Mitt Romney Tells Far Left Heckler Who Wants Free Birth Control Where to Go …: “If You’re Looking For Free Stuff, Vote Obama

Way to go Mitt Romney … It would appear that Romney has taken the mittens gloves off and takes the offensive against a Far Left Loon.

Romney tells the lunatic LEFTIST …  “If you’re looking for free stuff you don’t have to pay for, vote for the other guy.” NICE!!! Finally Mitt Romney is getting it. Open up Mitt, be yourself and you will do wonders to win so many over and win the GOP nomination.  The Republican party, Conservatives and Independents want someone with some gusto and is not afraid to mince words.

From FOX NATION:

Question from woman in Peoria, Illinois: “So you’re all for like, ‘yay, freedom,’ and all this stuff. And ‘yay, like pursuit of happiness.’ You know what would make me happy? Free birth control.”

Romney: “You know, let me tell you, no no, look, look let me tell you something. If you’re looking for free stuff you don’t have to pay for, vote for the other guy. That’s what he’s all about, okay? That’s not, that’s not what I’m about.”

if she pays insurance and/or taxes it wouldn’t be free.

and how do you women feel about the whole debat by men about women rights?

It is not up to her or the State to dictate what a company does or does not cover. That is a business decision. Some insurance companies do cover birth control, others don’t. However, that does not mean that if an insurance company suddenly decided to cover it that premiums would not go up.

Trust me, this girl was so clueless she could not understand much, thus why she votes for Obama.

First off, she’s a loon if she want “free birth control”. Its never free. But you all know that.

“It is not up to her or the State to dictate what a company does or does not cover. That is a business decision.”

I would agree with you *if* the system were set up into groups like it is today. As it is, most non-medicare-types get their insurance from their employer, and these plans are taxpayer supported in the sense that your medical premiums are tax deductible. This, and existing-condition exclusions, makes getting an individual plan impossible for most people.

I don’t have diabetes. But I drink way too much soda, and though I am not obese I am not within healthy weight standards either. So really, I know I am at risk, so if I get diabetes then one could argue its my own fault…why should “someone else” pay for my care?

Don’t buy that argument? How about smoking-related illnesses. Smoking is a choice. My premiums would probably go way down if my policy didn’t cover smoking-related illnesses. Should they start offering plans that don’t cover this?
      ____________
SM: They do offer discounts on insurance plans for non-smokers and health life.

Don’t get me wrong, I think insurance companies would be smart to cover preventative care; however, I in no way condone the GOVT saying they must. Little by little carriers are covering things to nip issues in the bud. I have dealt with insurance as a health care consultant for 20+ years.

what kind of birth control are we talking about exactly?

the pill or the others too?

the pill is insured here (NL), condoms and the others not
cause thats what I am missing in the discussion. STD prevention.

Typically they are talking about “the Pill” and the variants of the pill, like there are now patches and shots.

I would think things like having the tubes clamped off would also be an issue; though I would guess that far more plans would cover that than “The Pill”, as in the US prescription coverage is managed separately from doctor coverage (which is maddeningly frustrating when the two don’t cooperate)

so how does it work in the US?

here a girl goes to a doctor first.
then gets a receipe, goes to the pharmacy and gets the pills.

Those pills can really do damage too, all the girls I know are off it due to health issues (or because they wanted to have kids…different health issue)

I am 47. Since I was a teenager in high school birth control has been free or nearly free at ANY local health clinic.

Yes, I have private insurance and had myself “fixed” years ago, but my daughter who is married and 28 (with insurance) found it was cheaper to pay the measley $12 for 3 months supply at the local clinic than pay through insurance. Birth control is NOT expensive. Only reason she had to pay at all is because she works. If you don’t, it’s basically free anyway.

well I would want ppl without money/ jobs to get it free.
They have to much time to breed and no money to afford kids.
