The Romney “Birther” Joke Continues … LEFT Trots Out Anti-Romney Misspelled Birther Airplane Banner … “America is Better ‘then’ Birtherism”

At least they spelled “birtherism” correctly …

It appears that the Romney “Birther” joke continues on, except this time its not because of Romney’s comment, it is because of the Left’s rebuttal. A funny thing happened on the way to the LEFT trying to call out Romney for his joking “birther” comment, the LEFT made the joke themselves after they misspelled their airplane banner. Oops.

One day after Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney quipped that “no one’s ever ever asked to see” his birth certificate, a plane towed a banner over his Ohio rally declaring “America is better” than “birtherism.”

The problem? The banner contained an elementary grammatical error: It used “then” instead of “than.”

With all the issues that are going wrong in the United States, this is what the LEFT flies behind a plane on a banner. I guess America is better than 42 consecutive months over 8%, record number of Americans on food stamps, record federal debt, out of control Obama spending in the $trillions, millions of Americans leaving the work force and an EPIC Failure of Hope & Change was too long.

UPDATE I: According to the Daily Caller, Maeve Reston at the LA Times says MoveOn.org is responsible for this blunder at the Romney-Ryan campaign rally in Powell, Oiho. That makes sense, because they’re super-smart.

Ed Discoll asks, if the LEFT is so concerned about the environment, atmosphere and pollution, why did by engaging in unnecessary aviation?

All the lefties were asleep when that lesson was explained in English class.

So this is all the left has to fight back against the fact Obama either (a) had his citizenship given up for him as a youngster making him uneligible or (b) lied on his college application saying he was a foreign student to get a grant/easy load, etc? Okeedokee.

#2 Making stuff up is nothing to be proud of; this is all a bunch of crap.

Hey, you forgot to mention (c) he is a Muslim member of Rev Wright’s christian church!!!!

SM: No, he was a member of a Black theology church for 20 years and sat in the pews and never once heard the rantings of a racist, America hating preacher. Sorry, I find that a little hard to believe. Especially when this president is so divisive. He learned well from his mentors.

Sorry, that line was a plant to spice up the comment with a bit of humor; it wasn’t a serious remark.

it’s a proven fact that democrats can’t spell. a high pecentage of your pro athletes, football, basketball, baseball, can’t read or write past 6th grade level. i was listening to a talk show host interviewing a college professor that tutored pro athletes and she says that you would be amazed at the low IQ of professional athletes. she was stunned that million dollar athletes had the brains of small children.

#5: Hate to tell you, but every word on the banner is spelled correctly, according to the dictionary.

What does your extensive research show about those who can’t capitalize sentences correctly?

Dude, not if the proper word that is supposed to be used is (THAN) not “then”. Please, next you will be telling us that Ohio is spelled Oiho.

      That’s the left, isn’t it?
The 1% of them that are literate trying to correct the spelling, and gamer mistakes of the 99% who are high school drop outs, and blame the world for their problems.

Where is the sense of humor? I thought it was obvious my use of humor to make a point.

On the other hand, saying “it’s a proven fact that democrats can’t spell” is acceptable? I guess.

Apparently, the issue here is that “someone” took the word “than” and simply misspelled it in the creation of the banner. A typo, it seems. Kinda sounds rather innocuous, now that we know the mistake.

BTW, do we know who made the actual mistake? There must be several people involved in getting an idea onto a banner, from the group that sponsored it to the company who physically created the banner. We don’t know if the request for the banner was written or spoken. Over a telephone, a person saying “than” can have their word heard as “then”. So we don’t know if a person at the banner company simply made a mistake in transcribing the word during a phone call.

Unless there is evidence to tell the complete story, and the whole truth of what actually happened.
