EPIC FAILURE … Reuters is reporting that State Obamacare exchanges have enrolled 3%, 3 lousy percent of their target goal. This is not the government health exchange, Healthcare .gov that has been an embarrassing nightmare, but the state exchanges. Hey America, do you see now why Obama and Democrats are forcing you to buy insurance or else? No one is even doing so under threat of penalty and the IRS.

President Barack Obama’s healthcare reform has reached only about 3 percent of its enrollment target for 2014 in 12 U.S. states where new online health insurance marketplaces are mostly working smoothly, a report released on Monday said.

States with functioning exchanges have signed up 49,100 people compared with the 1.4 million people expected to be enrolled for 2014, according to the report by healthcare research and consultancy firm Avalere Health.

With enrollment in the federal HealthCare.gov website serving 36 states stalled by technical failures, the weak sign-ups for functioning insurance exchanges could be due to the administration’s difficulty to promote the program as a success, Avalere said.

The government is due to release national enrollment figures for the month of October this week. Open enrollment ends March 31, 2014.

Supporters of Obamacare and health insurers fear that scant participation in the private insurance exchanges will prevent them from becoming a sustainable new individual market, including the right mix of young and healthy members to offset coverage for older, sick people.

   The 3% number sets up two possible scenarios: One, the most likely, is that the vast majority of Americans that Obamee is counting on to enroll never bother to try. That 3% turns into at most, 10% by February. The Democrat party begs for a year-long suspension in the individual mandate penalty. Republicans use that and the debt ceiling to finally break Obamee and get everything they want: significant entitlement reforms, significant spending cuts, and a full repeal of this ridiculous law. The Dems are devastated, but the damage is only catastrophic. A GOP landslide in 2014 is guaranteed, but Obamee keeps enough support to stay in office.

   Scenario #2: The petulant man-child refuses to cooperate and shuts down the government for a second time over Obameecare in January. This time the Dems take 100% of the blame, the public turns on him immediately, and impeachment or resignation then becomes an option as his numbers crash into the teens. Democrat senators call for his resignation, and when it becomes clear there’s 67 votes to remove him from office, he resigns. Biden gets to serve out his term along with a GOP vice president. 2016 ushers in a permanent GOP majority in the federal government and enough states to make constitutional amendment ratification a reality. Sweeping changes in the U.S. begin, and the New Deal is dismantled.

   So, either an impressive victory where the Democrat party learns their place as the loyal opposition, or a total victory where they are obliterated.

   Which one comes to pass depends on Obamee.
