YIKES, 52 Year Old NC Missing Man David Reuben Green Jr. Found Dead in Feezer, Wendy Edmond Green Arrested for Murder

A Wake County, NC woman, 41 year old Wendy Edmond Green has been arrested and charged with murder in the death of her missing live-in boyfriend David Reuben Green Jr. He had been reported missing by a family member in September 2010. Authorities had initially searched the Raleigh, NC home shared by the two and found nothing. However, investigators returned to the home on September 7 to search for further clues and came across a freezer. They opened the freezer and found the missing man’s body.

Wendy Green was detained without incident at her new home in Robeson County on Friday where she was living with her two teenage children, which were the product of her long relationship with David Greene.

The arrest was a consequence of a second search conducted by authorities in Wendy’s former residence in Raleigh. The first search on September 7 did not reveal anything suspicious. However, police officers noted a powerful smell which was not present during the first visit.

Wendy Edmond Green is being held without bond in the Wake County Jail on charges of first-degree murder.

It is being reported that David Green apparently died of blunt force trauma caused by severe injuries from unknown cutting instruments; however, authorities are trying to determine the exact date of the murder. Forensic’s believe that Green was killed around April; however, the sheriff’s office had reason to believe the actual murder took place as far back as January.

Still missing is the youngest child of Wendy Edmond Green, 15 year old David Green.

Another concern for Wake County authorities is the disappearance of Wendy’s youngest child, 15-year-old David Green. Investigators are concerned about his safety.

Meanwhile, Wendy’s daughter Alexis Green, 17, remains imprisoned at the Wake County Jail since September 16. She is detained on multiple charges including contempt of court and failure to appear after her arrest due to burglary

Girlfriend of man found dead in freezer pleads guilty to murder

Raleigh, N.C. — The longtime girlfriend of a Raleigh man found decapitated in a freezer last year pleaded guilty Friday to second-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in the case.

A judge sentenced Wendy Edmond Green to 30 to 46 years in prison. She is also ordered to undergo a psychological and mental health evaluation.

Green, 42, was scheduled to go to trial in September and faced a first-degree murder charge in the death of David Ruben Green Jr., 52.

The couple’s children, Alexis Morgan Green, 17, and David Ruben Green III, 15, were also charged with first-degree murder and will have their cases reviewed at another hearing this year.

Investigators say in search warrants that the children gave similar statements that implicate all three “as having played active roles” in planning, carrying out and covering up the slaying.
