Mark Karr wine, but stated it was grape juice instead. Wine and grape juice … now that is a broad chasm.
Ablow denied a report in The New York Post that Karr was given alcohol before his interview. Karr asked for white wine and was given white grape juice instead, he said. He was ‘stone cold sober’ and answered questions with no words slurred, Ablow said.
While he personally found the idea of a Karr interview ‘vulgar’ and dismissed the idea it had educational value, New York psychiatrist Alvin Rosenfeld said he saw nothing ethically wrong with it. And he said that if he had his own talk show, he’d probably do the same thing given the pressure for ratings.
Ablow’s syndicated show has been on for a month and its ratings are roughly 25 percent lower than what was airing in its time slots a year earlier, said Bill Carroll, a syndication market expert for Katz Television. Those are the kind of numbers that put a show’s survival in doubt – unless it gets a jolt of attention, he said. (Los Angeles Chronicle)
Could someone please do a responsible interview with John Mark Karr and a public service for us all without just making the interview strictly for ratings? Please, we beg you. There are many things that can be discussed with John Mark Karr that would serve a purpose. Hopefully this interview tonight will be done in a responsible manner.

I won’t even give this person anymore air time. He’s already had way too much. Use it on someone who needs air time for a missing person.
Oh spare me! If he were under the influence of any substance, it was likely benzos that he abuses! If he truly were offered wine, does he not know how to say NO? He should be locked up if only for being an annoying, attention seeking ijit.

Question (same as many people above are asking): What is the purpose of putting this sick animal on TV?
Should there be a law that if such animals are to be given publicity, their victims should be given equal access?

The last time I was in front of one was a few weeks ago, at my relatives’ house. It’s campaign season, as we all know, and I was confounded by the number of political ads that said absolutely nothing except that whoever was being touted was the most wonderful human being, another Abe Lincoln and George Washington combined, whereas his opponent was the basest villain ever to walk the earth.
Then I realized that there are homes (not many, I hope) where the idiot box (never was a phrase more accurate) is on night and day. Parents, please, take your kids out for a walk, teach them something new, buy them books, or have them sit in the closet and watch the paint dry.
