Missing Missouri Baby Lisa Irwin … 10 Month Old Infant Abducted from Her Crib in Kansas City, MO … Search Continues

10 month old Lisa Irwin has been missing in Kansas City, MO since October 4, 2011. It is believed the infant was abducted from her crib. Initially an Amber Alert was issued on Tuesday for the missing baby; however, it has since been canceled even though the search continues for missing Lisa Irwin. She was last seen at 10:30 PM  on Monday asleep in her crib at her parents’ home.  When Lisa’s father arrived home from work at around 4 AM he went into her room to check on her and discovered she was missing. The family  immediately called police. According to investigators, they saw the window and the screen appeared that it was tampered with.

Kris Ketz with ABC’s Kansas City affiliate KMBC reported late on Tuesday that the K-9′s were finished searching for the night and that the police search will continue Wednesday morning.

Police Capt. Steve Young confirmed that a neighbor said they saw someone walking down the street at night with a baby in a diaper. He confirmed Wednesday in an interview with “Good Morning America” that although that person was reportedly seen walking down the street, the information hasn’t led to any new developments.

Lisa Irwin Description:

describing her as white with blue eyes and blond hair, about 30 inches tall with two bottom teeth, a small bug bite under her left ear and a beauty mark on her right outer thigh. Police said she had a cold with a cough and — when last seen about 10:30 p.m. Monday asleep in her crib — was wearing purple shorts and a purple shirt with white kittens on it.

Authorities should look closely at the Irwins’ ex-spouses.

Was this Infant sold for profit? How does one gain entry into a residence, know exactly where a Toddler is and then kidnap them?

Someone had to have been scoping out the family- or someone involved in the kidnapping knows or is linked to someone directly in the family.

May God watch over little Lisa. This child is alive somewhere, I just feel it.

    3. CC on October 6th, 2011 8:43 am

The person takes the child (apparently entered and exited through the baby’s window) AND takes three cell phones too (supposedly so they couldn’t call 911) Really?? Sadly, sounds too suspicious to me :(
I hope they find this baby safe and sound despite my suspicions!

    4. lori on October 6th, 2011 12:36 pm

To me the whole thing sounds like a setup for someone to take the baby. It’s awful but the only reason I can think of is the selling of the baby.

I too feel something’s fishy about this one…just bizarre. To see photos of the parents, the Mom’s eyes are so swollen from her crying but the Father’s expressionless.

Who’d take 3 cell phones in the process of abducting a baby? That didn’t ring true or make sense to me ~ and how many of us woke up at at an early hour to check our kids without it being from a whimper, or crying (did they hear noise/burgler/baby cry?)sometimes, there are stickers on windows that the Fire Dept. give parents to let them know, in case of fire where a toddler/childs room is located ~

NG, I felt the same as you. Something’s not ringing true here & I pray this little one’s also safe.

forgive my suspicions ~ Tamikosmom, thanks for the link ~ it explained how the Dad works late and arrives home at 4:00 am… to find the home with lights on, etc.

I’m praying that this little one is returned to her family ~ how very, very sad and just unconscionable that someone would do that.

    9. NGBoston on October 7th, 2011 6:52 am

Hi, Kitty~ Not certain what to think at this point…perhaps it was a true abduction. However- the parents are foolish if they do not continue to go over and over a million times anyone they have crossed paths with.

Very perplexing, they are denying reports that they are not cooperating with LE- they just say they have nothing else to tell them.

All I know is I feel this baby is alive- and I hope she is recovered. She very likely could have been taken not only for profit or to be sold- but by someone mentally unbalanced who wants a child and has suffered severe depression from inability of having one, to losing a child themselves. I feel it is one or the other scenario.

I hope the parents stay strong and continue to work with open minds, regardless of their grief. If they give up too easily- that is a red flag for me. The Father just seems in shock- have to say the Mother seems devastated. I feel guilty in my heart for being critical of them if they are innocent. God watch over them and guide them through these difficult days.

Please, Lord- bring this Child home and keep her safe within your loving arms.

    10. kitty on October 7th, 2011 12:20 pm

did someone else do it? or?
mmm… maybe my 1st gut instinct was right afterall?

I’m praying for truth and for that baby, whom I fear is not with us ~ NG, feels it, however, I hope your right New Girl. The PD must have something or else they’d not end the search.

If I recall, the father shared how the lights were on, the front door unlocked ~ do they usually keep an unlocked door? If the screen seemed ‘tampered’ with, investigators could get prints off that, or see if force able entry used or if the person made it look like entry from there and it wasn’t…

If the Mom did fail the test, she may be suffering from psychosis/Post postpartum OCD depressive issues and her hubby would know about that… is she suffering from this? Is she on meds for this?

      still praying…

    11. kitty on October 7th, 2011 9:14 pm

NG I hope that the PD does not end it’s search and they continue uncovering every rock and lead. It’s very sad and I do pray, that that baby is returned SAFE. I’m with you on what you shared and will pray along with you too.

    12. NGBoston on October 8th, 2011 5:54 am

Wow, Kitty—hadn’t realized they were still searching. If so, then you are correct to assume there is a reason for that. That alone saddens me.

While it is common “MO” for LE to keep things close to the chest early on in any investigation—and everyone’s Hinky Meter going off—I will be following this more closely now in the coming days.

Don’t forget to check out SM’s Sister Site- BLINK ON CRIME….hope she covers it. Blink on Crime and The Hinky Meter are my top 2 True Crime Websites. NO BS there, fair and accurate reporting. Blink and Valhall amaze me.

In the meantime, Kitty—we will keep praying for baby Lisa together…wish there was more we could do!

      =/

    13. kitty on October 8th, 2011 8:39 pm

will pray NG ~ and yes, i’ve often reviewed blink…
      praying ~

This is tragic indeed. What I can not help but wonder is first why were all the lights on in the house? I hope the police had considered looking at the husband’s ex as it may have been someone who lived there before. Why take the cell phones? as cell phones can be tracked. I wouldn’t be too quick to blame the mother. Look closely at all those whom were associated with the Irwin’s as this sounds like it maybe someone they both know.

    15. Tonya on October 12th, 2011 5:35 pm

I hope and pray the police continue to question the boys. I believe they would have something that would help but only if they can get them away from the parents.

    16. kitty on October 12th, 2011 8:20 pm

I agree Tonya that her boys need to be questioned and it has to be done very delicately by the professionals or they’ll shut down completely. These boys must be very traumatized by this entire ordeal and what about their welfare? How old are they.

In my other post, I questioned the recent surveillance evidence showing the Mother with an unidentified male having just purchased a bottle of wine & diaper wipes. Now, if she left the store, with this man WITHOUT the baby, where was the baby, and with whom? Was the baby left alone in the household or with a babysitter? Where were her boys at that time? (were the boys ages such that they are in diapers still?) Who had the baby at this time? If you’re purchasing baby wipes, it just doesn’t make sense, why by wipes? Unless you’re going to change her diaper or to transport that child elsewhere? Did she leave that baby at home?, too many questions. If the baby was at home, unattended and the boys were too? wouldn’t she be a charged with child endangerment? (even if the baby was left in the car alone? wouldn’t that be endangerment of a child) Are there witnesses to where his/her car was parked during her shopping spree did anyone see a baby in the car? Any camera’s on the parking lot? Could they see a baby/boys in the car? License plate? Stop/traffic lights/intersections w/cameras? Any camera’s on in/around this neighborhood being checked ~ ???

The boys could also tell LE if Mommy had male friends over when the ‘fiance’ wasn’t home/working? Mmmmm… or if this guy was with Mommy? Did LE look for the wine bottle at the home in the trash? Or in the cupboards? Get fingerprints off of it? Ask her where the wine bottle is… did she drink it? Did he?

To my knowledge,Cell phones can only be tracked if they are “on” or being used. Anybody’s thoughts on that?

    17. Mimi on October 15th, 2011 8:28 pm

Morning All. Please who ever has baby Lisa please let her come back too her Mother if you killed her then you’ll be handed by the Police please let her go. Mimi

i just google mapped the area to see the neighborhood woods that are being researched today. couldnt help but notice the GIANT RAGING RIVER running less than a 1000 from the family home. WOW. what else in the home is missing that could be used to weigh down a small bag/suitcase? weights? pretty sure the phones are also in said bag. this mom is not being truthful in any way.

    19. barney fife on October 17th, 2011 1:03 pm

also seeing a large resorvoir filled with water near 34th and brighton. not sure if this is filled with water now, but looks like a good place to hide evidence. drain it.

    20. barney fife on October 17th, 2011 1:14 pm

two large ponds and a river within 1/2 mile.
