Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal Rips Obama Administration … Calls TSA Searches Excessive

From the man who brought us leadership in the BP oil spill, provides us with sanity and common sense with the TSA and their excessive searches. Hint: It ain’t Barack Obama.

Louisiana Republican Governor Bobby Jindal ripped the Obama administration and the TSA for their complete mishandling of the TSA naked scans of pre-teen girls, fondling, strip searches, oh that’s right pat-downs. Jindal questioned the policy and the lack of communication to the American people in telling them ahead of the busiest air travel holiday what they would be doing.  Jindal accused the Obama administration of being on the defensive in the war on terror … “The bottom line is yes we need to secure our country, but simply playing defense isn’t enough.

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal (R) blasted the Obama administration’s handling suspected terrorist and called the Transportation Security Administration’s controversial search procedures excessive during NBC’s Meet the Press on Sunday.

“I think the American people are worried when they see an administration worried about reading Miranda rights to the underwear bomber,” Jindal said. “[They're] so worried about rights of the terrorists, what about the rights of innocent American travelers?”

Jindal said he understands the need to safeguard the country but is concerned the administration is not employing common sense or intelligence when it allows TSA to deploy full-body scanners and implement aggressive pat-downs as part of airport security. He said there is no reason to search young girls or grandmothers en route to visit family members.

“I’m concerned out of political correctness we’re screening people that don’t need it,” Jindal said, adding that TSA should look at passengers’ travel patterns, how they purchased their ticket and other information to screen which passengers pose a threat.

Jindal said the TSA failed to effectively communicate to the public why it was ramping up security procedures ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Barack Obama just like every thing else he has put his hands on since he has become president is clueless. Obama stands by the lack of common sense approach by the TSA. What else would we expect from a President who was wrong on stimulus, health care, jobs, unemployment and illegal immigration.  From the people’s backlash, the TSA appears to be back tracking on their original statement on their search polices. Now it appears that the TSA might be revising it.

The TSA has stopped ZERO terrorist. All would be terrorist bombers have been stopped by passenger and crew.

The inmates are running the asylum. This is government without common sense, camp run amuck.

Until the people clamp down on this behavior, it will continue.

The people elected an idiot, so now we have to pay the price.

Scaredmonkeys, I am trying to post this again…if you found the original, please delete this, thanx

…and to make sure that they are law-abiding thugs, they will refrain from patting down Muslim women wearing a hijab or burqa.

WTF? Has sharia law really entered and polluted the beautiful shores of our great country? If what I have read from several sources is correct, they have just instructed the terrorists what to do to escape detection.

Ladies and gentlemen, I would advise you to consider other means of transportation until this circus of demeaning and humiliating AMERICAN citizens comes to an abrupt and deserved end.

Whether it takes 1 or more days, it is not worth the stress to fly.

…and the scanners in my opinion pose a serious health hazard.

Remember my previous post where 10s of thousands of doctors smoked camel cigarettes in 1949? If you are too young here it is once again.

…my point being is that cumulative radiation of the scanners may affect you rather adversely, after all.

Profiling and bomb-sniffing dogs are the way to go here, folks. There is NO better alternative! And let’s start with those wearing the hijabs and burqas, not your innocent toddlers and grandparents in wheelchairs. We are traumatizing our children at the hands of groping TSA agents and we tell our children not to let any stranger touch you inappropriately. We gotta do better, people.

1 and 2 are exactly right. It’s nuts that “we” respect the religion of the very people who called a jihad upon Americans over the very rights of our own citizens.

Sorry, if you ask me – if you are a natural born American, you probably should receive the lowest level if airport screening. If you are a foreigner, specifically from a Muslim country or have spend more than a week or two in a Muslim Country, you should receive the HIGHEST level of screening.

      # 2- The INMATES ARE RUNNING THE ASYLUM !!

So very true. Go, Bobby !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

St. Stephen—-you are so right as well.

We have to do MUCH MUCH better!

#5- Correct! If all of the Posters here and the Editor of this blog and the LA Governor and millions more of American Citizens can see the problem here——Here is the big question of the day:

Why is it that OBAMA/HIS ADMINISTRATION/TSA & OUR OWN GOVERNMENT CANNOT?

Ugh! Makes me want to scream. I am all for heightened security during high volume travel times, and all for adequate and regulatory SECURITY SCREENING for Air Travel in general–but who is calling the shots here?

This is insanity. We must not and cannot stand by and watch it happen? What can we really do?

I have a short trip to New Jersey planned in December and I really do not wish to drive. So- what am I, the “Average” American Citizen to do? Cancel my trip bc of this BS? What the ?

Whether traveling in the States or Internationally- what is the answer here? It boggles my mind how it has even been allowed to get this far out of control.

FILE A COMPLAINT! WANT TO TELL THE TSA DIRECTLY—DON’T TOUCH MY JUNK???

      Article:

      http://technolog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2010/11/22/5510440-tell-the-tsa-dont-touch-my-junk-heres-how

LINK FOR TSA COMPLAINT FORM–File On-Line:

      https://contact.tsa.dhs.gov/DynaForm.aspx?FormID=10

Let’s all file a written (albeit electronic) complaint. Pass it on. With the same great efficiency as how our Federal Government is currently being run, their Website will probably crash before the end of this week anyway.

=)~ Eff you TSA ! You cannot and WILL NOT TOUCH MY JUNK, and I OBJECT!

    8. NGBoston on November 22nd, 2010 5:05 pm

Lost one more post where link is provided to file a formal complaint w/TSA…

Thanks, Klaas—Sorry- you are one busy Moderator today.

The ONLY logical way to screen potential terrorists is direct
in-the-eye unpredictable interrogation exactly the way that
Israel successfully does it today. If any so called ‘religion’ gets
a pass from groping or backscatter, the same dispensation
must be extended (demanded by) to ALL religions and non-
      religions as well.

      Two points:

      * The TSA person groping you isn’t a Law Enforcement officer; he is a glorified baggage handler.

      * They have a workable drug interdiction program and they don’t do random strip-searches for drugs; they have a profile for drug smugglers and they interview people who match the profile.

    11. NGBoston on November 23rd, 2010 9:09 pm

@#10- Sgt. York- Correct—and that is a big problem right there. The majority of the TSA Staffers have little to no LE Background anyway. What the heck does the TSA expect for just barely over minimum wage to start?

While you are correct there is a protocol in place TSA “baggage handlers” must follow—do you not agree that some of what is being reported is profiling gone amok?

Come on, Children? The Elderly? The Handicapped? A Breast Cancer Survivor asked to remove her prothesis? Come on, Sarge–what the hell is going on here?

I agree certain Security measures must be in place since Air Safety Travel is an important issue. Question is: How much is too much? When does a pat down become invasive and why do we as American Citizens—born here in our OWN COUNTRY have to be subjected to this unless, as you point out- we have a prior “suspicious” profile already established or are placed on a “No Fly” or alerted check list in advance?

      Thanks
