Daytona 500 Grand Marshal James Franco Disses Danica Patrick At Start of Race … “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.”

Just another reason why actors should stick to the script …

Did you miss it yesterday at the start of the Daytona 500? James Franco, the Grand Marshall of the Daytona 500, decided to go off script, added his PC’ness to the starting instruction and botched the entire thing. Instead of saying the obvious, “Gentleman and Danica, start your engines” as obviously Danica Patrick was the only female driver in the race. However, Franco flubbed the line and in doing so dissed Danica when he said, “Drivers and Danica, start your engines.” So I guess Danica is not a driver? The sad part was I actually think that Franco was trying to give Danica a special shout out and botched the it completely. Say, who was that doing the start if the race, Joe Biden?

With all due respect to the haters of Danica Patrick, she is a driver. Last time I checked she won the pole, was the first woman to ever lead a lap in the Daytona 500 and is one of a hand full of drivers to lead a lap in the Daytona 500 and the Indianapolis 500. Face it folks, Danica is finally doing the job on the track and getting the well deserved kudos after having received all of the media attention for her off the track exploits and Go Daddy racy commercials.

In fairness to James Franco, the traditional Daytona 500-opening phrase, “Gentlemen, start your engines,” doesn’t really work, what with Danica Patrick in the pole position and all.

It desperately needed a rewrite and, presumably, got one. So Franco probably meant to say, “Gentlemen and Danica” or “Drivers,” but, like hosting the Oscars, this is a tricky gig. And what came out was all wrong.

When will Hollywood actors ever learn to just stick to the script, they are hardly paid to ad lib.

What is Wrong With These People … TSA Traumatized 3 Year Old, Wheelchair-bound Girl at Missouri’s Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (Update: TSA Apologizes Again)

Once again TSA agents use “ZERO” common sense and torment a 3 year old. If it’s the TSA, it’s another mistreatment of a child or disabled individual. This time it was both.

The TSA has screwed up again while protecting us from so-called terrorists. Yup, this time is was 3 year old disabled and wheelchair bound  Lucy, who was the victim of the TSA’s incompetence and lies. Lucy and her parents were on their way to Disney World when the TSA Gestapo targeted her for a pat down. Obviously the 3 year old looked like a terrorist to these brain surgeons. Not only did the TSA completely over-react and screw up in handling this matter, the TSA agents lied to the family and stated that in telling the parents that they could not film the pat down. The little girl’s mom stated, “The problem is, I don’t allow anyone to touch my little daughter.”It just seems ominous for you guys to suggest that you have to do this in the dark. That in and of itself seems very inappropriate.” KUDOS to the parents for protecting their child and holding their ground to the ridiculous tactics of the TSA.

Lucy isn’t a fussy child, according to her dad. But she was deeply upset by what was happening. In the YouTube video, the sound of her cries pierced through her parents’ back-and-forth with the TSA.

The agent explained that she needed to check Lucy’s wheelchair for any kind of explosives.

She tried to get Annie to stop filming, telling her, “It is illegal to do that.”

“The problem is, I don’t allow anyone to touch my little daughter,” Annie said on the video. “It just seems ominous for you guys to suggest that you have to do this in the dark. That in and of itself seems very inappropriate.”

And just like every other time that the TSA has used a complete lack of common sense, they apologized. The VIDEO can be seen HERE.

Maybe these TSA individuals will be the ones that are furloughed or laid off due to the impending sequester where Barack Obama whines that TSA agents will be affected by the budget cuts.

Father of the Year Candidate Santos Barillas Leaves 2 Year Old Daughter in Truck While He Frequented a Strip Club

What, did you expect him to bring the child in the strip club?

24 year old Santos Barillas won’t be receiving any votes any time soon for Father of the Year. Then again, maybe he will seeing that former winners were Bill Clinton and Jon Edwards.  According to the LA Times, Barillas left his two year old daughter in his truck while he inside a strip club to drink. Oh, and it was a cold truck, as if that matters. What, did you want him to leave the engine and heat running so the child could have died of carbon monoxide poisoning? Wasn’t the abandonment in the vehicle is bad enough?  I am going to go out on a limb and guess he went into the club to do a tad bit more than drink. When the police arrived, both the father and daughter were asleep in the truck. Barillas was allegedly intoxicated at the time of his arrest.  Barillas faces several charges, including child endangerment.

Santos Barillas, 24, of Canoga Park, faces several charges, including child endangerment, officials said Sunday.

According to KTLA News, 911 dispatchers got a call just after midnight that the toddler was locked in the truck outside the 7557 Club on Woodley Avenue. Officials said the temperature in the truck was about 45 degrees.

Officers arrived at the location to find the man asleep with the child in the back seat of the Toyota pickup, authorities said.

13 Year Old Kaitlyn Cecilia Benny Missing Since 2/22/13 in Baltimore, MD

13 year old Kaitlyn Cecilia Benny has been missing since February 22, 2013 in Baltimore, MD.  She was last seen at about 5:30 pm on Friday on the 5900 block of Benton Heights Avenue in North East Baltimore.  Police state that Benny was wearing a blue and black hooded sweatshirt, a light blue t-shirt, navy blue school pants and black Chuck Taylor tennis shoes.

Kaitlyn Benny, described as white, 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds, was last seen about 5:30 p.m. Friday in the 5900 block of Benton Heights Ave. in the Glenham-Belford area off Belair Road. Police said she was wearing a blue and black hoodie, light blue T-shirt, navy blue school pants and black Chuck Tanner shoes.

Police ask anyone coming in contact with the girl to contact the Missing Person Unit at 443-984-7385 or call 911.
