Robyn Gardner Missing in Aruba … Suspect & Travel Companion Gary Giordano Remains Quiet … Email Account Active?
Robyn Gardner has been missing in Aruba since August 2, 2011. There has been no contact from the missing woman since the missing American tourist in America was reported missing. According to her travel companion Gary Giordano she vanished while the two were snorkeling at the Nanki Country Club in southern Aruba. However, Aruba LE have stated that his stories have been inconsistent.
We had an opportunity to get the scoop from Jossy Mansur, the Managing Editor of Diario – Aruba with regards to the case of missing Robyn Gardner. Jossy took the time to share the following information that he learned after discussing the missing persons case with Aruba AG Taco Stein.
He explained that the American Tourist, Robeyn Gardner, disappeared between Baby Beach and Rodgers Beach, which is the part behind Nanki Club.
According to Stein, the detention of Gary Giordano ends Monday and after that he will have to present himself before the Judge of Instructions, where it will be determined whether he will have to stay 8 more days in preventive detention.
Stein could not give more details of the case so as not to obstruct the investigation going on, but until he spoke to the DIARIO he indicated that no new evidence has come forward. If and when that happens, it will be given out in a press release by the Prosecution. As for the way Giordano was detained at the airport, he explained that since he offered to stay voluntarily in Aruba, the authorities did not tell him to stay. He explained that when the call came in that the woman was missing they saw no need to treat him as a suspect. It was afterwards, when they evaluated the case better, that they decided it was best to detain him as a suspect. By then, Giordano had gone to the airport to abandon Aruba and was arrested before he could leave.
Stein as asked by the DIARIO if the possibility existed that the body could have been dragged far away from the place by the currents, but experts indicated that on the day of the incident, the current was not strong.
Stein was asked also that when a person drowns, whether his or her body would rise to the surface and he explained that after a few days, when the body enters the process of decomposition, there are gases that accumulate in the body that will force it to come to the surface.
The authorities will continue to check the area for a body, but normally after 3 or 4 days the body should have surfaced.
DIARIO asked Stein whether the authorities are considering the possibility that Robyn Gardner could have been assassinated somewhere else and Stein indicated that he did not want to speculate on the matter.
This is the gist of the inteview with Stein. For the rest, no news has come forward about the case. Only that the couple had stayed at the Marriott hotel and not the Renaissance, as was initially reported
According to reports, even though Robyn Gardner has been missing since 8/2/11, the on again, off again boyfriend says that her email account had been accessed after she was reported missing. Also, her travel companion Gary Giordano is not cooperating with Aruban police.
Prosecutors in Aruba asked the U.S. Department of Justice for assistance in the case of the missing American tourist because the suspect in the case is no longer cooperating with the investigation, according to a statement released Thursday night.
The statement refers to the suspect as G.V.G. It has widely been reported that Gary Giordano, who claimed to be Robyn Gardner’s travel partner, was in jail on the Caribbean island

Somehow, I doubt the ALE will do any better solving this case than they did with Natalee’s!! Of course, the ALE KNOWS what happened to Natalee, but they did everything in the world to cover up for the slimy judge’s son. There’s no “Aruban good ole boy” to protect here and they still probably won’t be able to solve this case.
Prayers for Ms. Garnder’s family and for the Holloway family having to relive this nightmare.
Not to diminish at all this case of a missing American Woman in Aruba—appears as if the perp himself was American and is involved.
What still is maddening is that THE SPORTER, DUTCH BOY FROM ARUBA/NETHERLANDS was the MURDERER of Natalee Holloway and that one stinking, corrupt Island turned their heads.
He murdered again. Justice for Natalee and Stephany and why do so many Americans still frequent this Island?? There are many other Caribbean vacation destinations more worthy of our tourist dollars.
This is my question as well, WHY are Americans – or anyone else for that matter – still visiting that island. How many murders have gone unreported or have been downplayed until Natalee went missing? Plenty I’m sure.
I’m afraid this will be another case of no body, no crime.

SM: You bring up an interesting point, what if they convict him without a body? What does that tell us of how Aruba handled the Natalee Holloway case and let Joran Vander Sloot skate.
R
No body, no confession, no other hard and corroborating evidence that a crime has been committed and he’ll walk just like van der Sloot.
Being the last one to be seen with a person who disappeared, is not a crime.
_______________
SM: Wendy, how many cases has there ever been where the person with the victim who was the last person to see or be with them was not responsible for the crime?
R
@SM
They won’t convict until there’s evidence of a crime just like they did with Holloway.

SM: i would not be so sure. I guarantee the same rules will not be followed. In the case of Natalee Holloway, there was a concerted effort to obstruct justice to protect one of their own, in this case its an American tourist. Watch and see how the investigation will be different.
Hey wait, were two black security guards accused first in the disappearance of Robyn Gardner? Need I say more.
