Arrest in Oklahoma middle school for possession of knife, gun, drugs, bong, cigarettes, explosive device, martial arts weapons … Sharpie.
Our schools today have completely lost their minds. A 13 year old boy was arrested at an Oklahoma City middle school for of all things possession a Sharpie. Yes, you read that correctly. The brilliance of our “edumacators”filed a citizens arrest against the boy for having a magic marker. Words do not even begin to explain the stupidity of the 50 year old Roosevelt Middle School teacher DeLynn Woodside. This fool would attempt to ruin a kids future over having a Sharpie? Maybe the Roosevelt Middle School teacher should be checked to see if she possesses a brain.
Can we make a citizens arrest of DeLynn Woodside on an ignorance violation?
According to an Oklahoma City Police Department report, the boy was spotted “in possession of a permanent marker” by Roosevelt Middle School teacher DeLynn Woodside. The 50-year-old educator told cop Miguel Campos that the student was “writing on a piece of paper, which caused it to bleed over onto the desk.”
Woodside, pictured at right, reported that the child, whose name was redacted by police from the report, attempted to hide the marker when she asked him for it.Strangely, Woodside’s Facebook page reveals that her “likes and interests” include the official “Sharpie Permanent Markers” page on Facebook.
Campos reported that he allowed Woodside, a seventh grade math teacher, to “sign a citation” against the boy, who was then transported to the Community Intervention Center, a juvenile holding facility. A police sergeant subsequently “booked the marker into the property room.”
A brilliant observation from Moonbattery, “when will miscreants learn that unless you’re an illegal alien, crime doesn’t pay?” Had this kid been an illegal and one of Harry Reid’s “Dream Act” amnesty targets … they would not have been arrested for having a black Sharpie, they would have been bought the entire color pack.

About 90 percent of primary and middle school teachers fit the catagory of mostly brainless with zero common sense.
If one looks at the grade point levels of these people, except for a very few, they will be the lowest in their college classes.
This is sad that parents have to turn their children over to these idiots to be educated.
If one looks at some of the classes taken to get a degree, it will be a contest between basketweaving and feel good classes.
Been there to watch them ,so I know whereof I speak.
American school teachers (‘educators’) are taught

system that they later teach within. It is a sorry
circle of decaying values and misplaced values.
Perhaps it is wise to discontinue the Department of
Education altogether. Getting back to the basics
would be so welcome.
Most of the school teachers are brainless and have zero common sense. They all behave with school students very rudely…so before arresting students need to give punishment to the teachers…because students are always not wrong…

There are many good teachers out there. Some are really giving the rest a bad name re: this one, sex perverts, etc.
Support the good ones who use their own money for class supplies, books, loose sleep over their students, take classes to be current in the areas of teaching and remain dedicated.
Magic markers can be permanent. Some are very had to get off tables and desks. Ajax and other cleaners take the coating off the tables and desks along with the marker.
I would question whether the school has a policy on this and whether the students know the policy. I don’t agree with the punishment. Where is the principal in all this? This should have been a school only matter.
Is there more background to this story that we haven’t been told?
Many of us have had great teachers and wouldn’t be where we are now if not for them. Education is one way to break out of the status quo and be better.

a teachers degreee is the easiest degree to go after in college. i know a lot of liberals that go into teaching because the courses are generally very easy.
i pray we can get our education system worked out in the US. our overall teenager is too obsessed with clothes, video games and in general nothing but fluff.
parenting is also a bust. parents are not teaching their children to have discipline, respect or the curiosity to learn. how can you teach your child anything when children are having children. two thirds of the girls that graduated with my daughter are now mothers without fathers. grandparents are now babysitting while their daughter is off to pary.
we are in a bad situation in the USA. lets pray for our country and start putting into action some serious reform at least in our school system.
Just look at her…….. she needed attention, I doubt whether she has any happiness in her life.

Furthermore if I where the Parent of that Boy I would do my best to get her Teaching License revoked.
That is obsolutely crazy to have a Boy arrested for a Sharpie and the Principal needs to be fired to for letting this happen in the first place.
