      Dana,

Could not agree more, Windows 8 is a fiasco. It is meant for tablets, not pc’s or laptops.

Microsoft obviously forgot about the saying, “dance with the date that brung ya.”

Sometimes one operating system does not fit all and that is the case with Windows. 8. I at least heard that Windows 8.1 at least brings back some of 7 but still is a mess.

I despise Windows 8!!! When I had to buy a new laptop recently I went from Windows Vista to 8 and what drives me nuts is having to drag out the icons from the right when I want to shut down.

Microsoft wants to have a single platform for all devices. Unfortunately, they are unable to make it happen. They have been able to make all the odd numbered releases of Windows be pretty good.

I predict that they will keep messing with patches to W8 until they can get Windows 9 released.

With over half million lines of code, Windows is bloated to the point of making it difficult to make everything work. A new Gui interface for laptops and desktop computers that forces all users to adapt to tablet techniques is someone’s failing to understand how people really use computers.
