Actor/comedian Bill Cosby has weighed in on the death of Trayvon Martin and the murder charges against George Zimmerman. Cosby stated that the focus should not be on race, but instead on guns. Hmm, what would Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, the New Black Panther Party and the liberal MSM have to say about that? Yesterday on CNN, Bill Cosby said that they Trayvon Martin tragedy is more about guns than about race. Whether one believes it is even about guns, what is most interesting is that Bill Cosby does not believe this was a hate crime and that Trayvon Martin was not profiles by Zimmerman as the prosecution claims.
Actor and comedian Bill Cosby says the debate over the killing of Trayvon Martin by a neighborhood watch volunteer should be focused on guns, not race.
In an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” aired Sunday, Cosby said calling George Zimmerman a racist doesn’t solve anything. Cosby says the bigger question is what Zimmerman was doing with a gun, and who taught him how to behave with it.
From the CNN interview, “State of the Union” that the Trayvon Martin tragedy is more about guns than race. Bill Cosby said the issue isn’t whether a shooter is racist or not. “If he’s scared to death and not a racist, it’s still a confrontational provoking of something,”

“I’m a person who believes that gun, the gun, all around this United States, when a person has a gun, sometimes their mind clicks that this thing is — it will win arguments and straighten people out,” Cosby tells Candy Crowley. “And then in the wrong hands, in the wrong mind, it’s death, it’s wounding people.”
“I also believe that when you tell me that you’re going to protect the neighborhood that I live in, I don’t want you to have a gun,” Cosby said. “I want you to be able to see something, report it, and get out of the way, because you happen to be a part of the neighborhood. I don’t want you to get hurt. And I don’t want you to hurt anyone.”
Sadly, those who have made racist and using the race card a cottage industry have done the same with the George Zimmerman shooting of Trayvon Martin. George Zimmerman was arrested and indicted on second degree murder charges; however, Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz stated that the Zimmerman arrest affidavit was irresponsible and unethical.

It IS about guns! Regardless of Cosby’s specific thoughts of
guns, the Regime itself has been seizing on each and every
event (such as this one) to amplify it’s dedication towards
absolute gun control (restriction and confiscation). Fast and
Furious was documented to be a mechanism to that end as
well. An armed population is difficult to force into submission
to totalitarian rule.
One only need to look at Chicago, NY & LA to see what happens when they take legal guns away. Criminal rule. They never care about licenses.
Those law abiding citizens have been handicapped
and they are being cut down in the streets.

SM: You will never get rid of the guns, there are too many law abiding citizens who have and use them, Let alone that little second amendment issue. The only way to deal with issue is make mandatory sentences with teeth for those convicted of gun crimes.

Correct. This is what I have been saying all along. Also, how was it that Martin was singled out? Because he was a male teenager in a place that someone thought he shouldn’t be.

SM: Zimmerman was profiling …
There is nothing wrong with profiling, law enforcement does that every day. What is wrong is racial profiling. Zimmerman was not following this guy because he was a certain color. he did so because the guy (Martin) was acting suspiciously and multiple robberies had taken place in the neighborhood. It was the 911 operator that asked what color the suspect was.
We profile every day … there is nothing wrong with that, ask the FBI.

Bill is right, now it is about guns last week it was about race until it blew up in the libs face when they couldn’t white wash zimmerman.
I agree sometimes profiling has to be done. Example is Arizona. If illegal aliens are there 1 for every 2 American citizens, it would be foolish to pull over a lily white blonde lady in a Volvo to make sure she is a citizen compared to someone of CLEARLY Mexican descent running nearby the boarder. Of course, guess now I’m a racist…right?
