Rick Sanchez Fired from CNN, Calls Jon Stewart a Bigot & CNN Run by Jews

Just curious, did Rich Sanchez not expect to be fired after making these comments?

Rick Sanchez fired from CNN after making some controversial comments on XM Sirius radio program “Stand-Up with Pete Dominick. From CNN comes the following. What was Sanchez thinking? Or maybe that was the problem, he was not. Sanchez made comments regarding Jews and Jon Stewart and effectively sealed his own fate. Looks like the CNN show roster is about to change some more.

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez abruptly left the network Friday afternoon, just one day after making controversial comments on a satellite radio program.

“Rick Sanchez is no longer with the company,” according to a statement from CNN. “We thank Rick for his years of service and we wish him well.”

On Thursday, Sanchez appeared on the XM Sirius radio program “Stand-Up with Pete Dominick.” During the interview with Dominick, Sanchez called “The Daily Show’s” Jon Stewart “a bigot” and then said that he was bigoted against “everybody else who’s not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?”

See VIDEO at Mediateof Sanchez calling Jon Stewart a bigot.

Dominick: How is he a bigot?
Sanchez: I think he looks at the world through, his mom, who was a school teacher, and his dad, who was a physicist or something like that. Great, I’m so happy that he grew up in a suburban middle class New Jersey home with everything you could ever imagine.
Dominick: What group is he bigoted towards?
Sanchez: Everybody else who’s not like him. Look at his show, I mean, what does he surround himself with?

Sanchez further went on to bury himself.

I’m telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart, and to imply that somehow they, the people in this country who are Jewish, are an oppressed minority? Yeah.

At the Gateway Pundit they asks a good question, ”If Rick Sanchez said “Christians” instead of “Jews” and “Rush Limbaugh” instead of “Jon Stewart”, would he still have been fired? Somehow I doubt it.”

Had these comments not been made about a CNN loved Jon Stewart, I see no problems. That’s what Rick Sanchez thinks of Jon Stewart and Jon Stewart says a lot worse about people. So why the double standard? Why is Jon Stewart allowed to say some of the outrageous things he says, but Sanchez is not?

Ratings got Rick fired. He was trying to play the race card to keep his job. Jon Stewart makes fun of everyone.

Curious, the Shah of Iran had made similar comments back in the 70′s. Yet, he was the first muslim head of state to acknowledge the existance of the jewish state.
