Bias, What Media Bias? Just 7% of Mainstream Reporters Are Republican

Some headlines just speak for themselves …

From The WAPO comes the following, ‘Just 7 percent of journalists are Republicans. That’s far fewer than even a decade ago’. Subtitled, What MSM Bias?  , according to a new study by Indiana University, the percentage of journalists identifying themselves as Republicans has decreased dramatically over the years.  The survey found that just 7.1% consider themselves Republicans as compared with 18% in 2002. The percentage was even much higher numbers in earlier decades. The BS of the MSM is that they like to call themselves Independent to give the sense of “fair and balanced;” however, they consistently go to the LEFT. Of the 7%, how many do you think are actually Conservative?

Consider this when you filter what the Democrat-MSM Complex is reporting a story.

A majority of American journalists identify themselves as political independents although among those who choose a side Democrats outnumber Republicans four to one, according to a new study of the media conducted by two Indiana University professors.

Write Lars Wilnat and David Weaver, professors of journalism at Indiana, of their findings:

Compared with 2002, the percentage of full-time U.S. journalists who claim to be Democrats has dropped 8 percentage points in 2013 to about 28 percent, moving this figure closer to the overall population percentage of 30 percent, according to a December 12-15, 2013, ABC News/Washington Post national poll of 1,005 adults. This is the lowest percentage of journalists saying they are Democrats since 1971. An even larger drop was observed among journalists who said they were Republicans in 2013 (7.1 percent) than in 2002 (18 percent), but the 2013 figure is still notably lower than the percentage of U.S. adults who identified with the Republican Party (24 percent according to the poll mentioned above).

   There is no doubt to me that the media is mostly very liberal. However, I do wonder if a lot of past Republicans are turning Independent as I have because Republicans are turning more liberal. The chart sort of would give evidence to this. I tend to vote Republican but will also cast my vote to Libertarian and the Constitution party if the Republican runner is a liberal in disguise.
