Davy Jones of the Monkees Dies at Age 66 … Rest in Peace

HEY, HEY HE WAS ONE OF THE ORIGINAL MONKEES … REST IN PEACE DAY JONES.

Davy Jones, one of the original teen boy band heart throbs and distant “Monkee” relative has passed away in Florida at the age of 66. The lead man of the iconic 1960′s band the Monkees died of an apparent massive heart attack. The front man of the Monkees, that included Peter Tork, Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith, sang lead on some of the group’s biggest hits, including Daydream Believer, which reached No. 1 on the charts. Davy Jones was born December 30, 1945, in Manchester, England and become a 60′s heartthrob with his long hair and British accent.  Davy Jones is survived by his wife Jessica and four daughters.

Jones, lead singer of the 1960s group that was assembled as an American version of The Beatles, died of a massive heart attack in Indiantown, where he lived, his publicist Helen Kensick said.

Jones, 66, had complained he wasn’t feeling well earlier in the morning. Fire-rescue personnel responded, taking him to Martin Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The passing of Davy Jones really hits home and reminds me of my childhood and days gone by.  Oh how I remember as a kid watching the Monkees TV show and my sisters would have Davy’s pic on their bedroom walls. Talk about a simpler time and when TV was not filled with reality TV, but more upbeat and fun TV. Check out more of the life and times of Davy Jones. GOP Presidential Primary: Mitt Romney Sweeps Night, Victorious in Michigan and Arizona

ROMNEY WINS MICHIGAN AND ARIZONA PRIMARIES …

What was touted by many political pundits as a potential nightmare evening for Mitt Romney, in the end Romney won the primaries in both Michigan and Arizona. It was a runaway victory in Arizona; however, Michigan was a much closer race. But was it?Romney topped Santorum in AZ, 47% to 26%. Romney’s victory in Michigan over Santorum was a much closer tally at a 41% to 38% margin. But was it really that close in Michigan? Not really, as Democrats who voted in the GOP primary went for Santorum heavily. There is no way these folks would ever vote for a Republican against the GOP Presidential candidate.

Romney wins Michigan and Arizona by this much …

The victory by Mr. Romney in Arizona, which awarded him the state’s entire allotment of 29 delegates, was overshadowed by the battle in Michigan. He prevailed in the statewide popular vote by four percentage points, relying on large margins in the counties around Detroit where he spent his childhood, but the fight for delegates was closer.

Michigan awards its 30 delegates by Congressional district, which meant Mr. Santorum would either leave Michigan with nearly the same number as Mr. Romney or only slightly fewer. Mr. Santorum beamed when he took the stage before a cheering crowd in Grand Rapids and reminded his supporters of how far he had come.

Exit polls in Michigan say …

Just curious, if Obama won a state by a close margin, after having won so many in 2008 by a large margin … would the liberal MSM call the victory ugly? Of course not. If any one made such a comment, the liberal press would be posting articles that the GOP called Obama ugly.

In the end, a wins is a win and its onto the next state …

Barack Obama’s Shovel Ready Projects … GITMO Terrorists Get $750,000 Soccer Field

Is GITMO a prison or summer camp for terrorists?

The federal debt is at an out of control $1 trillion, yet that does not stop the feds from continuing to waste even more money. GITMO terrorists get $750,000 soccer field. May I ask who actually provides the stamp of approval on such ridiculous and wasteful projects to the American tax payers? Add this to the list of Obama’s “shovel ready” projects.

At a time of record deficits, a new soccer field for detainees at Camp 6 in Guantanamo Bay is just getting the finishing touches — at a cost of $750,000 to taxpayers.

The project was the highlight of a tour Tuesday of the detention camp for reporters at the facility covering the arraignment in a military court of Majid Khan, a former Baltimore resident and the the only legal U.S. resident on trial at Guantanamo.

The project began in April 2011 and is due to finish this spring. The detainees will now have three recreation facilities at Camp 6, which is home to “highly compliant” detainees who live in a communal setting.

In addition to an indoor recreation field and the existing outdoor recreation field, the new soccer field — selected because it is such a popular sport with detainees — is half the size of an American football field.

Louis Farrakhan Deals Up the Race Card, Again … Warns of Racial Hatred that could Lead to attempts to kill President Obama

The Race Card and Hate from Louis Farrakhan …

Who is really tired of the race card? This is all the LEFT and the race baiters like Minister Louis Farrakhan have left when it comes to Obama. After all, it is not like Barack Obama can run on his record. Instead those that have been causing dissent between the races for years like Louis Farrakhan now warn that racial hatred could lead to an assassination attempt.

In a fiery lecture to thousands of followers of the Nation of Islam on Sunday in Chicago, Minister Louis Farrakhan warned that racial hatred could lead to attempts to assassinate President Barack Obama.

Farrakhan spent much of his oration decrying what he cast as Satan’s influence over racist forces in politics and society before asking a pointed rhetorical question: “Do you think they’re wicked enough to be plotting our brother’s assassination as we speak?”

Then again, its not like Obama does not use the race card at the drop of a hat. So now we have African Americans for Obama. Really Mr. President? Imagine if we had Whites for Romney or Santorum … oh that would go over well with the MSM. So this is the “hope & change” that America was promised. Interestingly enough most people like Obama as a person, its his radical Left and socialist policies that they can’t stand. When it comes to hate, Farrakhan need to look no further than the mirror.

Farrakhan drew a distinction between noble Jews and followers of “the synagogue of Satan,” and he pointed to a recent incident in which the publisher of a Jewish magazine suggested Israeli security forces could help preserve Israel by killing Obama. He attacked Israeli policies, while also directing criticism at perceived Jewish influence in the U.S.

“Jewish people were not the origin of Hollywood, but they took it over,” he said, blaming the entertainment industry for degrading the country’s morality.

Hmm, isn’t it Hollywood where Obama has his high priced fund raisers?
