Barack Obama Receives ‘Icy Reception’ from Cadets at West Point Visit … It was Not a Commander in Chief Speaking to his Troops

Maybe Barack Obama should have sat down and be made to listen to the graduating US Military cadets on foreign policy … Obama receives icy reception.

The cadets at West Point  gave Barack Obama an “icy reception” yesterday at their commencement ceremonies as he rambled on with a meandering,  nonsensical foreign policy speech that has drawn bi-partisan criticism.  Even the NY Times questioned his big moment on foreign policy speech. The Washington Times reports that less than 25% of the cadets gave him a standing ovation upon his introduction. OUCH. According to a recent poll, Obama’s approval rating among the military is at 32%, look for that to go down further. During his speech Obama said, “I believe in American exceptionalism with every fiber of my being.” The problem is that this is the same man who said, if you like your healthcare plan and doctor, you can keep them, PERIOD. No one believes Obama anymore because his actions do not follow his words.

President Obama was welcomed by the Black Knight of the Hudson for his speech at West Point on Wednesday, but less than 25 percent of the cadets gave him a standing ovation upon his introduction, the Daily Mail reported.

“Receiving tepid applause and a short standing ovation from less than one-quarter of the audience upon his introduction, Obama argued for a contradictory foreign policy that relies on NATO and the United Nations while insisting that ‘America must always lead on the world stage,’ the paper reported.

From The Washington Free Beacon:

CNN’s international correspondent Jim Clancy called the West Point response to President Obama’s meandering foreign policy address “pretty icy” Wednesday.

Clancy said it was “not really a great speech to give at the U.S. Military Academy,” and the address has drawn bipartisan criticism.

“It was a philosophical speech,” he said. “It was not a Commander-in-Chief speaking to his troops. And you heard the reception. I mean, it was pretty icy.”

UPDATE I: Just how bad was this Obama speech? From The Politico … Editorial boards at three major U.S. newspapers are criticizing President Barack Obama’s foreign policy speech at West Point as incomplete and failing to recognize America’s international standing.

  1. New York Times: President Obama Misses a Chance on Foreign Affairs
  2. Wall Street Journal: The President skipped a few world events in his big foreign policy speech
  3. Washington Post: At West Point, President Obama binds America’s hands on foreign affairs

50 Cents First Pitch at New York Mets MLB Game at Citi Field Not Worth a Penny

WOW, looks like rapper 50 Cent chose the right profession ... As Bob Eucker would say, “Just a bit outside”.

Check out the video below and watch what may be just the worst first pitch at a Major League Baseball game in history. DAMN!!! Talk about losing major street cred. Although I think he did it to make Barack Obama’s past lame first pitches look good. The NY Post quips, the Queens-born rapper, who threw out the first pitch before the Mets took on the Pirates at Citi Field on Tuesday night, would fit right into the Mets’ struggling bullpen. OUCH! In fact many Met fans probably thought it was one of their teams own pitchers warming up.

“It’s good he never had a choice between playing for the Mets or being a rapper.”

Just curious, do these celebs ever practice before they throw out a first pitch and make a fool of themselves?

Megyn Kelly Roasts MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough as He Shills His Book, ‘The Right Path’ … “You Can Join His Four Viewers” Tomorrow Morning on The Morning Joe

HA, HA, HA … Megyn Kelly just scorched former US Rep. Joe Scarborough and co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe … oh she is subtle and good!

Last night Joe Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’ went into the lions den to promote his new book, ‘The Right Path’. Or so he thought. As Megyn Kelly had a good time at Scarborough’s expense as he attempted to plug his new book, that is when she hit him with the knock out punch as she ended the interview … You want to see more of Joe, you can join his four viewers and see it tomorrow morning. Ok so she was embellishing a bit, The Morning Joe has 9 viewers. Of course this was harmless banter, not the personal attacks one gets when going on MSNBC.

As Scarborough tried to steer the conversation back towards politics, Kelly couldn’t resist continuing the roast. Even when she plugged his book, she made sure to note how Fox News has “so many viewers,” insinuating he came to the right place to promote it.

Then she went after his show’s ratings.

“Thanks for being here,” Kelly began. “You want to see more of Joe, you can join his four viewers and see it tomorrow morning… No, just kidding.”

An MSNBC host appeared on Fox News tonight. No, you’re not reading this from a parallel universe where dogs walk humans, that actually happened. Joe Scarborough appeared on Megyn Kelly‘s show to plug his new book, and the interview quickly turned into a roast where Kelly got in a few barbs at Scarborough’s expense.

Scarborough complimented Kelly on his set, at which point she shot back, “There’s still a blond woman on the set interrupting you at every turn.” And, referencing one of Scarborough’s worst moments, she warned, “If you snap your fingers at me, you’d have eight fingers instead of ten.”
