Rasmussen Reports Poll: Donald Trump 41%, Hillary Clinton 39%
RASMUSSEN POLL HAS TRUMP AHEAD OF CLINTON …
The most recent Rasmussen Reports poll has Donald Trump ahead of Hillary Clinton 41% to 39%. This is a quite surprising poll seeing that most political pundits have states that Hillary Clinton will crush Trump in a general election and the GOP will lose the House and Senate in the process. However, in this poll 20% of those surveyed either prefer another candidate (15%) or are undecided (5%). It is pretty obvious that Trump and Clinton are the presumptive nominees of their parties. The presidential election will rely on the decision as to whose unfavorables will be tolerated the most and how many will hold their nose and vote for the lesser of two evils.
Last week, Rasmussen Reports gave voters the option of staying home on Election Day if Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are the big party nominees, and six percent (6%) said that’s what they intend to do for now. Clinton and Trump were tied with 38% support each; 16% said they would vote for some other candidate, and two percent (2%) were undecided.
But Trump edges slightly ahead if the stay-at-home option is removed. Trump also now does twice as well among Democrats as Clinton does among Republicans.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with 41% support to Clinton’s 39%. Fifteen percent (15%) prefer some other candidate, and five percent (5%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
This is the first time Trump has led the matchup since last October. Clinton held a 41% to 36% advantage in early March.
Trump now has the support of 73% of Republicans, while 77% of Democrats back Clinton. But Trump picks up 15% of Democrats, while just eight percent (8%) of GOP voters prefer Clinton, given this matchup. Republicans are twice as likely to prefer another candidate.
Among voters not affiliated with either major party, Trump leads 37% to 31%, but 23% like another candidate. Nine percent (9%) are undecided.
As stated at The Pirate’s Cove, “if Trump wins Indiana tonight, it is pretty much over for Ted Cruz. If that happens, here’s my message: you don’t have to like Trump, but politics often pits a bad choice against a worse choice. A President Trump would be much better than a President Hillary. The GOP still needs to retain the House (little chance of losing it) and the Senate (there’s a chance of losing it if Hillary wins). With a Republican (or, should that be “Republican”?) in the White House, the Party might be able to get some things done, such as repealing and replacing Obamacare. Wait any longer, and it will be impossible.”
Then again, the wild card in the race is whether Hillary Clinton will or won’t be indicted and the reaction by the electorate to that decision.

Ted Cruz Confronts Rude Donald Trump Supporter in Marion, Indiana (VIDEO)
WOW, SO THIS IS WHAT A TRUMP SUPPORTER THINKS AND ACTS LIKE …
Ever wonder just what appeals to a Trump supporter? All you need to do is take a look at the exchange below between Ted Cruz and a Trump supporter in Indiana. UNREAL. All the Trump supporter had was sound bytes and insults. Hmm, sound familiar? Because that is all Donald Trump has too. Take a good listen to the rude, obnoxious and ignorant behavior of this Trumpist as he is presented with facts about The Donald and he dismisses them all, even though they are facts and not lies. But because Trump calls everyone else liars, his supporters believe only Donald can be telling the truth.
But I must say, I am a bit surprised at Cruz for actually trying a debate a true believer. Legal Insurrection is spot on when they refer to this Trump supporter similar to what Republicans went through in 2008 with Barack Obama. Remember, fact don’t matter in this election; they never do when cults of personality take hold as happened in 2008 with Obama. Cruz is 100% correct, Trump is playing you all as the fool.
What gets me is that FOX News, the Donald Trump super PAC is playing this video continuously like its a badge of honor.
Why Cruz would bother debating Trump fans, especially Trump fans who are heckling him, I don’t know. It’s like Hillary trying to turn Obama supporters with a few words on the rope line in 2008. That’s not the way cults of personality work and Cruz knows it. Jamie Weinstein thinks Cruz was going for some sort of viral confrontation on the eve of the vote, knowing that the media would end up giving his case here against Trump lots of free coverage tonight when they re-run this incident on the news. That seems too clever by half. Arguing with a Trumper, especially one who’s spoiling to get in Cruz’s face, was as likely to produce some sort of trainwreck scene of Trump fans chanting “GO BACK TO CANADA” as it was a long disquisition against Trump. I don’t think there’s anything more complex behind this than Cruz’s supreme confidence that he can out-debate anyone, even some dude in shades smirking at him and howling about his “Goldman Sachs jacket.” This is a guy who talked his way into a Senate seat at age 41 and who outlasted 15 other Republican presidential candidates in the primaries this year. If Donald won’t debate him, why shouldn’t he go toe-to-toe with a Trump fan for a few minutes? I think he missed an opportunity, though, in not trying harder to bait the guy. Imagine how much more viral this clip would have been if he had said, “So, what do you think we should do with the Muslims?”
Don’t we make fun of Hillary Clinton supporters when we ask them what are her qualifications to be president, what has she accomplished and what do you like about her? The above Trump supporter struggled when asked the same question and could only come up with Trump is going to build a wall. A note to Republican, Conservative and Independent voters, this is the same type of voter you condemned in 2008 and 2012 who voted for Obama.

Bernie Sanders Says: ‘The Democrat Convention will be a Contested Contest’
SANDERS IS NOT TALKING ABOUT A GOP CONTESTED ELECTION CONVENTION, IT IS A DEMOCRAT ONE …
Self-proclaimed Socialist and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders stated on Sunday that the Democrats would have a “contested contest.” Sanders stated that it is virtually impossible for Hillary Clinton to get the Democrat nomination with out the aid of super delegates. She cannot do it on pledged delegates alone. It looks like Sanders and his peeps will not be dropping out before the convention, which means there may just be much strife among Democrat voters just like how the MSM constantly reports the Republicans have.
Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders on Sunday said there will be a “contested contest.”
In a news conference from Washington, D.C., on Sunday, the Vermont senator urged superdelegates from states where he has won the majority of the vote to reconsider their support.
“It is virtually impossible for Secretary Clinton to reach the majority of convention delegates by June 14 with pledged delegates alone,” he said.
“She will need superdelegates to take her over the top. The convention will be a contested contest,” he said.
Sanders said during the news conference he expects to do well in the upcoming primaries. Indiana votes Tuesday, where a new poll shows Sanders trailing Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton by 4 points.
Sanders goes after Hillary Clinton’s establishment fixing super delagates.
He said many of the super delegates committed themselves to his rival Hillary Clinton even before Sanders got into the race.
“While we have won 45 percent of the pledged delegates in real campaigns where the people have spoken … we have won only 7 percent of the superdelegates,” he said, contrasting the number of superdelegates he’s secured with how many Clinton has.
