The Myth of the Police Killing ‘Epidemic’ … Imagine That’s Its a MSM Fabricated Lie?

IMAGINE THAT, THE DEMOCRAT, LIBERAL MEDIA COMPLEX IS LYING TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC …

Check out the story from the NY Post that debunks the media reports that there is currently a police killing epidemic. In the end, the moral of this story is: Don’t point a gun at the cops and don’t run when they tell you stop, and you’re likely to survive.

Law enforcement

To hear the media tell it, America is in the grip of an unprecedented crime wave, an orgy of wanton murder in which heavily armed thugs randomly gun down innocent unarmed people, some of them teens, just for sport.

Except that these homicidal goons are wearing the blues and badges of American police departments.

It’s the narrative that’s given rise to the protest movement Black Lives Matter and to a growing public mistrust of the police in general. From Michael Brown in Ferguson, Mo., to the recent shooting of a middle-aged woman and a teen in Chicago, the body count seemingly keeps rising, exacerbating racial tensions and keeping the nation on edge. And each incident is breathlessly reported by a media determined to show that America remains deeply, irredeemably racist.

Problem is, it’s simply not true.

Last week, The Washington Post published a study of the police shootings that took place in 2015. Likely they intended the story to be shocking — as on Dec. 24, 965 people were killed by police! Instead, the report quells the notion that trigger-happy cops are out hunting for civilian victims, especially African-Americans. Among its key findings:

  • White cops shooting unarmed black men accounted for less than 4% of fatal police shootings.
  • In three-quarters of the incidents, cops were either under attack themselves or defending civilians. In other words, doing their jobs.
  • The majority of those killed were brandishing weapons, suicidal or mentally troubled or bolted when ordered to surrender.
  • Nearly a third of police shootings resulted from car chases that began with a minor traffic stop.

CNN to Host Barack Obama Town hall on Guns in America & Attack on Second Amendment

IT WAS INEVITABLE … OBAMA IS COMING AFTER YOUR GUNS.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State,
the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.” (Second Amendment)

Lame duck Barack Obama is looking to once again fundamentally transform America and directly attack the Second Amendment. CNN is to host a town hall meeting at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia where Obama will look to push gun control even though the Second Amendment of the  U.S. Constitution states that Americans have the right to bear arms. Sorry, but I don’t trust a word this man says. So he wants to get rid of the guns that protect Americans, really? So then why are the guns not taken away that protect politicians? If Americans allow this to stand, it is the death of liberty. Please do not let this man destroy this country any more than he already has.

President Barack Obama is mounting a final-year push to make gun control part of his legacy despite Republican opposition and is expected to announce unilateral action soon.

He will join CNN’s Anderson Cooper Thursday for an exclusive one-hour live town hall on gun control at George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia, in hopes of mounting a final pitch to the public.

It’s an issue he has had zero success on so far in his presidency, despite his repeated, emotional appeals for change. Congress has remained a roadblock even in the face of widespread public support for Obama’s past calls for universal background checks or bolstered mental health support, with near uniform opposition from Republicans and a split on the issue among Democrats.

Obama will sit down with Cooper at 8 p.m. ET for the event, titled “Guns in America.” The event’s timing coincides with the fifth anniversary, next Friday, of the shooting of former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, D-Arizona, in a rampage that left six dead and 13 others wounded.

On January 4, President Obama will meet with Attorney General Loretta Lynch to finalize the executive gun controls expected to be announced next week.

During his first weekly radio address of 2016 Obama said:

A few months ago, I directed my team at the White House to look into any new actions I can take to help reduce gun violence. And on Monday, I’ll meet with our Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, to discuss our options.

Because I get too many letters from parents, and teachers, and kids, to sit around and do nothing. I get letters from responsible gun owners who grieve with us every time these tragedies happen; who share my belief that the Second Amendment guarantees a right to bear arms; and who share my belief we can protect that right while keeping an irresponsible, dangerous few from inflicting harm on a massive scale.

UPDATE I: Donald Trump says I will veto Obama actions on guns.

Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump told supporters Saturday that he will veto President Obama’s actions on guns if elected to the White House.

“The Second Amendment, it’s so great to me,” Trump said at a campaign rally in Biloxi, Miss.

“We’re not changing the Second Amendment.”

Trump said to loud cheers that there is an “assault” on the Second Amendment as Obama considers executive action on gun control.

“I will veto that. I will unsign that so fast,” Trump said.

5 Year Old Jayliel Vega Batista Missing Since 12/31/15 (Wandered Away from New Year’s Eve Party) in Allentown, PA

5 year old Jayliel Vega Batista has been missing since December 31, 21015, when he wandered away from a New Year’s Eve party in Allentown, Pennsylvania. The search continues for the missing boy who has autism that is reported to have left his home without shoes or a coat at approximately 10:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police on Saturday recanvassed an eastern Pennsylvania neighborhood where a 5-year-old boy with autism wandered away from a New Year’s Eve party without shoes or a coat.

Allentown police Capt. Glen Dorney said 20 search-and-rescue dog teams were looking for Jayliel Vega Batista.

The boy was downstairs playing with a toy with some other children when he left the home at about 10:30 p.m. Thursday, said his 16-year-old sister, Tayritza Molina. The boy was visiting his great-aunt’s home for the holiday, and left barefoot and without any kind of outerwear, police said.

Police were going door to door in the boy’s neighborhood again on Saturday because efforts to track him into some nearby woods were unsuccessful. But they said a glut of volunteer searchers was complicating efforts to find the boy.

“We’re proud of them for stepping up in the force that they’ve done,” Dorney said, but there were so many volunteers in the woods and elsewhere, it was compromising the ability of the dogs and others to locate the boy.

Instead, police asked people who live in the area to thoroughly search their own property and parked cars periodically, in case the boy comes wandering in search of shelter. Police checked out a home at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday after someone thought they saw the boy’s face in an upstairs window but said the boy wasn’t there.

UPDATE I: Search for autistic boy continues as night turns frigid.

A bloodhound that Allentown police were using to find Jayliel Vega Batista tracked a scent Friday from the Keck Park neighborhood, across the Hamilton Street Bridge to Front and Chew streets, police Chief Keith Morris said.

Police couldn’t say for sure if the scent was that of Jayliel, who was last seen running on the 200 block of East Union Street about 11 p.m. Thursday. Several bloodhounds were pulled into the search Friday afternoon, Morris said.

A Philadelphia Police Department helicopter hovered over the East Side as darkness fell Friday and worry turned to fear.

UPDATE II: Coroner at scene where missing Allentown boy’s tablet may have been found.

The Lehigh County coroner has arrived at Canal Park in east Allentown, where an electronic tablet that 5-year-old Jayliel Vega Batista was carrying when he went missing Thursday night may have been found, according to eyewitnesses at the scene.

A red and white tablet was fished from the water at Canal Park shortly before 1 p.m. by Thurman Clark, 25, of Northampton.

Clark, who just joined the search, said he spotted something red or orange in the water and waded in to check it out.

“I really hope it’s not his, ” he said.

Police have not confirmed the finding or commented on it. But they did send divers to the canal after the tablet was found.
