Leidy Figueroa, Joran van der Sloot’s wife says her husband was “seriously injured” in a stabbing at the Challapalca prison in Puno Province, Peru where Van der Sloot is serving a 28 year sentence fro the murder of Stephany Flores. Leidy Figueroa, and his lawyer, Máximo Altez, told told RTL Boulevard Monday that “the little Sporter” was stabbed twice by fellow inmates, leaving “wounds that are definitely 2 inches deep.”According to her account, Joran was stabbed in the shoulder and waist.
Figueroa, told the Dutch-language TV program that her husband, a Dutch national, was stabbed in the shoulder and waist by fellow prisoners. She also said she visited him Sunday in prison and smuggled out a bloody polo shirt as evidence.
Figueroa, 25, also gave Britain’s Daily Mail photos of blood-soaked white sheets that she claims were used to cover Van der Sloot’s wounds.
“Joran was stabbed many times in the stomach by other inmates, he was almost killed, I am scared for his life,” Figueroa, 25, tells MailOnline. “He’s losing a lot of blood but isn’t receiving any medical attention. He’s been very poorly, I have been trying to get the guards to take him to hospital.”
However, prison officials is calling her account an outright lie. Jose Perez Guadalupe, director of Peru’s National Penitentiary Institute, which oversees the country’s prisons, stated that Figueroa’s assertions were untrue and further labeled her a “compulsive liar. Hmm, imagine that, I guess we now know what the common bond between Joran Van der Sloot and Leidy Figueroa is.

Leidy Figueroa, the Dutch convict’s wife, told RTL, a newsgroup in the Netherlands that is also a CNN affiliate, that van der Sloot was stabbed twice.
She further claimed that after visiting him Sunday at Challapalca prison in Puno Province, near the Bolivian border, where he is serving a 28-year sentence, she smuggled his bloody polo shirt out of the facility, RTL reported.
Van der Sloot was stabbed in the shoulder and in the waist, and both wounds were about 2 centimeters (three-quarters of an inch) deep, she told RTL.
Jose Perez Guadalupe, director of Peru’s National Penitentiary Institute, which oversees the country’s prisons, told a 24-hour television station that Figueroa’s assertions were untrue and further labeled her a “compulsive liar.”
He continued with an assault on her character, telling Peru’s Channel N, “For starters, no woman in her right mind goes to a maximum-security prison and marries the biggest killer there.”
One can just say this to Joran Van der Sloot when it comes to the damage that he has brought to the families of Natalee Holloway and Stephany Flores, KARMA IS A BITCH.
If this story that Joran Van der Sloot was stabbed is true, I just have two question, what took the inmates in this prison so long to stab him and can we buy those involved a beer, or at least a pack of smokes?

Too bad the inmates couldn’t of picked some other targets besides the shoulder and the waist.
I think of Beth often when I read or hear about the tragedy’s of so many children. I’m sure her dedicated work has helped many along the way. God bless her always.
Sorry they missed
Who cares if this monster was stabbed in prison? Why didn’t the inmates aim for the throat,scrotum, or maybe his fat forehead! I’ve read many websites saying his wounds were self inflicted. The way I look at it is, even if this did happen to him then it still does not compare what ms.Flores went through. Also we will never no the pain he inflicted on natalee holloway. And to the complete idiot that married this thing, hoe do you sleep at night! You also conceived a child with this killer. The child was a girl and all I have to say is her fathers mistakes are going to bite her in the ass her whole life. Why would you bring a child into this world knowing that child Will face it’s fathers mistakes and probably be ridiculed growing up because of it. He made one woman disappear and then murdered another 5 years to the date of the first crime. In the bible it says, “children will pay for their fathers sins,”
