The Chairman of the California Democratic Party John Burton Compares GOPs To Nazi Propaganda Chief Joseph Goebbels (VIDEO)

I guess this is what President Barack Obama was talking about when he referenced civility in politics … Welcome to Obama “Hope and Change” in 2012.

John Burton, the Chairman of the California Democratic Party provided more smear politics yesterday when he compared the GOP to Nazi propagandist Joseph Goebbels. Democrat John Burton took the high road, for Moonbat Democrats, and smeared GOP Vice-Presidential Candidate Paul Ryan for “lying” about the Janesville GM Plant, even though Paul Ryan was not lying.

The Chairman of the California Democratic Party already had political pundits, delegates and rivals buzzing a day before the Democratic National Convention formally opened in Charlotte, North Carolina, after telling KCBS Radio exclusively that Republican tactics had been akin to Nazi propaganda.

“They lie and they don’t care if people think they lie,” Chairman of the California Democratic Party John Burton told KCBS Monday in Charlotte. “As long as you lie, Joseph Goebbels, the big lie, you keep repeating it, you know.”

LISTEN TO A DEMOCRAT LOON IN THEIR OWN WORDS

Really? The DNC Convention has just begun and we have Democrats acting with such vile behavior.  But should it really come as a surprise to the Republican party? As alliterated at Powerline, put a bunch for freaks together in one place and you get a freak show. Mitt Romney has been called in political ads, by Democrat pundits and surrogates of Obama  a felon, a tax cheat, and a murderer. One would naturally think that being compared to a Nazi was right up their ally.

UPDATE I: The GOP demands an apology for outrageous Nazi comment. California Democrat Chair Burton makes an non-apology apology regarding the Nazi propaganda comment.

UPDATE: In response to the uproar over his (below) comments Monday, California Democratic Party Chair John Burton issued this statement:

“To correct press reports of my recent comments about Republican lies, I did not call Republicans Nazis nor would I ever. In fact, I didn’t even use the word.

“If Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan, or the Republicans are insulted by my describing their campaign tactic as the big lie – I most humbly apologize to them or anyone who might have been offended by that comment.”

Really, this is the demeanor of the lunatic LEFT and their idea of an apology? I guess it all depends of what Hitler, is? You would compare some one to a Nazi propagandist by name, but claim that you did not call them a Nazi. It is really sad what the Democrat party has become. The Moonbats have become the main stream in the party.

The Gateway Pundit states, “Their policies suck. The economy is in shambles. They bet the farm on the Stimulus and it failed. They’ve hit rock bottom.” That pretty much sums it up in a “NUT” shell.

      ++++++++

Democrats, The Anti-Defamation League and The American Jewish Committee demanded an apology from Allen West for comparing Democrats to Joseph Goebbels. Time will tell whether a double standard will emerge and John Burton is given a pass.

Allen West draws wrath for comparing Democrats to Nazi propagandists
      December 16th, 2011

“If Joseph Goebbels was around, he’d be very proud of the Democrat Party because they have an incredible propaganda machine,” West told reporters in the Capitol. “I think that you have, and let’s be honest, you know, some of the people in the media are complicit in this, in enabling them to get that type of message out.”

      Dem stands by Nazi comparison
      January 19, 2011

Rep. Steve Cohen, the Tennessee Democrat who compared Republican efforts to criticize health care to the works of a famous Nazi propagandist, is standing by his heated rhetoric on the House Floor Tuesday night. …

“They say it’s a government takeover of health care, a big lie, just like Goebbels. You say it enough, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie, you repeat the lie and eventually people believe it.”

A rambling zombie at best. We should be
thankful that this type of Progressive is
      on public display.

My son’s American FIL concedes that he does have a double standard. Democrats Cohen and Burton should apologize for comparing the Republican Party to the Nazi propagandist but … on the other hand … conservative Allen West gets a pass when comparing Goebbels to the Democratic Party. LOL

DEMOCRAT STEVE COHEN – JANUARY, 2011

      Dem stands by Nazi comparison
      January 19, 2011

In his interview with CNN, Cohen insists the press has blown his comments out of proportion.

“Some have in the press…seem to want to jump on anything,” he said, adding later, “I think that people are looking for something. I think the press was hypersensitive. Certainly I didn’t intend to do that, but the way they lied has been the same way that the master political propagandist of all time Goebbels said to lie.”

Also speaking on Anderson Copper 360 Wednesday, Cohen said he wouldn’t make the comparison again but declared, “I was right.”

REPUBLICAN ALLEN WEST – DECEMBER, 2011

Allen West: Goebbels would be proud of Democrats
      12/15/11

The freshman Republican, whose district is in heavily Jewish South Florida, said his reference to Goebbels wasn’t designed to link Democrats to the overall Nazi party.

“I’m talking about propaganda, OK,” he said. “Don’t start taking my words and twisting it around. I’m talking about propaganda. And I think that’s a very important thing. When you tell me that everyone thinks that the only people on Capitol Hill are House Republicans, it’s because that’s what’s being portrayed, is that there’s nobody else up here.”

“Once again, you guys will take whatever I say and you will spin it to try to demonize me or demagogue me,” West added. “What I’m talking about is a person that was the minister of propaganda. And I’m talking about propaganda. So please. I’ll be prepared to wake up tomorrow and you guys make up some crazy story. Whatever.”
