Senator Robert Menendez (NJ-D) Makes the Naughty List in his Letter to Santa Claus … Global Warming & The North Pole

Ever wonder how you get on Santa’s naughty list?

New Jersey Democrat Senator Robert Menedez wrote a letter to Santa about global warming and the North Pole. Yes, that is correct, this nimrod actually wrote a global warming letter to Santa Claus. How do these people continually get elected. Hey Jersey, wake up and boot this fool out as soon as you can. Not even Al Gore has the audacity to do such a thing.

Rudolph with your nose so bright, won’t you guide my sleigh tonight …

Dear Santa Claus,

I am writing out of concern, because you may have to move from the North Pole due to the dramatic melting of Arctic sea ice. The Navy’s chief oceanographer says that by the summer of 2020 the North Pole may not have summer ice and other scientists project that an ice-free Arctic is possible as soon as 2012!

Scientists overwhelmingly agree that polar ice is melting because of greenhouse gas pollution and I am working hard to reduce these emissions. But there is probably nothing we can do in time to save the North Pole. I am worried about your safety and your ability to deliver billions of Christmas gifts if the ice cap on the North Pole no longer stays frozen all year. What will happen to your house, your workshop, the elves’ houses and your reindeer barns? (read the resy of this dribble at the HuffPo)

Yeah, what Weasel Zippers said, I have been wondering the same for years.

Global warming, didn’t Menendez read the following article that states that another ice age is on the way? Santa may not have too much time to read the NJ Senator’s letter because he is too busy trying to figure out how he Rudolph  and his reindeer are going to get through all the snow and frigid cold weather in Great Britain.  Santa probably thinks that the overly white Christmas in Europe might be more pressing than Menendez’s letter. Santa finally had to use the Senator’s letter to line the his bird cage when learning that there was going to be snow in South Town this year.

An interesting take by Doug Powers and the Powers that Be via Michelle Malkin.com and why would a Democrat like Robert Menendez even care about Santa.

Since when does a self-respecting Democrat care about St. Nick, anyway? Santa Claus is a morbidly obese future burden on the health care system who utilizes animal slave labor and vertically-challenged sweatshop workers who are paid well below a living wage in a non-union environment to manufacture and deliver toys that are fraught with small-part choking hazards that may promote violence. Democrats should be more than happy to see Santa forced to move down here where he’ll be more easily regulated and they can confiscate their fair share of the presents.

From the linked article (another ice age is on the way):

“Piers Corbyn believes that the last three winters could be the harbinger of a mini ice age that could be upon us by 2035, and that it could start to be colder than at any time in the last 200 years. He goes on to speculate that a genuine ice age might then settle in, since an ice age is now cyclically overdue.”

It also states: “I have not a clue whether his methods are sound or not.”

I may be reading this wrong, but it seems there is a bit of uncertainty in the these conclusions. I’m not sure this “states that another ice age is on the way”, as you assert.

If I were to try and categorize the opinions from Piers, it seems that he is talking more about weather than climate.

However, as this is a discussion about science, it deserves to be heard and considered, I’m sure you’ll agree. Just as all science regarding climate change deserves.

SM: Dude, global warming is BS, what happened to our predicted ice age in the 1970′s? Hell, even wikileaks exposed docs that showed manipulation. What about the middle age ice age, it was warmer then.

Its called cyclical weather. I guess we have hit a liberal nerve that we dare question facts for those who worship at the alter of global warming.

re: “hit a liberal nerve” & “dare question facts for those who worship at the alter of global warming

If you read my entire post, it was clear that I said these scientific ideas “deserve to be heard and considered“. Do you agree or not, as I mentioned? Furthermore, to be fair and clear, all scientific ideas deserve to be treated this way. Do you still agree (or not)?

As far as I can tell, you place little faith in the conditional statements I highlighted. I really can’t figure out why that would be. Too further add to the articles actual statements, consider this portion that seems to be unrepresented in your post:

Is he barmy? Of course he may be just a fluke-artist. It may be just luck that he has apparently predicted recent weather patterns more accurately than government-sponsored scientists. Nothing he says, to my mind, disproves the view of the overwhelming majority of scientists, that our species is putting so much extra CO? into the atmosphere that we must expect global warming.

I really don’t know the value of simply calling global climate change “BS”. It’s a statement that has no ability to be proved or disproved. From what I know, it’s not scientific to have a closed mind and simply ignore results that don’t fit a preconceived notion of reality, independent of findings based on reality.

If someone will only believe that this is all BS, then having or not having supporting documents like the linked one here is immaterial. I don’t disagree with the ability of anyone being allowed to hold this position; its their personal choice. However, once they have decided, any further findings are not valuable because their position is permanent and not subject to change.

Alternatively, there may be those who value all findings, and desire to consider ideas that oppose their current belief. That is my situation. I think that Corbyn deserves to have his ideas heard and considered. I guess this is what makes me, in your world, a liberal. I just think I’m a reasonable and thinking person who is open to all scientific ideas.

BTW, I think the idea of a letter to Santa like this is too silly to be taken seriously.

SM: It has been proved that the global warming agendist manipulated the data and tried to con the world with withholding information. They tried th censure those who dared disagree.

Then we agree because I think Menendez is silly to be taken seriously and the rest of the blame man on global warming people are as well.
