Oh Canada, Take Off, Eh … Canada to Pull Out of Kyoto Protocol Next Month
Canada and its Conservative government to pull out of the Kyoto Protocol, eh. With as hypocritical as the Kyoto Protocol is in not applying any standards to China, India and Brazil, how could anyone with a straight face think that Kyoto is beneficial?
Canada will announce next month that it will formally withdraw from the Kyoto Protocol, CTV News has learned.
The Harper government has tentatively planned an announcement for a few days before Christmas, CTV’s Roger Smith reported Sunday evening.
The developments come as Environment Minister Peter Kent prepares for a climate conference in Durban, South Africa that opens on Monday, with delegates from 190 countries seeking a new international agreement for cutting emissions.
The Greenies and environmental critics in the Great White North go mental …
Green Party Leader Elizabeth May called the move “a very damaging act of sabotage.”
“It will reverberate around the world,” May told CTV. “Canada will be a pariah globally if it goes through with this.”
The accord is set to expire next year.
Syracuse Sex Scandal: Third Accuser Comes Forward with Sexual Abuse Allegations Against Asst Syracuse Basketball Coach Bernie Fine
NOT A VERY GOOD WEEKEND AT BERNIE’S …
First the weekend began with assistant Syracuse Orangeman basketball coach Bernie Fine had his home searched by the police and the US Secret Service. Now we learn that a third accuser has come forward and made allegations of sexual abuse against Bernie Fine.
A third accuser has come forward claiming Syracuse University associate head basketball coach Bernie Fine sexually abused him as a child, the Syracuse Post-Standard reported Sunday.
The newest accusation prompted police to search Fine’s home on Friday, according to the newspaper.
Zach Tomaselli, 23, of Lewiston, Maine, told police last week that he was molested by Fine when he was 13 years-old inside a Pittsburgh hotel room in 2002, the night before Syracuse’s game against the University of Pittsburgh.
However, these accusations by Tomaselli seem a bit slim when one considers that he is presently facing his own sexual assault charges in Maine with a 14 year old boy. Also, Tomaselli says that no one witnessed his alleged abuses and that he had no physical evidence to support his claim. In other words, it is pure allegations with no substance. However, it was enough for the feds to search Fine’s home.
Tomaselli, who is reportedly facing sexual assault charges in Maine involving a 14-year-old boy, said he signed a police affidavit Wednesday.
Tomaselli said no one witnessed the alleged abuse and that he has no physical evidence to support his claim. His estranged father, Fred Tomaselli, claims his son is lying.
But the allegations were enough to prompt a police search of Fine’s home for more than seven hours Friday, the newspaper reports, with the U.S. Secret Service, Syracuse Police and New York State Police involved. Authorities took photographs, looked through trash cans and removed three filing cabinets from the 65-year-old’s home.
What a sketchy, sordid affair.

Classless … Occupy Dallas Fools Throw Fake Blood on Neiman Marcus Windows
Just in case any of you were still confused whether the Tea Party was anything like the Occupy protesters, exhibit 752 …
The classless fools of Occupy Dallas showed their true colors in throwing fake blood on the windows of Neiman Marcus. Because we all know that the Tea Party would have done the same, NOT! Wow, you showed them OWS. What a statement you made. What’s next taping “Occupy Me” signs to the walls? Photos of the Occupy thug life vandalism can be seen at Hot Air Pundit.
A few minutes ago, Occupy Dallas posted to its Facebook page a note that two of its former members — which is to say, the group of protesters who split the camp before Dallas Police broke it up last week — were arrested for decorating the downtown Neiman Marcus with a little fake blood. We’re trying to confirm the arrests with DPD, but as you can see from Leslie’s freshly snapped photo, yup, some of its holiday windows are now a little less festive.
Dallas Police Department spokesman Sherri Jeffrey confirms that “two people were arrested for criminal mischief.”

Much to the Dismay of OWS Protester Boycotts, Black Friday Sales Rise to Record 6.6%
The Occupy Wall Street protesters lose again. OWS called for boycotts and Americans responded with Buycotts.
Much to the OWS dismay, Black Friday sales increased by a record 6.6%. As the OWS protesters tried to prevent Americans from going to businesses like WalMart and Best Buy, Americans provided their own “Freedom of Speech” and spoke with their wallets.
Despite 9% unemployment, more Americans below the poverty level, record number on food stamps, 17% believing the country is headed in the right direction and only 8% rating the US economy as good or excellent, 152 million people came together to spend $11.4 billion on Black Friday. Granted, this is only one day … but it is better than the alternative.
Black Friday sales increased 6.6 percent to the largest amount ever as U.S. consumers shrugged off 9 percent unemployment and went shopping.
Consumers spent $11.4 billion, ShopperTrak said in a statement yesterday. Foot traffic rose 5.1 percent on Black Friday, according to the Chicago-based research firm.
As many as 152 million people were expected to shop at stores and websites on Black Friday, up 10 percent from last year, the National Retail Federation said. The Washington-based NRF is scheduled to release Thanksgiving weekend sales today.
Sadly, many individuals who went out on Black Friday and purchased items acted in less than an appropriate manner, it is not any less inappropriate or classless than the OWS protesters who failed to convince anyone to boycott Walmart or the other big boys on the block.
President Obama must be caught in the middle and not know what to say? Does he praise the economic spending or say nothing because his endorsed OWS protest movement failed in their efforts?

You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown … The Peanuts Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Provides a Ratings Victory Over Lady Gaga
Let this be a lesson to all TV networks, nothing is better than a nostalgic holiday special like Charlie Brown, Rudolph, Santa Claus is Coming to Town or Heat Miser …
This time it was Lada Gaga who had the football pulled from her at the last minute, not Charlie Brown. The cartoon character who is always known for bad luck, scored a victory over the Thanksgiving Day holiday. The Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Day special scored a ratings victory, even beating Lady Gaga.
All the Thanksgiving specials Thursday night couldn’t hold a candle to a repeat of the CBS comedy, which delivered 11.2 million viewers and a 3.6 adult demo rating. Compare that to ABC’s Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (5.8 million, 1.8) and A Very Gaga Thanksgiving (5.4 million, 1.6 — more on that one here).
Linus even manages to Thank God during the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Day Special (2:48 of VIDEO), which is more than I can say for President Barack Obama, who managed to omit God from his Thanksgiving Day message.
We thank God for our homes and our food and our safety in our new land. We thank God for the opportunity to create a new world with freedom and justice. Amen.
