Exploitation of Trayvon Martin: NBC Claims that Edited George Zimmerman 9-11 Audio was a “Mistake Not Deliberate”

MISTAKE???

NBC has been caught in a huge media scandal in covering the death Trayvon Martin. NBC allowed a deceptive and edited tape go to air that implied that George Zimmerman was racially profiling Martin and providing the assumption that because he was black, that is why he was suspicious. However, NBC was caught red handed and had to admit that the tape was edited from the original 9-11 transcript. Last week NBC fired a producer in response to the scandal.

Now NBC is saying that the edited George Zimmerman tape was a “mistake, not deliberate”. Seriously? As stated at Weasel Zippers, if you believe this one, then they have a bridge to sell you in Brooklyn. We might also have some swamp land in Florida as well.

NBC News’ decision to air an edited call from George Zimmerman to police in the moments before he shot Trayvon Martin was “a mistake and not a deliberate act to misrepresent the phone call,” according to the president of the network’s news division.

Capus confirmed a previous Reuters report that an internal network investigation had determined that a producer made the editing error, and that the network’s editorial controls – including senior broadcast producer oversight, script editors and often legal and standards department reviews of sensitive material to be broadcast – simply missed the selective editing of the phone call.

Two sources at the network told Reuters the Miami-based producer of the segment had been fired on Thursday.

Capus said “several people” involved were disciplined, though he declined to specify the nature of the disciplinary actions, saying they were internal personnel matters.

A mistake, really? Is that your final answer? Sorry, but there is no way that the audio segment could have gone through so many individual checks and it be a mistake. When was the last time that a media outlet did not play a 9-11 call in its entirety? Who edits out the 9-11 dispatchers questions and tried to make the public think that an individual is making a complete sentence? Sorry, that is deliberate.

However, what else do we think that NBC is going to say? If they state it was deliberate they would be facing a most certain lawsuit from George Zimmerman and lose whatever media credibility they have left. NBC’s actions fanned the flames of racism in the death of Trayvon Martin and provided a narrative that Zimmerman was a racist. Then MSNBC and show host Al Sharpton jumped on the opportunity and began covering the story. Yea, do any of us really wonder why NBC is calling this a so-called mistake?

As they say at “Just One Minute” … The BS truly does run deep at MSNBC.

In this case, the “JURY” is the potential
300 million or so citizens of our Country
eager for accurate evidence of current events.
IMHO, the so called ‘news’ outlet is attempting
to sway the “JURY” with altered evidence.

The media and Obama made Zimmerman look like a monster and a racist, which he wasn’t either. A $10,000 bounty on him for dead or alive. Obama caused that. Again he opened his big mouth when he shouldn’t of.

oh, i know, it was George Bush’s fault that the editor was promoting race baiting.

Anyone that believes MSNBC’S BS also believes the world could be flat.

This whole episode is a liberal contrivance to make the blacks mad so they will vote for Barry. MSNBC is just contributing its share to the false story. Truth? They have none.

      @brie…Obama caused it????

#6-Dolf—Brie is a tad bit warped in the head as is our current President.

Obama’s comments about Zimmerman didn’t help at all either which further contributes to his urge to be divisive. Obama did not cause a $10,000 bounty to be placed on Zimmerman’s head either.

Let’s be clear about this, Dolf. In my opinion only, GZ was in fact, racially profiling Trayvon Martin the night he was killed.

Was it in self defense, however? Did Trayvon Martin use physical force against Zimmerman. In this Country, I would still like to have faith in our criminal Justice System.

Zimmerman, is at current, a very frightened individual. He won’t even contact his Attorneys, and as of today, they have quit. I am sorry, but I do find it appalling that he has even used the internet to solicit financial aide.

As for the parents of Trayvon Martin–they are suing the Condo Association where their Son was killed for starters.

I think the whole thing was a terrible accident. While I firmly believe anyone has a right to defend themselves, I also believe that this kid didn’t have to die.

I am also a firm supporter of NRA and our Constitutional Right to Bear Arms. In this case, no one is a “winner.”

Isn’t it funny when some people say you have a problem… only to wind up having THE problem?
When Tyrone Macadamius Scooter Buggy Stank Martin
hit the deck, would be a good example.

He said to George: “Do you have a problem with me? Well, you do now.”

The plot; forever twisting. Zimmerman kind of fixed it for him for pennies on the dollar. Washington DC could use a guy like him!

    9. NGBoston on April 11th, 2012 1:35 pm

#8-Carpe says…..Zimmerman kind of fixed it for him for pennies on the dollar. That is so true!

Look, I also don’t appreciate the MSM trying to make this kid look like a frickken Choir Boy when the story first hit the airwaves also. Let’s be clear. He wasn’t.

However- it really is pretty alarming to think that in this day and age, a grown ass Man simply couldn’t have knocked the kids lights out if Trayvon had gotten physical with him and called it a day.

IMOO, Zimmerman had every right to question the Teen for walking around- but HOW far is too far? I think Zimmerman panicked when the kid fought back (who in fairness, was probably frightened himself since he knew he was being followed) and perhaps Martin did gesture in a way that Zimmerman thought he was going to go for his gun. Still?

He killed the kid. Was that really necessary force? Again, IMOO- I do not feel it was premeditated in terms of Murder. More like Manslaughter and in a split second, Zimmerman made the wrong choice.

Part of the problem with this case will always be that Martin is not alive to give his side of the story.

Zimmerman needs to Man up and come out of hiding. For real, I am pissed off the guy had the gonads to hit the internet and solicit the general public for financial assistance? Are you KIDDING ME?

      @9 NGBoston.

      First:
I admit, if we were allowed to own guns, I would own several.

But, I think its going way overboard.
That FL law is just stupid…if you THINK feel threatned you can shoot somebody??? (so if you would come to me in a threatning manner, I can shoot to kill you).
And in Arizona (?) your allowed to go into a bar with a concealed weapon? Cause thats good? young males with alcohol and guns?

    12. NGBoston on April 13th, 2012 11:10 am

#11-Dolf. Yes, the Stand Your Ground Law is certainly controversial.

And, I’m sorry to say this about the State of Florida, but for certain parts of it, I can almost see where it would be necessary. Again, sorry but especially in some of the Orlando areas.

I will agree that Zimmerman HIMSELF went way overboard in taking the law into his own hands.

I still don’t think he is a Racist, the ridiculous MSM media and other Race Baiters can fan the flames all they want. It’s bullshit.

This Crime is the case of an INEXPERIENCED WANNA BE BARNEY-FIFE who PROFILED a MALE TEENAGER to be a “Suspicious Person; someone who may be about to Commit a Crime”.

His own words on the 911 Tape ” These As*holes always get away”. He didn’t say, these Black, White, Asian or Spanish assholes- just lumping all Teens walking around as “Assholes” and those capable of committing crimes.

Come on Now, George. You messed up. Big Time. This Kid didn’t have to die!
