Gallup: Barack Obama’s 2008 White Base Shows Cracks … Down 5 Points … Obama Trending Down with Jews & Union Membership as Well

Even more bad polling data for President Barack Obama …

The latest Gallup poll shows that Barack Obama has a problem with his White base in 2012.As Obama plays class and race warfare in the 2012 election, the dirty little secret is that it was “white” America that voted Obama into office. However, that was then and this is now. Polls show that Obama is down 6% with non-Hispanic whites and even down 4% with non-Hispanic blacks. What is rather remarkable is that Obama is trending down with pretty much every demographic in 2012 as compared to 2008.

Gallup Daily tracking indicates Barack Obama is receiving less support in the 2012 presidential election from some of the white subgroups that gave him the strongest support in 2008. These include non-Hispanic white registered voters who are 18 to 29 years old, female postgrads, and the nonreligious, among others.

Gallup Poll

Obama Down Five Percentage Points Among All Voters

The 46% of registered voters supporting Obama today is five percentage points below the 51% supporting him in final weeks of the 2008 election campaign. Similarly, whites’ support for Obama is six points lower than it was in October/November 2008 (38% vs. 44%), and blacks’ is down four points (87% vs. 91%). At the same time, Hispanics’ support, at 67%, is essentially unchanged.

Whites make up about three-quarters of all U.S. registered voters, and are therefore the most important racial or ethnic group in any election, at least mathematically.

As Weasel Zippers aptly states, Alternate headline: “Crackers Cracking”. I guess those 5% that no longer will vote for Obama in 2012 will now be branded racists.

Heck, add Jewish voters in New York who are abandoning Obama as well.  Obama, the most informed President when it comes to Judaism just dropped 22 points in a recent Siena College poll.  Wait, there is more. With the constant slaps in the face of Israel, it is a wonder how it has not fallen further. Could it be true, is it as Legal Insurrection says, could the NY Israelite be breaking the political chains of bondage?

President Obama’s support among Jewish voters in the state of New York has dropped 22 percentage points in only a month, according to the results of a just released poll.

The poll, conducted by Siena College, finds that currently President Obama has the support of 51 percent of Jewish voters, while 43 percent are opposed to him. Five percent are undecided

And there is even more … union membership support is down for Obama as well. According to the Gallup poll, 35% would vote for Romney instead of Obama.

In the most significant, Gallup found that union member support for the president is weaker than it was on Election Day. While Obama took 67 of the union vote, according to 2008 election night polling by Peter Hart for the AFL-CIO, Gallup discovered that just 58 percent of union members back the president now. Some 35 percent support Mitt Romney, 5 percent more than Sen. John McCain won in 2008.

One would think that in the 18 to 29 year old age group the support would have collapsed to less than thirty percent. This is the age group that has been hurt the most by the falling economy.

Then, this is also the least experienced age group so they may still hold out hope that things would improve if Barry is given another chance.
      Dreams sometimes die hard.

faith in Obama is a complete waste of time. today’s young people have no values beyond wanting something for nothing.
