The only thing that stops a bad person with a gun is an armed good person that is willing to do what is necessary to take the bad person down. LE cannot be everywhere and in some jurisdictions the response times can be as long as 30 minutes.
All the “feel good” laws and regulations promulgated by cities, towns, states and the Federal governments are worthless. The constitution makes it very clear that the Government does not have the authority to produce any law restricting the purchase and use of firearms.
The key thing is bad people with guns who are into criminal acts don’t care about laws. The will do what they want. The only thing that will stop them is the fear that they may be shot by a person defending themselves and others.
