UNBELIEVABLE … the US unemployment rate is at 9.1% and Barack Obama signed an executive order directing federal officials to develop a government-wide diversity strategy in 90 days and then they have 120 days to implement the program. How much more can this President screw with jobs and have an adverse affect on the economy?
The three-page order released Thursday directs the head of the Office of Personnel Management, a deputy director at the Office of Management and Budget and two other agencies to develop the strategy within 90 days. Agencies then have 120 days to implement it. An Office of Personnel Management report says that in fiscal year 2010, the federal workforce was 66.2 percent white, 17.7 percent black, 8 percent Hispanic, 5.6 percent Asian/Pacific Islander, 1.8 percent Native American. It was 56.1 percent male.

Just curious, while Barack Obama and the first family provide their shared sacrifice in Martha’s Vineyard, does that local picked by Obama have a diversity make up of “66.2% white, 17.7% black, 8% Hispanic, 5.6% Asian/Pacific Islander, 1.8% Native American”? Hmm? Why is it that Obama does not pick a vacation spot that is not more diverse? If he is so concerned with diversity, why would he not want to vacation in a location that would be the same? Maybe, Barack could pass an order to make Martha’s Vineyard more diverse, but then he would not be able to show everyone his total and complete hypocrisy.
So if the Obamas go with the cheese and the chicken we’re at $53 before dessert, tax, tip and booze. Now, looks like it’s bring-your-own-drinks with a corkage fee of $10. So if we assume $10 for a drink, $10 for dessert – you know they’re both having dessert – a 6.25 percent Massachusetts restaurant tax, and a 20 percent tip, we’re at $93 each, or $186 for the couple.
The average weekly Social Security check for a retired worker is about $274. Just saying.

If Obama had actually gone on vacation where he actually owned a home and lived, we would not be having this conversation. You really have no concept of comparing apples with apples. What a shock coming from the LEFT.
The fact that you cannot defend Obama’s call for diversity and contrast that to his vacationing in one of the most non-diverse vacation spots in the US speaks volumes. You are an Obama clones … your answer is blame Bush, rather than defend what Obama is doing.
You are hopeless … however, the Independents see that hypocrisy game Obama has played and so do many others that foolishly voted for him in 2008. Thus the reason for the 40% job approval rating.
Obama is don’t going to be able to blame W in the 2012 election and because none of you on the LEFT have the ability to do so … look for a landslide. People want accountability, not excuses. Obama has worn out his welcome with the American people. Hope and Change turned into just more of the same.

No. 1 Julia, you were either not born, to young to understand or living in a different country if you did not hear any comments about W going to his ranch. One thing about it though, he was never lonely since he always had a pack of liberals at his front gate.
So when one advocates diversity in the workforce, the vacation should be in a diversified place too and when urging millionaires and billionaires to pay taxes one can’t be on the same island as some of them.
Weird logic if any.

SM: If millionaire and billionaire are so evil as Obama says, why would he vacation with them? Not weird logic, that’s what people of principle do. Their actions are the same as their words. Like if you claim you are going to make things more diverse, you do not then go for photo-ops and vacation in lily white bread Martha’s Vineyard.
But Obama is an open book and the gig is up. He does not care for the people, he is an elitist. This is why even blacks recently have questioned what the hell he is going. The Congressional Black Caucus hammered Obama for having no minority towns/cities on his “Magical Misery” tour.
Obama is a complete fraud and America have figured it out. Sadly we must stomach this clown until the 2012 election when he is tossed out of office.
Its okay to go on vacation. The problem with the Obama’s is that vacationing has become a way of life with them while many people are unemployed or under-employed… struggling just to keep their heads above water!
The President, it appears, is too busy kickin’ back in his easy chair, taking in the sites to be concerned about the citizens he was elected to serve. WE are his boss, in a sense, and have every right to complain. I, personally, am tired of his inability to get the job done. He has made matters worse by constantly throwing out excuses, flaunting himself like a celebrity and giving us lip service instead of full service.
Obama made an oath to SERVE this country… that’s a job, not a free pass.

Does anyone else, besides me, find it appauling that this president, in particular, feels the need to threaten to stop paying social security recipients at each and every financial crisis he finds himself in…. which, incidently, seems like a monthly occurance?
A president for the People, by the People and the first thing that he threatens to cut are the benefits our people have WORKed their whole lives for? Now THAT’s hypocricy, at it’s finest!
