Girl Scouts of USA Dump Far Left Media Matters for Links to Media Bias

Girl Scouts dump Media Matters … I can but Thin Mints, Do-Si-Dos and Samoas again!!!

Under extreme pressure and national attention, the Girl Scouts of the USA have decided to no longer tell Girl Scouts to no longer go to uber-Lib website Media Matters to learn about media bias. Needless to say, the Girl Scouts organization got an ear full and their emails were swamped by irate individuals who learned that the Girl Scouts were telling 6th through 8th grade girls to refer to Media Matters, a far Left and bias website. In the future, the Girl Scouts org might want to consider the source themselves before making policy.

Girl Scouts constantly reviews our materials based on feedback and suggestions we receive from our members and we update our materials on a regular basis,” said the statement. “As a result of this process, upcoming reprints of journeys materials will not include links to Media Matters.”

One question still remains … how liberal have the Girl Scouts of America become if they allowed the Media Matters issue in the first place? Who could ever have thought Media Matters was appropriate and not a far Left website?  The Girl Scouts only reversed this policy because of public outcry and negative PR, I guarantee the hierarchy thought there was no issue with their initial stance. These folks have obviously lurched to the LEFT, how unfortunate that they would ruin what should be a middle of the road, non-political organization for kids. Instead, the LEFT is looking to indoctrinate young girls under the guise of Thin Mints.

Despite Obama Endorsed Occupy Protesters, Socialism Looked Upon as Negative by 60% of Americans

Occupy protesters  … THEY ARE THE 31%!!!

According to the Pew Research Center, not even the Barack Obama endorsed Occupy protesters can change the fact that Americans look upon socialism as negative and capitalism positive. Even with all of Obama’s rhetoric and railing against capitalism (VIDEO), he loses the battle.  Socialism was looked upon negative by 60% and favorable by only 31%. Meanwhile, capitalism had a 50% positive rating and a 40% negative one.

The recent Occupy Wall Street protests have focused public attention on what organizers see as the excesses of America’s free market system, but perceptions of capitalism – and even of socialism – have changed little since early 2010 despite the recent tumult.

The American public’s take on capitalism remains mixed, with just slightly more saying they have a positive (50%) than a negative (40%) reaction to the term. That’s largely unchanged from a 52% to 37% balance of opinion in April 2010.

Socialism is a negative for most Americans, but certainly not all. Six-in-ten (60%) say they have a negative reaction to the word; 31% have a positive reaction. Those numbers are little changed from when the question was last asked in April 2010.

As stated at Weasel Zippers, looks like Newsweek was wrong, we are all not socialist now. Imagine that, Newsweek was wrong again.

Medical Examiner Dr. G Speaks Out Regarding the Casey Anthony Murder Trial and the Death (Homicide) of Caylee Anthony

”We’ll never know what happened until the perpetrator states what happened.”

This morning on NBC’s Today Show medical examiner Dr. G.,  Dr. Jan Garavaglia, discussed the trial of Casey Anthony and the issues that hampered the case against Casey Anthony and the lack of justice in the  “homicide” of little Caylee Anthony. Six months after Casey Anthony was found, “not guilty”, Dr. G explains what happened.

Dr. G. defended her position that the death of Caylee Anthony was a homicide of undetermined means. Dr G. stated that, “My job is not to determine who did it. My job is to determine what happened.”

Six months after the disappearance of Caylee, with only skeletonized remains, hair, duct tape and a few weathered objects to work with, Garavaglia concluded that “the cause of death will be listed as homicide by undetermined means.”

It was Garavaglia’s determination that allowed prosecutors to move forward and charge Anthony with murder, but many believe the “undetermined means” part of that also allowed the jury to return a verdict of not guilty.

Dr. G will be having a TV special, ”Dr G: Inside the Caylee Anthony Case,” on Sunday on TLC  that will go into the forensic evidence and review aspects of the case that they jury obviously missed. Granted she admits that the delay in finding Caylee’s body and the willful and purposeful hiding of the body caused issues in not being able to get for evidence from the recovered remains. Dr. G. stated that she is not making any money from this, “First of all, I’m not making a penny off of it.  I never wanted to. Anything I make from that show, because it’s part of my regular series, will go to children’s charities.”

“Well, obviously we always have to look at the last person who was seen with the child — the person who is legally, morally, ethically responsible for the child,” she said, alluding to Caylee’s mother. “What stories do they give? What happened? We never did get anything from (Casey) on what happened. Yet we found (Caylee) with duct tape, discarded in the woods. That tells a lot.”

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez Says US Behind his Cancer … Well Alrighty Then

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has come up with a new conspiracy, the US is behind his bout with cancer and those around who have allied themselves with the South American dictator. Well alrighty then, just when Chavez was beginning to say some things that made sense, along comes this whopper.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez hinted that the U.S. may be behind a “very strange” bout of cancer affecting several leaders aligned with him in South America.

Chavez, speaking a day after Argentine President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner was diagnosed with thyroid cancer, said the Central Intelligence Agency was behind chemical experiments in Guatemala in the 1940s and that it’s possible that in years to come a plot will be uncovered that shows the U.S. spread cancer as a political weapon against its critics.

So Chavez blames the US for cancer. Maybe these folks might want to blame socialized medicine and the lack thereof of proper medical care. I would tend to agree with the American Thinker, when it comes to trying to inject an individual with cancer cells and the probability of that person actually contracting cancer. If you can get that closed to a crazed dictator, you would most likley inject them with air and create an embolism or some other toxic serum rather than taking the chance of  them contract cancer.

Chavez, who was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer in June and had a baseball-sized tumor removed in Cuba, has called for a regional summit of leaders who have battled cancer including Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva and Paraguay’s Fernando Lugo.

“I’m just sharing my thoughts, but it’s very, very, very strange,” Chavez said. “Evo take care of yourself, Correa, be careful, we just don’t know,” he said, referring to Evo Morales and Rafael Correa, the leaders of Bolivia and Ecuador.

Rasmussen Election 2012: Romney 45% Jumps into Lead Over Obama 39%

Hypothetical match up, Obama now trails Romney …

Talk about a reversal of fortune. According to the most recent Rasmussen poll, Mitt Romney has jumped ahead of Obama and has his biggest lead over the “The One”, 45% to 39%. Just last week Romney trailed Obama 44% to 41%. What has to be most concerning for Barack Obama is that an incumbent president is polling under 40%. Normally it is an issue if an incumbent polls under 50%, but under 40% is a disaster.

Romney’s lead over Obama has grown by this much

Mitt Romney has now jumped to his biggest lead ever over President Obama in a hypothetical Election 2012 matchup. It’s also the biggest lead a named Republican candidate has held over the incumbent in Rasmussen Reports surveying to date.

The latest national telephone survey finds that 45% of Likely U.S. Voters favor the former Massachusetts governor, while 39% prefer the president. Ten percent (10%) like some other candidate in the race, and six percent (6%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

Presently in the Rasmussen polls, Obama has a 45%-55%, approval/disapproval for his job approval rating. Meanwhile 72% think the country is headed in the wrong direction, while only 22% think the country is headed in the right direction.
