OUCH, Michelle Malkin handed Richard Fowler, Democratic political strategist, on FOX News’ Hannity last night. This lib actually thinks that more gun laws would have prevented the killing of Chris Lane. The gun in the possession of the three “thrill kill” teens was gained illegally as they were all under the age of 18. So what laws could have been enacted except for the confiscation of all guns. And even with that, the criminals, thugs and gang-bangers are still going to find a way to get the guns. It is never about the crime or the murder with the LEFT, its about gun control and gun grabbing.

Would the assault weapons ban have prevented this murder? Obviously not. When one is bored and just wants to kill some one, I hardly believe they are worried about laws, any laws.

What the LIB twist in the wind as the LEFT could not get gun violence any more wrong … is it any wonder why they never want to discuss the Killing Fields of Chicago.

Thanks Obamacare … UPS and UVA Ending Spousal Insurance Coverage … What Happened to Obama’s Promise that You Can Keep Your Insurance If You Want To

MISLEADER IN CHIEF: THANKS TO OBAMACARE, UPS AND UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA ENDING SPOUSAL INSURANCE COVERAGE …

Remember when President Barack Obama promised Americans that under Obamacare, you can keep your insurance coverage if you like it? Well guess what, HE LIED! As reported at the NY Times, United Parcel Service has told its employees that it will stop providing health care coverage to their spouses who can obtain coverage through their own employer. Thus, spouses who have a lesser coverage in their employment, but are provided heath care will no longer be able to be covered under the better UPS health care insurance plan. This is happening in many other companies and as it turns out Universities as well. UPS and UVA are dropping spousal coverage and citing increased health care costs. Wait, wasn’t Obamacare supposed to cut health care costs as well? I guess it all depends on what “nobody” is?

THE OBAMA LIES: “If you like your healthcare plan, you can keep your healthcare plan, PERIOD! No one will take it away, no matter what.”

United Parcel Service has told its white-collar employees that it will stop providing health care coverage to their spouses who can obtain coverage through their own employers, joining an increasing number of companies that are restricting or eliminating spousal health benefits.

U.P.S., the world’s largest package delivery company, said its decision was prompted in part by “costs associated with” the federal health care law that is commonly called Obamacare. Several health care experts, however, said they believed the company was motivated by a desire to hold down health care costs, rather than because of cost increases under the law.

In a memo addressed to employees, U.P.S. said, “Limiting plan eligibility is one way to manage ongoing health care costs, now and into the future, so that we can continue to provide affordable coverage for our employees.”

The memo also estimated that about 33,000 spouses were covered under its insurance plan for white-collar employees and that “about 15,000 of these would have health care coverage available through their own employers.”

The University of Virginia is going the same.

The University of Virginia will no longer provide insurance coverage to the working spouses of its employees, a move university officials hope will save “millions of dollars.”

Starting Jan. 1, employee spouses who have health insurance coverage under their employers cannot get coverage under UVa’s plan. If the spouse is covered under a plan defined by the Affordable Care Act as “minimum value” and “affordable,” he or she will no longer be eligible.

Cutting off working spouses with access to health insurance is part of the university’s plan to save money in the long-term, said UVa spokesman McGregor McCance.

Yesterday, FOX News White House correspondent Ed Henry asked deputy White House press secretary, Josh Earnest, on the White Houses thoughts as to the senseless, callous and sickening murder of Aussie Chris Lane in Oklahoma. Unbelievably, the Obama WH response was … “I’m not familiar with that actually”.  How is that possible? Earnest then had the nerve to say, “I wouldn’t want to get ahead of the legal process here”. This murder case has International implications as Chris Lane was in this country on a baseball scholarship from Australia. Need we remind everyone that Australia has always been one of our great allies and this is how they are treated by the Obama White House? There has been International outrage regarding this case, some in Australia have stated that the US should be boycotted and these clowns have no idea abut the case? Barack Obama certainly has no issue interjecting himself in the Travon Martin murder did he, stating that is he had a son he would look like Trayvon? Who would have thought that the United States would act like Aruba did during the Death and disappearance of Natalee Holloway? Because it is not politically convenient for Obama to discuss, just as it was not economically convenient for Aruba tourism in 2005, mum is the word for Barack Obama. SICK!

Ed Henry: Do you have any reaction to the Christopher Lane case?

Josh Earnest: Uh, I’m not familiar with that actually.

Ed Henry: In Oklahoma this 22 Year-old Australian who goes out on a jog and these young men who apparently told the police they were bored and they thought it would be fun to kill him.

Josh Earnest: Well, just that this sounds like a pretty tragic case. I wouldn’t want to get ahead of the legal process here. The president himself has spoken very eloquently about the violence in our communities.

The Gateway Pundit reminds us of just how outspoken Barack Obama was about Trayvon and seemed to care less about getting ahead of the legal process in the murder trial of George Zimmerman. So why the double standard? Maybe it is because Chris Lane did not look like Obama, if he had a son.

Finally Jesse Jackson has a comment, um well sort of …

The Reverend Jesse Jackson was quick to sound off about the Trayvon Martin death and demand justice. Jackson voiced his outrage over the shooting, demanded justice and proclaimed his disgust over the senseless killing. However, he has been noticeable silent when it came to the thrill kill murder of Australian baseball star Chris Lane in Oklahoma. Until yesterday when Jesse Jackson took to Twitter and voiced his moral outrage at the senseless killing of Chris Lane saying that a “thrill kill” of an individual by three bored teens was “frowned upon”. HUH, FROWNED UPON? That’s it? These three thugs, two of which were black, gun down a white kid for the sport of it and all Jackson has it that it is “frowned upon?” Where is the moral outrage Rev. Jackson that you showed in the Trayvon Martin killing? Sorry, but this one is worse. There was no confrontation, there is no question in doubt as to who did what. But sadly for Jackson and the rest of the race hustlers, this story does not fit their narrative and agenda and there fore does not need to be made an issue.

You mean I have to be consistent in my selective moral outrage?

How pathetic, but it is more than what has come from the mouths of race hustler Al Sharpton and President Barack Obama. During yesterday’s White House daily presser, WH press secretary did not even know who Chris Lane was or the murder. They certainly knew who Trayvon Martin was, didn’t they?

UPDATE I: Finally Jesse Jackson and the Rainbow Push Coalition has released a statement on the murder of Chris Lane after being guilted into doing so after Jackson’s previous weak tweet that he “frowned upon” an innocent Aussie being shot in the back by three coward teens. However, still some what tepid compared to his selective outrage in Trayvon’s death. I wonder why?

The recent incidents of violence in America most notably the murder of Christopher Lee an aspiring student athlete from Australia in Oklahoma and the attack of a student on a school bus in Florida once again calls each of us to a collectively resist all forms of violence in our society. In particular black on black violence that disproportionately affects every facet of black life in America. These horrific episodes that leave all rationally thinking people appalled and others feeling paralyzed cannot be addressed by our silence and or abdicating our personal responsibility. We urge all persons who believe as we do in the King principle of peace all over the globe to rise to the challenge to pursue and promote peace and its principles.  We must learn to live together in peace or we will most assuredly die apart in our own neglect.

America’s prisons are bursting at their seams and the injustice in our criminal justice system erodes the faith all should have in a democracy so that all believe and trust that it works for all of its citizens. Countless numbers of youth are caught in the vice of violence that leaves an indelible mark on its victims, communities are terrorized, and many live in urban policed militarized zones. This perpetuates an evolving taste of disgust that can only be quenched by our voices and resources used in a concerted effort to enhance and advance crime prevention in our communities. As we remember Dr. King who likewise was victim of gun violence we must all defend the dream of a free and peaceful America.
