To the happiness we experienced and the sorrow for those we those lost. We look to the future and the new year in 2016. May you all have a safe and blessed New Year!

Happy New Year 2016

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
And here’s a hand, my trusty friend
And gie’s a hand o’ thine
We’ll tak’ a cup o’ kindness yet
For auld lang syne.

Thanks, Red, Klaas, and all the present and past mods who have helped maintain this site and have given a voice to children and adults who are missing, abused, and exploited, and their families.

Red, you have done an amazing job of keeping this site alive and a place for everyone to come to find out the latest news on those who are missing or hurt. You give us something to think about with the articles you write on the front page and allow those who disagree with you or others to respond, as long as they are respectful. I could fill this page with the things you do to keep us going and to give a voice to those who do not have one at the moment.

Klaas, you are synonymous with Scared Monkeys. You pull so many rabbits out of your hat, I am not sure if you are a magician or the manager of a fertile pet store. There is no problem you cannot solve with the twitch of your wand, or the use of your brain cells or any of your unending list of talents. I don’t know how you do what you do and your skills are underrated. You could run a company all by yourself and with your other hand you can do any of the IT work required, and with your other hand, you can handle another full time job, and with your other hand you maintain your household and are there for your extended family, no matter how extended they are, are a pet momma, pet lover, advocate, and enthusiast, and with your other hand, you fix and answer questions and problems that have been driving people crazy, and with your other hand, you always recognize when there are people who have not been around for a while and somehow are able to find out where they are, what happened to them, who their family members are, and how many hairs they have on their head, and with your other hand….you get the picture. This is all done pro bono, for those who keep asking how much she gets paid for her services. The truth is, Klaas could never be paid enough, no matter what she was given, to equal her full worth, not even by a Rockefeller.

Dana, you are the voice of Scared Monkeys and have the most up to date and pertinent speakers on, not only the missing, but crime, in general. You speak to people on a regular basis that are in the know. You are not Nancy Grace, and thank God for that. Your show presents the truth, you are not looking for sensationalism, and you do not make up stories to have hordes of people coming to hear who you are beating up on this week. You always treat your guests with respect, don’t get me wrong, you ask the hard questions, but you do it in a way where people are likely to answer; you do not create a hostile environment where people are fighting you or your questions, they answer them. Your show is the most underrated show on crime on the air today. We not only get to listen to these personalities, we get to ask them questions on the air ourselves, and you encourage this. You are not here to hear yourself speak, but to help, and to bring the truth or at least something to think about to us every time you speak. Your voice is not hard on the ears, either. You could recite the alphabet and people would be lucky to hear you, instead you present valuable information and presenters to us, and sources where we can pursue any further questions in their area.

Right now there is a boy missing in Allentown who has autism. There are so many people who are willing to help and have been searching for him. One of the reasons so many people get involved now is because of places like Scared Monkeys. People hear about someone who is missing and try to find out how they can help, instead of just watching on the news while others come out and do all the work.

I feel Scared Monkeys has encouraged and praised involvement. When you come here and see that people just like you are searching for those who are missing, you know then that you can do it, too. When not near the searchers, we have learned here we can support the searchers by sending supplies, and we can support legitimate search groups with donations they so desperately need. There are those who are so faithful, they have run out of money because they just cannot say no to those in the midst of so much pain. In a lot of cases they have been there themselves and know the pain of not knowing what happened to their loved one or loved ones.

Red, you have not only talked the talk, you have walked the walk. You have searched for the missing yourself. You have donated your time, your money, your life, and most of all, your heart to the cause. You have asked yourself the question “If not me, then who?” You have also had us asking the same question to ourselves.

Happy New Year to all who post or even just read here. Thank you for all you do to find the missing and help the exploited. If not you, then who?
