ABC/WAPO Poll Uses Questionable Sample to Have Obama Lead Romney 49% to 46% … Under Samples GOP by 10% … NBC/WSJ Skewed Sample as Well

All polls are not created equal … in fact some are just plain disingenuous.

The most recent ABC/Washington Post poll has President Barack Obama ahead of GOP challenger Mitt Romney, 49% to 46%. Good news for Obama, right? Well, if you like faux polls it is. When will the liberal MSM ever learn that falsifying poll results serves no purpose on election day? The WAPO goes on to say that Obama and Romney are in a dead heat on the economy, Really?

The parity on economic issues foreshadows what probably will continue to be a tough and negative campaign. Overall, voters would be split 49 percent for Obama and 46 percent for Romney if the November election were held now. On handling the economy, they are tied at 47 percent.

Despite flare-ups over issues including contraception and same-sex marriage, more than half of all Americans cite the economy as the one concern that will decide their vote in the fall, relegating others — such as health care, taxes and the federal deficit — to single-digit status.

Voters are evenly divided between Obama and Romney on the question of who could kick-start the economy and also are split on job creation, with 46 percent siding with the president and 45 percent with Romney.

OK, let’s go inside the sampling polling numbers. The full results of the poll can be seen HERE.

The ABC/WAPO poll used the following model sampling: Democrat 32%, Republican 22% and Independents 38%. The exit polling in the 2008 Presidential election was Democrat 39%, Republican 32% and Independents 29%. However, there was a huge change in the 2010 election as Democrats and Obama took a shellacking. Interestingly enough, 2010 exit polling had those voting at Democrat 35%, Republican 35% and Independents 29%.  So the trend is moving to be even rather than Democrats with a large sampling lead. However, that did not stop the WAPO and ABC to use an overinflated Democrat sample to give Obama a more than questionable poll results. The poll over-sampled Democrats to Republicans by 10%, yet Obama only leads Romney by 3%.

Oh, but wait another poll with a skewed sampling. This time it is the NBC/WSJ poll that has Obama and Romney locked in a tight contest, 47% to 43%. The folks that Hot Air point out the sampling irregularity similar to the poll referenced above stating, “The new poll: 44D/36R/16I. The spread between Democrats and Republicans has increased by four points since April — and yet O’s lead over Romney has shrunk by two points. Hmmmm.” Once again we are witness to a fabricated poll to give Obama a faux poll lead.

Despite a volatile and eventful past few weeks in the early presidential contest, President Barack Obama continues to hold a small – and slightly narrowing – lead over Mitt Romney, according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

“Obama’s chances for re-election … are no better than 50-50,” says Democratic pollster Peter D. Hart, who conducted this survey with Republican Bill McInturff.

Imagine what poll results would look like if they actually used a reasonable sample? The liberal MSM will stop at nothing to get Obama elected including providing a false impression of what America really thinks of Obama. With a failed economic policy, out of control record debt, record number of people leaving the work force and record number of Americans on food stamps, would it really be unheard of for Obama to lose badly in 2012?

The poll was Random adults; that is how the cookie crumbled; It would be invalid statistics to keep polling until a preconceived ratio of answers was obtained. When your sample size is 1000 people, you have to expect swings.

Also not the answers to conservative vs. liberal and you start to see the numbers that you want to see.

I think that, in 2010, you had a lot of Democrats voting for republican challengers (throw the bums out); but that wouldn’t result in the change of ideology that would carry over years later.

      Another interesting article:

      http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/05/25/mitt-romney-s-new-bff-donald-trump.html

If you are going to have a self-made Billionare in your corner, Trump is quite influential and not ever one to mince his words. I kinda’ like the guy even though sometimes he is a little much. One of my favorite things he ever said during his fued with a TV Personality was about Rosie O’Donnell: “Rosie is a Pig”. Anyway, Trump has a remarkable life story and I am glad he will be helping Romney with some fundraising.
