31 Year Old Female Suspect Who Pushed Man to his Death in NYC Subway in Custody (Update: Erika Menendez Charged with Hate Crime, “I’ve hated Hindus and Muslims since 2001 …”)

The woman who earlier this week pushed 46 year old Sunando Sen to his death in a New York City subway has been arrested and is in police custody.  The 31 year old suspect’s name with be held until she is formally charged.  The suspect shoved Sen in front of a speeding subway train and then fled the subway station following the attack. According to police she has made a statement that implicated herself in the subway incident.

A woman is in custody in the death of a man who was shoved in front of a speeding subway train, and she “made statements implicating herself,” New York City police said Saturday.

Detectives questioned her but aren’t releasing the 31-year-old suspect’s name until she is formally charged, NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said in a brief statement. Among other things, investigators were arranging for witnesses to positively identify the woman in custody as the attacker, police said.

Sunando Sen, a 46-year-old Queens resident who was born in India and ran a printing shop, died Thursday night when a woman who had been muttering to herself on a train platform in Queens suddenly knocked him on the tracks as a train entered the station.

This is the second subway incident this month that has seen an individual push another onto the tracks to their death in NYC. So when will Mayor Bloomberg, Sen. Schumer and the rest of the Democrats call for a banning of subways?

UPDATE I: 31 year old Erika Menendez has been charged with second-degree murder after confessing to killing Sunando Sen following her arrest this morning. She has also been charged with a hate crime as she stated,  ”I’ve hated Hindus and Muslims since 2001 since they put down the Twin Towers. I have been beating them up since.”

A Muslim-hating woman was charged with murder as a hate crime for senselessly shoving a Queens man to his death in front of the 7 train, officials said today.

Erika Menendez, 31, was hit with a second-degree murder charge after confessing to killing Sunando Sen, 46, following her arrest this morning.

“She is accused of committing a subway commuter’s worst nightmare,” Queens DA Richard Brown said. “(He was) suddenly and senselessly pushed into the path of an oncoming train, shoved from behind with no chance to defend himself.

“She told police that she pushed a Muslim off the train tracks. She said, ‘I’ve hated Hindus and Muslims since 2001 since they put down the Twin Towers. I have been beating them up since.’”

Unbelievable … While American Workers Suffer & the US Spirals Out of Control with Spending … President Obama Gives Joe Biden and Congress a Raise

Bend over tax paying America, Obama is about to do it to “We the People” again. Then again, you elected him!

How ‘s that “Hopey-Changey” stuff working out for you America? As the United States spirals out of control due to government spending and a $16+ trillion debt … President Barack Obama gives VP Joe Biden and Congress a pay raise. As Americans struggle to create budgets and live within their means as Obamacare taxes are about to take affect in 2013 as well as the 2% payroll tax going bye-bye … Obama increases the government debt on tax payers with a pay raise for federal workers. As record number of Americans are on food stamps, record number of Americans are on disabilities and a record number of Americans are unemployed and left the work force completely … Obama does what he does best and acts as a community agitator and rewards federal workers at the expense of the private sector.

America, they are just laughing at you

President Barack Obama issued an executive order to end the pay freeze on federal employees, in effect giving some federal workers a raise. One federal worker now to receive a pay increase is Vice President Joe Biden.

According to disclosure forms, Biden made a cool $225,521 last year. After the pay increase, he’ll now make $231,900 per year.

Members of Congress, from the House and Senate, also will receive a little bump, as their annual salary will go from $174,000 to 174,900. Leadership in Congress, including the speaker of the House, will likewise get an increase.

As reported at The Weekly Standard, according to a senior Republican congressional aide who has reviewed the executive order and consulted with the Congressional Budget Office, Obama’s pay raise will cost $11 billion. “The CBO told us that the President’s pay raise for federal workers will cost $11 billion over ten years.”

This is how he [Obama] cares about you America. As he increases government workers pay, the median household income has dropped $4,520,or about one month’s average wages, since President Obama took office. As seen by the 2012 Presidential election, “There’s a sucker born every minute”.

Democrat Majority Leader Harry Reid Says … House ‘Being Operated With A Dictatorship Of The Speaker’

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black … What ever happened to the “civility” that Obama had called for? Where is his leadership to tell those in his in party to shut their mouths, as they are helping nothing.

It would appear that Sen. Reid (D-NV) could care less about civility and trying to offer an olive branch in order to come to a deal with House Speaker Boehner. Harry Reid stated while speaking on the floor of the US Senate that the House was “being operated with a dictatorship of the speaker.” How juvenile could one be? How could anyone think that such words are helpful an would be considered doing the work of the American people? Just how many bills have the Senate passed to deal with the fiscal cliff?

With a Dec. 31 deadline for an agreement to avert the so-called “fiscal cliff” rapidly approaching, leaders in each party demanded the other side take the initiative. The new flare-up happened despite a round of calls that President Barack Obama made to congressional leaders by phone Wednesday night from Hawaii before he boarded Air Force One to head home from vacation.

The market was glum, with stocks falling for the fourth day in a row amid the stalled negotiations and a report that consumer confidence had plunged to its lowest level since August.

Obama’s plane landed in late morning at a suburban Maryland Air Force base, not long after Majority Leader Harry Reid took to the Senate floor to chastise House Republicans who last week opposed Speaker John Boehner’s efforts to pass a narrowly crafted bill. Boehner’s “Plan B” would have raised tax rates only on the very wealthiest Americans. But the opposition within his own party caucus forced the Ohio Republican to cancel a vote on the bill.

Reid charged Thursday that the House was “being operated with a dictatorship of the speaker.”

In a response to Reid’s childish remarks, Speaker Boehner spokesman Brendan Buck said: “Harry Reid should talk less and legislate more if he wants to avert the fiscal cliff. The House has already passed legislation to do so.”

I really have to question the wisdom of the American voters who reelected the status quo and those in Nevada who reelected Reid in 2010. The leadership in both parties needs to be purged and we need to start from scratch. Of course that should have meant Obama should have been thrown out on his ears as well.
