Class Warfare: Barack Obama to Extend Bush Tax Cuts for Everyone But the Rich, Even though He Said Otherwise in 2010
Barack Obama, a portrait of a lack of leadership and playing politics at all cost to get reelected …
President Barack Obama continues his class warfare campaign and his pathetic pandering in order to get reelected. Obama is expected today to ask Congress to extend the Bush era tax cuts for only those making less than $250,000 for one year. ONE YEAR!!! Obama looks to string Americans on to get votes. How pathetic that this President would go back on his words from just a year ago. Barack Obama said that it would be irresponsible for any take hike to occur during a recession. So Obama thinks that it is so much better today after receiving the anemic jobs numbers from this past Friday of 80,000 jobs created? Also, he is extending it for one year, just to pander for votes in the upcoming 2012 election? So in other words, elect Barack Obama and there is nothing to stand in his way for him to raise taxes on all Americans as many Democrats want to. If he is so behind this cause, why didn’t he extend them for 5, 10, 15 years? Obama continues to play politics and cause uncertainty.
Obama agrees to extend Bush era tax cuts for all in 2010
In addition, a campaign official said the campaign will “amplify the president’s message on middle-class tax cuts” by hosting a series of events in battleground states all week across the country.
From 2010 when Barack Obama extended the Bush era tax cuts for all … So what changed, does Obama not want to create jobs for the American people?
“That’s the nature of compromise, yielding on something each of us cares about to move forward on what all of us care about,” he said. “And right now, what all of us care about is growing the American economy and creating jobs for the American people.”
From the Wall Street Journal:
President Barack Obama will propose a one-year extension of the Bush-era tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000 today, an effort to shift the conversation away from the sagging economy and onto ground of tax fairness, which Mr. Obama prefers.
His campaign will amplify the message with a series of battleground state events this week.
Obama calls for 1 year extension, a year???
On Monday, Mr. Obama will appear in the East Room, surrounded by people who would benefit from the extension, an administration official said. It’s another display of the power of incumbency, whereby a president can command attention for his ideas in grand surroundings not available to his challenger.
Mr. Obama will make the same case on a campaign trip Tuesday to Iowa.
Mr. Obama has long supported a permanent extension of Bush-era tax cuts for families earning less than $250,000, and has called for those aiding wealthier families to expire. But Monday’s event marks the first time Mr. Obama will specifically call for a one-year extension for the lower earning group, a nod toward the desire to do something in the short run to create more certainty in an uncertain economic climate.
