NY Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer Asks Retailers for Moratorium on Gun Sales … This is How the Dismantling of the 2nd Amendment Begins

And so it begins … this is how gun liberty is lost.

Sen. Chuck Schumer (NY-D) asked gun retailers to suspend sales of assault weapons as Congress discusses gun control. UNREAL. Did Chucky Schumer ask the video game retailers to stop selling ‘Call of Duty’ and other violent gaming videos? Did Chucky Schumer ask Hollywood. the movie and TV industry to suspend all production of violent programing as well while Congress discusses gun safety control? Did Chucky Schumer ask psychiatrists to hold off on seeing mental patients with a death wish until Congress discussed gun control? The answer would be no, no and no.

Sen. Charles Schumer says retailers that sell assault weapons should stop offering them for purchase while Congress discusses gun regulation legislation.

Schumer on Sunday released a letter he sent to major retailers asking for a voluntary moratorium.

The New York Democrat says consumer demand for guns has gone up in the weeks since the December mass shooting in Newtown, Conn.

Schumer says Congress is debating the issue, and if measures get passed that limit these type of weapons, it won’t help if more of them have recently been sold.

YES AMERICA, DON’T BE FOOLED … THEY WANT YOUR GUNS!  Be very careful America of those who want to disarm you. There is a long list of individuals in history who have done to their people who include Hitler, Stalin and Mao.

Schummer is a typical NY socialist who believes his own silly ideas. As long as the Eastern part of the state has the large liberal vote, this guy will stay in office.

I hope the business people tell him to buzz off.

Obama: Some Gun Control Measures ‘I Can Accomplish Through Executive Action’
      Jan 14, 2013

President Obama said he’d take “executive action” to deal with guns at his press conference today:

“My understanding is the vice president’s going to provide a range of steps that we can take to reduce gun violence,” said Obama. “Some of them will require legislation, some of them I can accomplish through executive action. …”

“I think right now, this shows that we are getting away from a government that’s based upon consent of the American people, and we’re starting to live under a rule by edict or executive order.”

      The US Government is currently
      an Assault Weapon itself. Firing
      on ‘automatic’ hundreds of rounds
      of deadly regulations and illegal
      ‘Executive Orders’, We the People
      are being outgunned and turned
into property of the State. We are
almost existing at the pleasure of
      the Government.

What kind of weight does Chuck
Schumer carry in this world. Should
anyone in the Free Enterprise system
react to ignorant requests from a
      Senator charged with upholding and
      protecting our Constitution and Bill
of Rights? The 2nd Amendment was
written just for this kind of abuse IMHO.

The NRA prior to 1979 supported deeper backround checks before the Soldier of Fortune/Turner Diaries crowd took over and created todays NRA. How many more kids have to die? Please put a number on it will you. What’s acceptable to you?

SM: Enough of your BS “how many more kids have to die.” I would dare say that I have taken more of my time and effort to protect, save and search for children than you have ever dreamed of. You, like about are FOS. You both play games and exploit children for your own needs to pass laws that are against the US Constitution in the name of protecting children.

Sorry Keebler, but the Sandy Hook shooting failed a back ground check and still got his hands on guns to carry out his evil plans. When will you liberals ever understand that you cannot legislate ignorance, apathy and evil? So you’re cry for deeper back ground checks would not have prevented the murder of 26 at Sandy Hook.

I have no issue with background checks; however, do not think that it is any form of useful legislation to protect children. With the criminal mind, water seeks its own level and they find a way. Do you not understand that individuals have others buy guns and pass background checks to get guns? Then, do you really think criminals, gang bangers, etc who could not pass a background check today buy guns legally? How long has the US had a “war on drugs’? How’s that working?

Ban assault-style guns … how did that work in the 90′s? There were a large number of school shootings during that period of time.

Restricting the size of magazines … sorry, in this case size does not matter. An individual hell-bent on killing can have one 100 round magazine or 10-10 round magazines. It takes me 2 seconds to reload my gun with a new magazine. In reality, if a killers 100 round magazine jams, which happens a lot, he is finished. However, if the killer has 10 to 20 to 30 ten round magazines in his bag, he can fire and kill even more.

Ban on assault-style guns will never protect anything
      http://www.policymic.com/articles/23290/7-reasons-why-an-assault-weapons-ban-will-fail-to-reduce-violent-crime

According to studies of the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban, the ban had little effect on reducing gun crime. A Department of Justice study by Roth and Koper of the original ban points out,”We were unable to detect any reduction to date in two types of gun murders that are thought to be closely associated with assault weapons, those with multiple victims in a single incident and those producing multiple bullet wounds per victim.”

In addition, the study says,”At best, the assault weapons ban can have only a limited effect on total gun murders, because the banned weapons and magazines were never involved in more than a modest fraction of all gun murders.”

I am all for the protecting of children, but I believe in really protecting children, not providing BS lip service and passing laws that are merely to go after the 2nd Amendment. Don’t ever question my concern for children, I actually have a history of doing so, unlike Obama who only believes in having guns protect him and his children, not ours.

Red, How many gunshot victims have you given first-aid to? How many times has someone begged you not to let them die? I had over 15,000 emergency calls during my career. I’ve seen torture and abuse. I worked three different shootings and a fatal stabbing over who’s quarters was next up on a pool table. I once had a guy stumble up to me with a .25 slug sticking out of his forehead. Every year some local college kid would blow his finals and then blow his head off. I’ve also been shot AT. I was a army grunt and NRA member for a decade, I shot a nine point and an 11 point last month lest you think I’m anti-gun/ hunting. I know what my rights are and I don’t want/need the NRA to act like they represent my views. The constitution and my views have stayed the same, it’s the NRA that’s changed. Now that the NRA has attacked the president via his kids I wouldn’t be proud to be a member. That was low. Hope you report on the methods the NRA has used recenty to expand membership, and the membership claims versus the facts (hint: two places you never die, Chicago voter lists and as a life member of the NRA) I had a in-ground pool, had to carry a million dollar liability policy on it. You have a right to own a gun, a responsibility to use and keep it safely and little liability if you don’t. Lost or stolen gun, worries. Lost or stolen car, worries and liability. I’d settle fo mandatory reporting of lost or stolen guns or the owner assumes responsibility

SM: Honestly, who cares what you have done. That’s not the story. But that is all you want to do is tell us about yourself and what you claim to have done. Not interested. None of it is verifiable. You use the death of children to proclaim that nom one who agrees with you or Obama is evil. For that I say go fly a kite. I believe in the protection of children, not banning guns that will accomplish nada.

He is the BS of the exploitation of Obama’s high-jacking of the Sandy Hook Shooting. The issue was protecting children in schools, not stopping all gun violence. One is possible, stopping all gun violence is never going to happen and anyone who believes its possible is delusional.

You said … “NRA has attacked the president via his kids” … BS!!!

All the NRA did was expose Obama for the hypocrite that he is. But I guess you have no issue with Obama using the deaths of 20 children for his anti-2nd Amendment agenda? I am for the protection of children and none of the BS that Obama spewed today is going to do anything. All the NRA states was that Obama has no issue with guns and the Secret Service protecting his children. I agree, they should be protected, they are at a greatest risk to being harmed or kidnapped because they are the children of the president.

However, Obama’s children are not any more important than any other parent’s child in America. They are no more special or precious that other parent’s children.

I am not saying that they should not be protected by the Secret Service or that all children should be protected by the Secret Service. What I am saying is that America’s children do not deserve no protection. Also, any laws set up to protect children in schools is not a federal matter. It is a state and local issue.

There are ways to protect children, but sadly that is not what Obama is interested in. And is he believes any of his nonsense would do so, he is a bigger fool than I thought.
