WOW, From You Obama Administration … Joe Biden Says American’s No Longer Worried About the Economy

UNBELIEVABLE, GET READY FOR 4 MORE YEARS OF ECONOMIC PAIN AMERICA AND YOU VOTED FOR IT …

Don’t worry Obamanomics has saved the US economy, NOT!!! America, the following is not a Joe Biden gaffe. It is what the Obama administration and Democrats actually believe. They think that you are no longer worried about the economy and this way it will enable Obama to move on to guns and immigration as Americans continue to be unemployed. Yesterday at the White House, the economist Joe Biden told reporters, Americans no longer worried about the economy.

“They are no longer worried, I think, about our economy being overwhelmed either by Europe writ large, the EU, or China somehow swallowing up every bit of innovation that exists in the world. They are no longer, I think, worried about our economy being overwhelmed beyond our shores.”

What say you America, are you concerned about the economy, lack of job growth, record number of Americans on food stamps and a standard of living that continues to go down? Just curious, what has changed? It certainly cannot be President Barack Obama’s economic record of job growth as Obama wins the “Gold For Worst Economic Recovery Ever”.

Search Continues for Unidentified Family of Four, Including Two Children Missing at Sea West of Monterey Bay off the California Coast (Update: Hoax?)

The search continues for the unidentified family of four, including two children under the age of 8, who are missing at sea west of Monterey Bay off the Central California coast. The individuals are reported to have made their first distress call late Sunday afternoon aboard a 29-foot sailboat was taking on water and the electronics were failing. The Coast Guard released one of the family’s recorded distress calls ( http://bit.ly/W90cyv ), in hopes that it would lead to new information from the public that could help in the search.; however, the agency has received no reports of missing persons in the case. The agency believes the boat’s name was Charmblow. In the crackling recording, a man’s voice is heard saying, “Coast Guard, Coast Guard, we are abandoning ship. This is the (Charmblow), we are abandoning ship.” According to reports, they had no life rafts on board.

Authorities have turned to the public in hopes of identifying a family that sent a series of distress calls saying their boat was sinking far off the Central California coast.

“There is still no information on where the boat was coming from, where it was going or who the people on board are,” said Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Mike Lutz.

The unidentified family of four — including two children under 8 — had been sailing a small vessel Sunday west of Monterey Bay. Forecasters had issued a weekend advisory warning boaters of rough seas in the area, and water temperatures typically are in the 40s and 50s, making long-term survival difficult.

The group made its first distress call late Sunday afternoon, said Coast Guard Lt. Heather Lampert. Investigators used the boat’s radio signal and radar to determine the call came from an area about 60 miles west of Monterey.

The boaters reported that their 29-foot sailboat was taking on water and the electronics were failing.

UPDATE I: Search for boat, missing family ends off California … HOAX?

The search for the presumed missing boat and the four unnamed individuals aboard has come to an end. The Coast Guard is questioning as to whether the claims of the missing boat was a hoax. There had been no reports of the missing family or any registration of the vessel in question.

Rescuers have stopped searching the cold Pacific Ocean for a couple, two young children and a sinking sailboat as questions of a hoax arise amid no reports of the missing family or any registration of the vessel in question.

The Coast Guard on Tuesday called off the search for a boat that reportedly sank in rough seas far off the Central California coast, saying nothing more could be done and that the family’s distress calls might have been a hoax.

“We’ve exhausted the possibilities,” Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Mike Lutz said. The Coast Guard is treating the incident as a rescue, with the possibility the calls came from a trickster.

Coast Guard Executive Officer Noah Hudson in Monterey said it was tough to call off a search, but that if it was a hoax, “it’s unfortunate that we were forced to use so many resources for so much time.”

Former Surgeon General C. Everett Koop Dead at the Age of 96, R.I.P

C.  Everett Koop, the former surgeon general who served from 1982 to 1989, has died at the age of 96 at his home in Hanover, NH. Coop served under both Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush.  C. Everett Coop was probably one of the most recognizable and influential US surgeon generals ever. During his tenure as Surgeon General, Koop was an effective communicator best known for raising awareness on the dangers of smoking and AIDS. He once described himself as the “health conscience” of America. Who can forget the surgeons general warning on cigarettes packages that became as popular as Nancy Regan’s “Just Say No” drug campaign and his call for a smoke free nation.  In 1984 he wrote that nicotine has an addictiveness similar to that of heroin or cocaine.

C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon general who brought frank talk about AIDS into U.S. homes, has died at his home in Hanover, N.H., officials at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth said Monday. He was 96.

Koop, a pediatric surgeon with a conservative reputation and a distinctive beard, served from 1982 to 1989 during the Reagan administration and the early months of the administration of George H.W. Bush.

“He was a historic figure,” who became surgeon general the year the AIDS pandemic began and played a pivotal role in educating Americans about it, says Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Disease.

The life and times of C. Everett Koop.

C. Everett Coop takes on smoking and AIDS from the NY Times.

Dr. Koop issued emphatic warnings about the dangers of smoking, and he almost single-handedly pushed the government into taking a more aggressive stand against AIDS. And despite his steadfast moral opposition to abortion, he refused to use his office as a pulpit from which to preach against it.

These stands led many liberals who had bitterly opposed his nomination to praise him, and many conservatives who had supported his appointment to vilify him. Conservative politicians representing tobacco-growing states were among his harshest critics, and many Americans, for moral or religious reasons, were upset by his public programs to fight AIDS and felt betrayed by his relative silence on abortion.

As much as anyone, it was Dr. Koop who took the lead in trying to wean Americans off smoking, and he did so in imposing fashion. At a sturdy 6-foot-1, with his bushy gray biblical beard, Dr. Koop would appear before television cameras in the gold-braided dark-blue uniform of a vice admiral — the surgeon general’s official uniform, which he revived — and sternly warn of the terrible consequences of smoking.

“Smoking kills 300,000 Americans a year,” he said in one talk. “Smokers are 10 times more likely to develop lung cancer than nonsmokers, two times more likely to develop heart disease. Smoking a pack a day takes six years off a person’s life.”

Daytona 500: 50 Cent Does His Best Imitation of Joe Namath … Rapper Tries to Hit on and Kiss Erin Andrews

I wonder if President Barack Obama considers the following a “war on women” and just who did 50 Cent vote for in the last election?

This is quite embarrassing, can you say AWKWAR? 50 Cent tries to hit on FOX Sports Erin Andrews in the pit area prior to yesterday’s Daytona 500. It would seem that the 37 year old rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson was the first car wreck of the day as Andrews thwarted his advance. What is most amazing is the fact that Erin Andrews was the center of a major stalking incident and well talked about and seen internet video. That demeaning situation for Erin did not seem to stop 50 Cent.  I guess 50 Cent was channeling his inner Joe Namath.  Remember years back another majorly awkward moment when ESPN’s Suzy Colber was hit on by a rather amorous former NY Jet QB Joe Namath.

Erin Andrews was out in the Daytona pit area prior to Sunday’s race. She was looking for Danica Patrick, but she found … 50 Cent. And 50 Cent is quite smitten.

Watch as 50 Cent tries to plant a smooch on Andrews’ cheek and follows her on a two-man Danica hunt.

However, the following is still one of the most awkward moments for a female broadcaster and the perils of dealing with over affectionate males. Add a lot of alcohol to the mix and we get the following.Remember the amazingly awkward moment on the sidelines of Suzy Kolber interviewing Joe Namath … “I want to kiss you … I couldn’t care less about the team struggling”
