NAACP Caves on Blacks to Back Obama’s Endorsement on Gay Marriage
Doesn’t this reek of the AARP and the AMA supporting Obamacare over the opinions and views of the elderly and doctors?
The NAACP sells its soul and out its peeps in order to back Barack Obama and his endorsement of gay marriage. A hue & cry went through out the black community and the black churches following Barack Obama’s endorsement of gay marriage. make no mistake about it, the black community does not support gay marriage and if asked, they will say yes only not to go against their leader, Barack Obama. As the Gateway Pundit states, these far Left lapdogs will stop at nothing to support Obama.
The board of the NAACP, one of the nation’s oldest and largest African American advocacy organizations, has passed a resolution supporting gay marriage in the wake of President Obama’s public endorsement of same-sex unions.
“The mission of the NAACP has always been to ensure the political, social and economic equality of all people,” board chair Roslyn M. Brock said in a statement following passage of the resolution on Saturday. “We have and will oppose efforts to codify discrimination into law.”
The chairman emeritus, Julian Bond, had already pledged his support earlier this week as part of a coalition of black leaders trying to tamp down speculation that Obama’s support of gay marriage would divide the black community.
The question was asked via RCP, Will Gay Marriage Force Black Churches to Reconsider Democratic Party? Recent polls shows that their is more acceptance in the black community of gay marriage, but why? Is it really because the black community is more accepting or is it because the first black President has forced their hand? However, polls in NC strongly show that blacks are against gay marriage. The issue that will play out in 2012 is how Obama’s and now the NAACP’s endorsement of gay marriage will play in battleground states. I will be very interested in seeing what these poll numbers look like with the black community once Obama is sent packing and no longer President.
From the NAACP. Gay marriage a civil right? Really? This will come back to bite Democrats and the NAACP. At some point blacks will wake up and realize that they are just being used by these organizations and being taken for granted.
“Civil marriage is a civil right and a matter of civil law. The NAACP’s support for marriage equality is deeply rooted in the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution and equal protection of all people,” added the civil-rights group’s President and CEO Benjamin Todd Jealous.
UPDATE I: From the Monkey Cage comes the question, “If Same-Sex Marriage Is so Popular, Why Does It Always Lose at the Ballot Box?” Also, at US News they report, “State by State, Americans Don’t Want Gay Marriage”. We all know that for the most part the black community is against gay marriage more than white America. So, who do you want to believe an Obama biased poll where blacks feel that they must support Obama at all cost, or actual votes that have played out across America?
President Obama’s embrace of gay marriage will help ensure he becomes a one-term president. Despite what many in the media claim, the American people do not support same-sex marriage. Every time they have voted on marriage—32 states overall—they have voted to preserve traditional marriage.

Another crock of BS, and sadly- these are the times we live in.
Spineless jellyfish.
The NCAA began life with a moral mission. Sadly it is like so many others that have been taken over by those who have an agenda against the American people. The will go along in order to get the funds from the federal government and left wing organizations to keep them alive.
