Hell just froze over … President Barack Obama attends church.
As reported at the Washington Post, one church goer stated “We have been waiting to see this for two years.” Maybe Barack Obama does not attend church on a regular basis because he misses the good old days of Rev. Jeremiah Wright and his inspiring sermons on love, togetherness and peaceful discourse. As the Gateway Pundit states, Obama has not been able to find a pastor who can match his former mentor’s spirit and insight.
Metroplian AME was filled with people who are waiting to see the Obama family.
“We have been waiting to see this for two years,” said one church member as he passed through a line of metal detectors.
President Obama and the first family will join D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray to worship at the Metropolitan African Methodist Episcopal Church in Northwest during a service that will reflect on the spiritual fervor of Martin Luther King Jr.
Last year the president delivered a major address the Sunday before Martin Luther King Jr. Day at the Districts Vermont Avenue Baptist Church where King spoke when he was alive.

One of the church members above stated, “we have been waiting to see this for two years.” Funny, the unemployed in America have been saying the same thing about getting a job under this president.

Wow!! He’s really afraid of not being re-elected.
Obowma has been working as hard as he is capable in behalf
of We the People (taxpayers). Unfortunately for him and for
us, this effort has been a dismal failure. Does he expect to
do penitence and mend his ways?
I believe he did at the advise of his advisors. You dont think he did this on his own do you?
He could still pop-in at the Mosque just for a
little nostalgia trip. Used to be that once a Muslim
always a Muslim didn’t it?
It’s a complete front! What are Obama’s religious beliefs? Ever since the association for over 20 years with Reverend Wright and that entire fiasco he had to distance himself from pre-election, he has chosen to be very secretive about it.
Glad he was called out on this. He references and talks so much of God in all of his speeches (written by others and edited by him) , but there has always been the uncertainty and continual questioning by most Americans—Does Obama really believe in God? What does he really stand for? Who does he really worship (other than himself?)
And, that in and of itself is the sad truth.
This topic is about as important as what shampoo Obama uses, and if it has changed in the past two years.
How silly this conservation is. As the Constitutionalists among you might already know:
Article VI says: “No religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office or public trust under the United States.”
To place any relevance on the religious activities of any office holder is anti-Constitutional. I’ll bet there are millions of hypocrites out there that don’t understand this.

#7- Steve- While you have a valid point regarding Article VI- it appears as if you missed the bottom line of my post.
What does Obama actually stand for? He is an empty suit, we need to have someone who is not afraid to take a stand and name what faith he does believe in. It honestly wouldn’t matter to me either way what it is, but the fact that he avoids it completely tells me he is an Athiest then? How do you speak of God when you can’t ever affirm that you believe in his existence?
Just keeping it real.
If Obama got on TV tomorrow and told the world what faith he does believe in, would that change the minds of people that can’t stand the man? A lot of people would still either not believe him, or think he was a secret Muslim, so what would be the point of him doing this?
This guy makes me sick!! If we needed to have a black pres there were so many others who I would have voted for in a heart beat. Everything this guy does is for show and that only.

Actually, I wasn’t responding to your comment, just in general. However, you raise some interesting points.
You ask “Who does he really worship (other than himself?)”, and I wonder what it would help by knowing. Are there any policies from his administration where knowing his personal religious beliefs would lead you (or others) to change their opinions of them (not him, but his policies)? My guess is not so much (re: #10), which if true pretty much makes this question of religion moot.
I have difficulty combining your comments that he has over 20 years association with Rev. Wright along with him being an atheist; seems hard to figure out the meaning of these two together. Although you say “there has always been the uncertainty and continual questioning by most Americans”, I’m not so sure. It seems at times like there is or has been a lot of noise surrounding this topic, but I have to wonder where it really comes from, and how widespread these questions really are.
I sense the majority of Americans have accepted the basic, conventional story of his religious beliefs, and find them rather average, despite the rancor surrounding Rev. Wright. Some may disagree, as is their choice. I’ll bet I’m setting myself up to be called naive or Pollyanna; so be it. I couldn’t care less the names I’m called by complete strangers. Sometimes the creativity can make them fun to read.
